I'm still using my 12 Pro Max. I wanted to break away from the consumerism I found myself in and now won't upgrade anything for 7 years. Decided this in 2022. Modern, premium tech will last that long with battery replacements. The 19 Pro Max will hopefully be 100% bezel-less. The dynamic island is just too big.
I just got the 15 Pro Max after being on Android ever since the first smartphones launched on the market and I compared it to my girlfriend's 11 Pro Max. Aside from the cameras and the 120 hz screen, almost everything felt identically close in terms of performance, especially for day to day usage. I completely agree with your take and will probably not upgrade until the 20 pro max or further. Great mindset.
@@Habit117 Glad you agree. Sure there are some differences like you said but it's no reason to constantly upgrade. I decided this myself in 2022 but tbh most of my tech is from 2017-2021 so I've just held on to what I have.
It also weakens your willpower and makes you appreciate things less since you're constantly getting something new. 10-20 years ago we wouldn't replace something until it broke or for a decade. So it's just crazy that a USB C port or dynamic island means now I have to get a brand new phone. It's insane. I chose 7 years because tech does move fast so the days of keeping things for 10 years is over but every 7 years is 3 times in 20 years vs 2 times in 20 years. Which I think is a healthy middle ground. But again I do buy premium tech, so I have no issue with expensive things. It's just expensive things literally every 1-2 years, which has to stop. Anyways, I have had my UE Boom bluetooth speaker since 2017 so it's time to upgrade that lol. Gonna go with this $280 sci-fi looking one made by Gravastar. Pricy but I'll have it until 2031 so it's no issue 👍
@@equivalentexchangeisalie5726 I feel like people try to overcomplicate planned obsolence too much, thinking that if their new cars are like that, technology should be on the same scale, but it is not. You don’t have to service your tech as long as you take good care of it. Also I have heard good things about Gravastar, but only regarding their PC peripherals. ✌️
Can’t imagine. Just looking at the difference between them makes me cringe😬
@@theeunbounddd Can't imagine what? And what makes you cringe and how so?
I loved my 15 pro but my lil sister needed a new phone but she couldn't afford the new 15 so i sold it to her for a great price and sje was so happy so It gave me a excuse to switch to s24 ultra so while i was in best buy with her i bought me a new s24 ultra and couldn't be more happier we borj walked out bestbuy brokeas shit amd happy at the same time
Really loving my s24 ultra too (Violet)
Coming from android, the 15 pro max is my first iPhone ever…I only used android/samsung since 2009 and wow, I can’t believe I waited so long to switch. I’ll probably never go back to android.
Welcome to the Dark side young Sixth Lord
what do you prefer about the iphone?
@@zackdelarocha8 functionality
Yeah probably won’t switch back
@@brandonsmith6962The Dark side is what's preffered by most professionals, affluent people and of course, DEVELOPERS😂
At least in my experience. The iPhone 15 pro max I own has amazing battery life. Best battery I ever had. I came from the note 20 ultra
Same here
bro those pro res videos you took are insane!!!! wow
Another great, well-put together video Terren. Still on my 12 Pro, going to wait for the 16 to see if I should go with that or the 15 Pro. #Toronto
I use the action button everyday,I love it so much. Recently just found out that theres now a native way to change its function based off of device orientation (you used to have to use an app to do that).
thanks for the review mystical prime
Very professional analysis! Thank you!
I tried a whole bunch of Android smartphones this year hoping to find something that would make me switch back to Android, even though I am 100% in the Apple ecosystem (iPhone, Mac mini, iPad).
The only one I found that could replace my iPhone is the Pixel 8 Pro. I didn’t encounter the same issues I usually find with Android smartphones. The voice command works perfectly (unlike other Android devices where, for some reason, I can never get the voice command to work on the Gboard keyboard). Additionally, when setting up a new phone, you can have an exact copy of your old Pixel, just like you can with a new iPhone.
This isn’t the case with Samsung, etc., where you end up having to put all the apps back into folders yourself, reorganize everything, etc.
