My elementary school had many FS65s and I use to ride one like this when I was a kid. The sound of that engine brings back memories I love it
My county has so many fs65s and i ride one too with the whine 22009 a 2002 Thomas Fs65 w the 5.9 Cummins and AT545

Grew up with the AT545 when I was in Elementary school going up to High school, love how it whined in 2nd gear especially going up hill.
We got a spare like that one except it was a 2006. Miss that bus, now we got our normal

Nice to spot a manual door on these haven't seen them in a long time! That rattling is the door since its a manual style, the right most door is the one that is shaking since nothing is holding it tight unlike the left side being held by the locking arm! Also I loved seeing that door action!

You can really hear that AT545 whine
The whine makes it sound kind of like cat 3126 but the throaty sound makes me know it’s Cummins 5.9 best sounding Cummins engine

I think the rattle was whatever the camera was attached to. The door and window seem to shake along with the rattle.
I believe it was the window.

That acceleration sounds like a TC2000. What a epic AT-545! Could you please make another video on this bus without the rattles?
The tc2000 sound worse with the 5.9 Cummins ngl Fs65s at my school sound way more better with the whine.

its so weird hearing the engine of this bus. its a bus that sounds like a mixture between a 1980s bus and a 1990s bus, granted it is a 1999. it to me actually sounds closely similar to the charleston trolley diesel buses that use to take visitors around downtown.
