This was my first bike. I installed a titanium akrapovic exhaust. I still have the bike till this day. Engine is reliable and sound good. Drive it more then my tuono v4 1100
I got the decel injector cut disabled with my flash, and the engine braking is a night and day difference. Was so jerky stock and is 10x better without it. Still has some engine braking, but doesn’t jerk you forward as soon as you let off
The 07 is such a fun bike...I just bought a xsr900 and I've been thinking about teaching my wife on the 07 as well but I have the same concerns about the torque in first and second gear.
Owned 2 fz07s. So much fun! I have an 09 now, put some cash into and use it at the track as well. Definitely miss the 07 just a fun bike to cruise around on and have a ton of fun on without doing mind numbing speeds
I have a 2022 mt-07 and absolutely love it. Makes for nice twisty back roads riding and long trips plus it is comfortable. Im eventually going to flash and change exhaust
I agree , the mt 07 is hard for a first timer, I learned on a mt 07 and it was terrifying in the parking lot because of how torquey it is. That and the weight while being new stunted my learning. Which is why I bought a ninja 400, even though I started to get used to my friends mt07. The ninja 400 was just overall more manageable and wasn’t scary for me. Thus I was able to learn a lot better when I wasn’t in a state of fear

looking foward to a full review bro, i test rode one and did NOT like it went with a gsxr750 instead needed the tight precision to feel safe, mt 07 felt loose n cheap to me but it keeps perking my interest soo would like to know your thoughts on it
Just picked up a fz-07 Saturday, already slid out 2 days later, thinking I could handle the big boy turns, the bike is okayish, gotta put new plastics on and replace the left foot rest. I was wearing full gear, gotta replace the helmet and pants. Other wise I put about 200miles on it and love it so far. Edit- the old owner put a titanium exhaust on it and the pops it makes are amazing.
Funny;' I bought a Sur Ron. That was my introduction to riding legally on the street. Then I got my license and a FZ-07. It's super stock and I love it. Definitely need to tune it and give it some exhaust. Stock FZ-07's have a weird issue with the fuel mapping where it's hard to get on the gas smoothly (goes from off, to suddenly turning on when rolling on throttle). This bike does everything other than off-road.
So cool! I ride a MT-07 2017 in the same colors and I love it, bro. It's funny cuz when I bought it I rode a CB1000R in the same day and I felt that the way the 07 hits with the tork is stronger than the CB. Anyways, I wouldn't recommend teaching anyone with this bike because if you pool the throatle too fast, you gonna wheelie and fall for sure. Good content, bro
Just picked up a 23 MT 07 as a daily as I was fed up first gear commuting on the Tuono Factory, fun but painful lol the MT is actually super comfy and fun for city riding.
Great trade and yes flat footed is a safe feeling. If your liter bikes are tall, can you lower them at all? I know bikes have height adjustments but on a sport bike would that change the balance? Safe riding
I've been looking at first bikes and was almost content with 300cc-500cc for great MPG but I know I'll want a little more power for long term and not having to upgrade to another bike. I like the CB650R for the inline 4 but too pricey, FZ/MT-07 is still one of the top on my list, but lately, I'm liking the Trident 660. That triple sounds so nice to me even on the stock exhaust. I also like that you can change it to "rain" mode and it'd be slightly more beginner friendly. Still have my options open when I do plan to buy a bike.
Hey adobo, where did you get that motorcycle hitch carrier? Saw it in one of your videos a while back, cant find it, and now I see it and was hoping you could tell me!
My wife decided to learn to ride, we just got her a 2023 Honda Rebel 500 SE with 1 mile. She said that she didn't know how to even take the cover off! Gotta get a nice day that we're both off to get started.
🤣 Too used to seeing Zack courts on daily rider @revzilla and when you mentioned you'd like to back it up in a parking spot I was totally expecting the wrong thing 🤣🤣🤣
i have an mt03, same bike but just smaller displacement. I'm 6'3 and feel good on it. just did an oil change on it and have around 3000 miles. mt/fz 07's are a different breed lol.
Yeah man, I don't know what's with yamaha's fueling but I find first and second gears quite choppy as well. I think the gearing is quite tall for such a short accelerator twist. I have this issue at low speeds or low rpms or may be a heavier fly wheel might work idk
Lol my MT-07 2018 has the FTECU quickshifter and it's buttery. Something tells me the last owner had the trigger RPM set too low. You can get a harness for like $200 and check it out

I have Fenrir bar ends on my 18 MT07 and I can see perfectly fine. Only thing is you have to look down slightly, but they’re far enough out my arms only cover about 5% of the mirror. When I bought it there were aftermarket normal mounted mirrors and my arms blocked about half the mirrors, so it’s an improvement imo, but never tried the actual stock ones.
i ride a 790 Duke and the engine breaking and torque is the same. its a lot to handle for sure. ive got a couple buddies that wanna start riding but i'd be scared to let them try it.
Send me that quick shifter my 2015 needs it 😂 But if you’re gonna keep it most brands make it so you can adjust the timing of them with an app or data cable
i dont think ive ever heard of someone using an fz07 to teach someone how to ride. the torque is a little intimidating haha keeping the front wheel on the ground is pretty nice when youre learning 😂
First thing i did on mine was change the throttle. The MT07 doesn't really have this problem but the older FZ07s have REALLY twitchy stock throttles. I swapped to a motion pro tube and smooth as butta. you can also flash out the engine breaking entirely
There is alot of reviews out there. But basicly its has softer suspension for more comfy ride. And it has alot of torque you dont need to be afraid of that, everything in the throttle and you get used to it. Its really Nice and fun bike to ride. I bought it second time now and i love it. Oo and its really manuverable in slow speeds, feels like a 125cc atleast for me.
Got a quick shift on my 07 I got told to not quick shift from 1st to 2nd… apparently it’s not good for it 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️.. doesn’t make sense to me as a quick shift is meant for it
Tbh, ngl not a fan of the crossplane doubles or triples or 4 cylinders. Like u said they sound like harleys. I like the sound of a high revving motor that smooth not choppy. People say they like it cuz it different sound vs the typical flatplane crank which most bikes have and therefore most sports bike sound very similar but thats what sports bikes are known for.
