    ----
    WHO IS JIANG YU SHAN:
    Jiang Yu Shan (Hisham Al-Haroun) has lived 30 years in Taiwan practicing Kung Fu and Qigong. He is most notably known for being the master of the monkey style but he is also a master in Tai Chi, Bagua Zhang, Wing Chun, Xin Yi Ba and Wu Zhu Quan.
    Jiang is a 33rd generation Shaolin disciple and has been nominated 9th Dan (or “Duan”) in Chinese Kung Fu. In addition, he comes from a wrestling family and is well-rehearsed in other martial arts such as catch wrestling (he has a good relationship with the notorious CACC Snake Pit in Japan).
    Not only that, Jiang also worked as a special forces (CMC.SCC) drill instructor for over 10 years teaching hand to hand combat, tactical raid, entry team tactics, knife fighting and hostage rescue to Taiwanese special ops. Before that he was an army paratrooper in the German military where he got his initial military education.
    Due to his respected status in Taiwan’s society and his high expertise in self-defence, he has served as a bodyguard for several Taiwanese presidents and presidential candidates. A foreigner working as a body guard for a president is extremely rare and unheard of in almost any country in the world.
    To test his martial arts skills and proficiency in practice, Jiang has competed in various kickboxing, Sanda, MMA and Karate competitions, winning 7 gold medals. His biggest victory was winning the All Japan Karate MMA competition 2016 in Tokyo, Japan at the age of 45.
    Jiang has 40 years of training in Kung Fu and has operated as a respected teacher since he was in his twenties. Now, he is a grandmaster who comes from very rare and pure lineages of Kung Fu and Qigong. This is why his teachings are not only very unique but also more effective than many of the commercial forms of Qigong or Kung Fu you see today.
    It’s our privilege and honour to showcase his skills to the broader audience. Enjoy!

    Never has there been such a striking contrast between Eastern and Western culture. Every 3 or so minutes during this post, UA-cam kept interrupting with another of its inane advertisements, because they have placed such a huge value on earning as much money as they can - unless you use your limited funds due the COVID crisis and pay them a monthly special fee not to do that. I was trying not to swear whenever that happened, and then it would go back to the quiet serenity of the Master and what really matters in life.

      @@Vahvafitness The thing is from his fights, I dont see the monkey kung fu techniques or moves being applied in the competitions and from my research of MMA rules, there not any restriction of breaking arms and I saw 1 video of him fighting 10 years ago and he fought like any normal MMA fighter. Also since you're the one teaching us, I think that you should pressure test and spar with someone the martial art first and what you learned. Like I feel weird when you are already teaching the martial art without even trying or applying it to even a sparring match. Pls show us sparring of you, maybe even Jiang Yu Shan coaching you while you spar so that we the critics will trust you in your teachings. Since, he practiced a lot of martials arts, military training and what, maybe that in his fights, he didn't do any monkey kung fu but did the other martial arts and military training that he received because I really didnt see any monkey kung fu when I saw the video 10 years ago of him fighting, it made me skeptical.

    • @Vahvafitness
      @Vahvafitness  3 роки тому +13

      @@salumtummundi9462 You don't know what the monkey kung fu looks like, it's not that Beijing Opera Wushu that mimics the monkey movements. His body is Monkey Kung Fu. There are monkey forms where you stay very low on the ground, do you think the purpose is to fight like that? The purpose is to strengthen and stretch the legs. Harden bone is monkey kung fu and Shaolin too, and very easy to utilize in fights. He has used monkey attacks in his fights, but the reality is that there is not always much difference between a head kick of any style. The big differences are in the methods of strengthening/hardening the body, fighting and training mindset and details like using your fingers and different parts of the hands for strikes.
      The thing about fighting is that everyone needs to find and develop their own way of fighting. Different martial arts merely give you the tools to thrive in fighting but you alone need to learn how to fight. Inside the sport of boxing there are dozens of different styles... and lots of individual styles. Many methods and techniques of monkey kung fu work very well for the art of fighting, especially when you don't have gloves, but you are not supposed to move the same way you move in the forms when you fight because the forms are not for that purpose and you alone need to learn how to fight.

      What you see nowadays in mainland china and what is portrayed as shaolin kung fu is not a martial art anymore, that is true. The martial arts were illegal for a long time and a lot of the practitioners had to hide and flee. Shaolin Temple used to be kind of a library for martial arts, before it got burned down by the goverment. Modern Wushsu is well conditioned acrobatics andthe most common and practiced Tai Chi got simplified to a point where it is just exercise. Doesn't mean the other stuff doesn't exist anymore, but it is sure hard to come by.
      Why would he be able to train the Taiwanese military, if he was a fraud? Do you really think they wouldn't test what they buy?
