    Its awesome people have this stuff still but what sucks is they let it rot, wont sell, or when the do they price it do only the rich can get it... Its so hard for someone to find something and restore it for the love of doing it with their kid, nothing like the blood and sweat of working on a car with your dad...thx man

    You mentioned at 06:04 about coming and walking the yard ourselves. I would be glad to do that if I knew where it is. I think he would probably sell parts, otherwise, why are they in the salvage yard business? I imagine they don't want people calling asking about parts which takes up a lot of their time, and then the customer never show up anyway. What county is it in and I'll go there and find it. Thanks.

    I live about five miles from that yard, it is very strange that he will not sell those classics, someday he will be gone, then watch what happens, but for now what a waste. There are a lot of millionaires in this area, old oil money.

    Nice place but for the life of me I can’t figure out why someone even if they have money why they’d want to hoard up this many classics and keep them from being restored by someone that would love to have one of them. Because these are the cars that you think of when you hear American muscle cars.

      I hoard cars as well. Truth is these people are essential to keeping old cars alive. So many people cry about other people's belongings and what they do with them, but won't do it themselves. Meaning....there are so few people that are actually going to go out and save cars like these. I'm happy someone is still doing it.

    • @maxboya

      @@hearsegod8909 better to sell of the cars to people who can bring the cars back to life instead of letting them get further and further into the ground just hoarding the cars. Y’all hoarders think of anything to justify hoarding cars yet the reality is stubborn people like yourself don’t appreciate the cars enough. If ya did then you would enjoy them for what they are then let the next generation keep the cars on the road. Let them be restored and driven as they should be!

    • @kevinfloyd808
      @kevinfloyd808 Рік тому +6

      @@hearsegod8909 I agree peoe can mostly do what they want with what they own. But there is no reasonable way to conclude that owning dozens or hundreds of rare old cars, and letting them sit untouched rotting in the elements forever is "saving" them. You can do as you like with your property but can't truthfully say your helping anything about the classic car world by letting them rot away untouched. If somone owns more than they can or want to store well and gradually fix up and get running, they could vette buyers for people they believe have the skills and resources to repair or restore them , and sell some off. Their is absolutely a limit to how long these cars can sit untouched in the elements and still be even remotely viable as a restore or even patch up or "restomod" project. Eventually they are just rustpiles. I have a few waiting for time in my schedule/budget, but they are inside shops, cleaned, frames either oiled or painted,rusty spots on body have been hit with rust converter, engines drained of water, sealed up after fogging with oil, and cranked or rotated a couple of times a year...the ones I didn't have room, budget, or energy to do at least that, have been sold.. you don't have to...you just can't claim to be "saving" anything if you dont..

    Пусть это и кладбище брошенной и поломанной техники, но все равно это атмосфера Америки.
    Для любого настоящего мужчины это вызывает грусть и одновременно адреналин!

    Of course he's hesitant to sell those, every one he sells means he has one less, and they aren't coming back in anymore. the Chargers are what bring people into those places, even just to look. if he runs out of those it will be a new era for him.

    In the 80's and 90's my buddies dad made a living solely off of driving to Texas with a trailer picking up Ford truck body parts and whole trucks. mostly rust free trucks and farmers and ranchers would just park their old truck when they bought a new one. We are from Ohio where a those older trucks can disappear in a couple years due to rust

    Man oh man, can’t believe he’s got scraps and won’t sell. Really baffles me that it seems some people just want to tease ya with what they got.
    Well pretty soon it will only be electric vehicles, and that is in un-American to be sure. He should sell!

    Great video and not a waste of time......as you said privacy is key and the owner of this yard should be respected for his decision. Also....I am surprised that someone hasn't recognized where this place is, I did a google map search and found it and no , it wasn't hard to find. And a big 'NO' here I will not say where in TEXAS it is.