In the end, I found that the photo and video quality were not as good as on the iPhone, so I kept my iPhone 15 Pro Max and returned the Pixel. However, I’m still looking forward to seeing the Pixel 9 Pro XL. I would be very happy to see Google reclaim its crown as the king of photography.
They have the resources and talent; I don’t know what’s missing for them to achieve it.
Having a disability, voice command allows me to write very quickly without exhausting myself, so it’s indispensable for me. Additionally, I don’t understand why, when copying data from an old Android smartphone to a new one, you don’t get an exact copy of what you had on the old one. You have to reorganize everything, redo your folders from scratch, etc. This is a basic feature, and Android is advanced enough to have this functionality. I will never understand this.
ur music tastte is worth my subscription
Great video ! Love my 15 pro max , my only gripe with the software is the notifications. I hope they change it up in the future.
what about the notifications?
What’s wrong with it??
Those scratches male my heart bleed. How Bad can someone treat their tech?
I don’t know why they couldn’t come out with a pink pro max they would have made a killing
I know right that pink is so gorgeous 😢
Nice video
Are you saying always on display is newer to Android phones widely? Because Samsung has had it since the S7.
nope. he mentioned the half lit screen being new on the iPhones
Only problem with my 15 Pro Max is in low light photos are atrocious
Hope the next phone will solve that
Might be a defective camera then because my low light pics are fantastic.
What do you think of the iPhone 15 Pro Max? :)
The Pro Max is more bearable with the titanium, so this is my first time sticking with it over the regular Pro variant that I usually prefer.
@@DeusRegum Same!! I'm not a fan of heavy devices, so having this titanium bring down the weight helps people still comfortably use larger phones.
@@TerrenRule I'd like to see all of the next Apple products pair Touch ID and Face ID all on the same exact devices for better biometrics. I'm also hoping that Apple creates their own VPN for better cybersecurity as well
It’s the 13 pro max on steroids !! The 15 pro max is a fabulous device , and I’m happy with my purchase . Way better than the 14pro max also !
Very nice mobile ,but some times, for start problem
Cool!✌️
i haven't had an iPhone since the 6 plus, and the only reason im back is blue bubble's and usb-c 😂
the only problem I see with the 15 pro max is the action button. It should be on the opposite side. I rarely use it. Seems a pointless feature.
Which ring is that?
Ultrahuman Ring Air! :) A review of it is coming soon
I love your book choices. Gary Vaynerchuk Crushing it was great 😎 I didn't read the passion one
Thanks!! Yeah I'm a big fan of his!
I went from iPhone 11 base to iPhone 15 pro max. It’s ok. I kinda wish I got the smaller pro model.
I like 15 pro !
Not the max
iPhone 15 pro max is great nice boring iPhone. I have the iPhone 15 pro max. I going to try and not upgrade my iPhone for the next five to four years, nothing has change for a while.
What are you talking about I have both phones they both are the best cameras
Does the always on display drain a lot of your battery ?
Yes
I don’t know about this guy but I recommend that have a iPhone for a long time to switch to Samsung legion trust me you won’t regret it . Hold the line
Samsung had always on display since 2016 (Galaxy s7)
They didn't always have the ability to see the wallpaper though, that was first done by iPhone 14 Pro series to do something more than just show "a time and date"
Your battery Maximum Capacity already 99%! 🤔🤷🏻♂️
How's that bad? He's had the phone for almost 8 months.
Mine was 99% after only 27 charge cycles 😔.
I will wait IPhone 16 pro this year!
But I don’t like Max! It’s too big!
I don’t like big Ass iPhone pro max! Sorry 🤦
I m sure you have many regrets
That would only be if he switched to using Android, then the regrets would come in bucketfuls daily.
@@robhughes8516 android is a world where no one have any regrets. It can do many things which ios can just dream about.
Explain please
@@robhughes8516android is a joke 😅
Only if you don’t get this iPhone 😊
Are you saying always on display is newer to Android phones widely? Because Samsung has had it since the S7.
Agreed
But who wants Samsung when you can get an iPhone? 😅
