If you want to see our Willys Wagon win the Onx build challenge, vote here:
www.onxmaps.com/offroad/app/build-challenge#build-vote
Can we vote without having an on x account?
What about calling it: Willifordy
Since it's got Willy's, Ford, and Chevy parts . . .
@@jeepin1985 You use to be able to vote with the free account but looks like they took that away and have to be a elite or premium account member. Wish really sucks because a lot of us have no use for that. Just another way ON X and other are screw some people.
@@jeepin1985 Not anymore, it seems. I used to be able to, but now they want $$ to vote. I'm out.
I can't get to the Vote page... just a place to download the App... and I do have a membership
The Ratlander. And if things get shaking and rattling around in there, you can change it to the Rattlelander. 😂😂😂
Ya Beat me to it! lol
@@diegopo3635 same
Don’t forget that Chad is half the team so as great as Ratlander is that doesn’t include Chad.
The Mormon Mover?
Chad's Fabulous Ratlander - Or Chad's Fab Ratlander for short!!!! 🤣
Don’t leave the show Shawn ,. You are one of the reasons I watch ,., you add to the show’s appeal
Yeah me too
Paul do what ever it takes to keep Shaun in your shop if it building his own rigs
Scouts head Popping up😂
Sure is nice to see Sean back. I hope it's for more than a day or two. He adds a lot to the show.
We need more of Shawn, he adds great balance and humor to the videos.
You could name it "Willard" after that King Rat from that old movie from the 70's.
LOL! Thats a good one.
This.
Nice to see Shawn back helping
Awesome to see Shawn, exemplifies western ethos, quiet guy who just gets things done and doesnt talk alot. That whole cowboy thing. He needs a nice black cowboy hat in my opinion, Paul is definitely a backwards ball cap... Shawn is a black cowboy hat.
And Jace wears his up high like he has a pointy head.
Just wanna say Jase is doin an amazing job helping and manning the camera. I always said that Hunter added a lot to the videos by making the comments and asking the questions that us viewers would ask if you could hear us, and Jase is already good at that
Jace has a great commentary and sense of humor behind the camera. Nicely done
Nothing like a little Sean magic to improve the "Vibe"
I think having Jace on cameraman duties is working out well. Keeping the atmosphere light and fun. I laughed a lot.
Good to see Sean back in the shop. Great entertainment.
Hunter is more missed than he realizes! He did one heck of a job filming. Never realized all the angles and shots he was responsible for until he left. Still my favorite youtube channel though!
Where did Hunter go?I have been busy and haven’t watched in a while.
@@cress1974 i believe college or a trade school.
I am guessing Scout is either Border collie or Australian shepherd or a mix. However, you should not shave either breed. They have an undercoat that helps regulate their body temp. After shaving, their fur may not grow back in the same, either making cold weather much harder on the animal. I made the mistake with my border collie, and luckily, his fur came back in the way it should. I bet if you touch him his body feels abnormally warm.
I agree, my Aussie with her thick double coat stays cooler in the heat and warmer in the cold than my Pit who has a very short coat and no undercoat.
I was thinking the same, they have that undercoat for temp regulation, definitely should shave them like that
Paul it's real good seeing Shawn at fab rats HQ. He is a good guy. The willy's. The Wonka. Just a thought.
So glad to see Sean!!! He is the introvert to Paul’s extrovert!!!!😊
That's the truth that I think too, Sean needs to stick around!
It is nice to see Sean there again. He's going to be a good extra pair of hands to get that motor in the Willys. Anxious to see how it looks when you get done with it.
That trans, mount was pure genius. I told the wife that I get some awesome ideas from Paul and the crew. Now if Inwas thirty years younger and could weld like Paul I could get something done. Oh yeah and a garage!😅
Good to see Sean wrenching in the shop.
Like that Willys...
When I first start watching your channel a couple of years ago, I was wondering why Jace never in the shop. Since Shaun and Hunter is gone we been seeing more of him. He does have a lot of skills to show off in the shop. Great to see him working with dad. But his big brother have been missing a lot in the videos.
They're kids/young adults that have their own lives outside of UA-cam & that's all people need to know.
Landon has another job and comes in after work
Jace is in school which just might be a little more important. 🤏
Call it Bruce, like from finding Nemo. The thing looks like a shark from the front
Thought he was supposed to be working in the shop full time now @@loraleecox2599
Name the Willie. Nelson!
Willie Nelson 🍻🤙🏻
I'm thinking Uncle Willys with Mr Nelson in mind!
