I’m currently using Garmin Venu 2. Last year I switched from Android to iOS, and I enjoy it. Been looking for an Apple Watch for a while now, but the battery life is holding me back. Maybe the Ultra is the way to go? But I think I’ll wait till September to see if they announce a new version this year.

Do you know a way to add or remove old racer routes. I started mine a year ago and they are short compared to the routes I ride now, and would like to extend or make new ones, but can find a way. Any Ideas? Could you ask Apple?

It depends on your wrist size. I've got used to it very fast, and I wouldn't go back to a normal AW (44-45mm), I don't know why, they kinda look like toy watches (especially of we talk about aluminum ones) compared to the big titanium Ultra's case.

Is it better to put a case on apple ultra or without a case?
I dropped mine in the garage. It only got a few barely noticeable scratches on the titanium. Thing is a tank

My Garmin instinct 2s its a third from the ultra’s price and it lasts me 3 weeks with HR on.

#imadeit Reviewing because I currently have the Series 5, which just doesn’t hold up it’s battery anymore. I’m stuck between the 8, and the ultra. I deliver and install appliances for a living, I’m ALWAYS hitting my hand on things, reaching into tight spaces and hitting my watch on things. It seems the Ultra would be the best for me. Thoughts? Did you need/use a screen protector at all?
I was in exactly the same situation than the one you describe and I’ve purchased the Watch Ultra in October last year… Never regretted this purchase as it is the Watch I washed to have before. Other models are too sleek and I do lots of activities (diving, swimming, running).
If you can afford, go for the Watch Ultra!
I’ve bought it with the Ocean Band and I have also purchased the Trail Loop, I wouldn’t recommend the Alpine Loop though.

Before moving to Apple, I was team Samsung. The watch 5 pro had wonderful battery but the bands suck and are actually too small for my wrist. Watch 4 was already bad enough for better battery compared to 3, and I don’t want to deal with sub 18hr battery for a smart watch. The ultra is comfy af and it’s a great piece of mind that it could last a bit closer to the watch 5 pro, if only my bleeding wallet wasn’t always on my mind. Oh well, hopefully watch ultra has great trade in value in 2-3 years

I really liked your video! I agree 100% with everything you said especially the dive comment. We opened our pool a few weeks ago & I saw the dive thing pop up. It was really cool. I was also just swimming & not diving. I’ve had my Ultra since the first day it hit the stores & I love it. I feel naked without it. It sucks because tomorrow I have jury duty & they don’t allow smartwatches in the courthouse. I have a watch 6 & I want the ultra but being a technician you have to get your arms into some tight spaces and I have trouble with my 6. Also it is a bit pricey so I think I’ll wait until starts selling refurb or ultra 2 comes out and ultra 1 goes on major sale/clearance #ImAdEiT
I just got my Ultra from Amazon Renewed for $650, so I have 90 days to return it if I need to. But the really thing about it is that I can still add AppleCare to it! I have the full 60 days to get it activated if I want. It’s a great deal that I’m glad I didn’t pass up that deal!
Tbh, the watch is awesome, but I think it’s a bit overkill and it’s for a very niche market only for a certain group of people, I settled for the 8 series because it has all I need for working out and for my job
Anyone else have the watch on os10 and experiencing constant restarts?
I realy want a nice looking apple watch. But i still cannot justify the price for low battery life. I need at least 1 charge for 1 month. A battery that will stay healthy for at least 8 years, glucose meter would be nice for such a givin price aswell. Other than that i think the watch ultra is beautiful. But for me 3 days for 1 fully charged battery is not impressive. At least for the time beeing give solar charge for basic essentials like time,date, monochrome view and compass. I hope apple will notice this video and comments. Because your video is a great addition for tech lovers

Recent ultra owner and, awesome. Battery life is paramount for cellular. I now take off with just the watch, and can listen to music while running a car navigation around the city, and a message comes in. Fulfilling that promise.

I’m a recent adopter of the ultra. I’m getting 72 hours of battery life when the watch is connected to my iPhone - this is in its default mode and not ultra power saving mode.
What sort of battery is everyone else getting? Also does anyone use this watch on cellular routinely and what sort of battery time are you getting in this mode? Thanks

I hated the design initially. It grew on me and I recently pulled the trigger on one over the 45mm series 8. Features aside, the 49mm screen is awesome. No going back. 🤝

It doesn’t matter what watch/phone/tablet I have. I take no chances and always charge everything to 100% whenever I have the opportunity to plug in.

It’s an awesome watch. Love it as a smartwatch. Battery life for AW is good but it’s not awesome. 2days better life is aweful and doesn’t resolve the issues with this. Also for a fitness watch it’s just not good. It has the hardware but software is just poor in comparison to Garmin. It doesn’t even have a health app on watch. What is the about? How can a fitness watch not have a native health app. There are work around with other app but for this price this is not acceptable. Garmin Epix Pro for me all the way but Ultra is a great smartwatch but not good for serious athlete’s.

The battery life is good but only compared to the other Apple Watches, compared to the Fenix or other higher end Garmin watches, battery life is a joke and it isn’t really for extreme adventures, Garmins are.
But they don’t do what Apple Watch does. In certain areas.