Jee Willykers
Whet Willy
Best one so far 👍😄@@ryandoyle4344
Thanks Paul, you got Sean to come and help. Your boy is not only learning from you but even Sean. Looking good 👍 Thanks for sharing 👍 😀
I will say it again! This is my favorite FabRats build so far!!
Jace is doing an excellent job behind the camera, love the player by play and off hand sarcastic comments…😂
The name of the Onyx build shall be Big Willys. Sad I missed you guys when I stopped by while you were on vacation. Turns out we took our vacations at the exact same time. But I did manage to get a shirt, and meet Sean and Hunter and grandma Lolli.
Or maybe wet Willy or slick Willy.
Whet Willy
@@TheBloatedPony'slick Willy' is not recommended . It brings connotations of a former, impeached president, who "...did not have sexual relations with That woman.". I don't think that aligns with the Cox family's beliefs.
@@billbillinger2491 You must be referring to Dementia Don.
He says the EXACT same thing. AND impeach 3 times. Funny, huh.
"The party of family values": the biggest faaking joke known to man.
@@UberLummoxthat's the only thing the left is really good at...projecting the flaws and acts of their people like pudding brain Joe. Only one with Dementia is him. Only reason they impeached DJT is for what Brandon did firing the prosecutor investigating Burisma to help his addict son.
Jace and his cameraman comments are hilarious. Paul needs to double Jaces pay!! 😆😆
Yeah let him have seconds
Wait a minute now, Michelle.
Paul gets his hair cut at home but the dogs get to go to the doggie salon ? ! ? 😯
Somehow that just doesn't seem right. 🤔😏😂
When I was growing up my first 4 wheel was a 1956 Willy's wagon. Had a lot of fun. I was 16 yrs old.
Live in Salcha Alaska
now. Keep it up with the Awesome Builds
Thank You!😊
Name it the “Fabin’ Wagon” since Fabrats and Chads Fab are the ones building it!
You could name it paul's little willie.. 😅😅
Willy make it
That's a little short 😮
I like that you are sticking to the budget. Yes the LS is an over used motor on UA-cam, but it works so darn well in so many applications...
That Wagon is awesome looking. Once you're done the Onyx challenge you should put a little more into it. It's a keeper.
Great video. Good to see Shawn. We've missed him. Jase is doing great! Very funny.
Nice work. Nice to see Shawn helping!
Possibly your coolest build so far. Right there with the off road wrecker.
I'm a big fan of the tri-5.
AWESOME TO SEE SEAN IN THE VIDEO, HE'S JUST A GOOD GUY!
The Fablander
I like that. Good idea.
Great name
Ratlander
I’ve always loved those old jeeps. I love what you’re doing to it.
That's good progress, great team effort. Plenty of clearance where it's needed makes life a whole lot easier.
I can only 2nd the motion on the Diablo blades. I've used one in my skill saw 20 years, I have a metal blade for the skill saw that ate 1/4" for 20 feet without a hiccup, and then bought some for my Sawzall and was not disappointed either. One blade helped me cut up a trailer home frame and all the hanger tabs, before I had to get a new one. They know what they are doing for sure.
I came across those Diablo blades years ago, probably 12 years ago, used them on lots of different projects and have never been disappointed. They last a very long time.
They do make pretty solid blades. I’ve got a couple for my circular saw as well, and put one on an old table saw I still use. For the price, they are hard to argue with…
Yep I don’t buy any other blades other than Diablo for metal. HF good for balsa wood and other softwood. Oh yea they can also cut blocks of cheese.😊
Hey Paul, that 'Burban has a decent rear end in it. It's made for GM by Eaton Industries as the 'MLocker' and the order code on the build sheet inside the glovebox is "G80". It's got a semi-locker pal!! Once there's a wheel speed difference of 100 RPM or greater (left-to-right) then the opposite wheel gets power transferred to it - so it's a 'almost' posi-track locker differential. By the way, that thing is Built Ford Tough - with Chevy Stuff! Hahahaha!!
Us in the Off Road community refer to the G80 as the Gov Bomb. They have a tendency of grenading when they lock up with bigger tires. Plus the Super Duty axle he already has in the rear is way stronger then the rear axle in that Suburban. If the suburban had an 8.1L then I'd say use the FF 14 Bolt all day every day. But the 10 Bolt in the back of that Suburban is very meh esp when used with bigger tires.
@@TyphoidSnaily Great info and thanks! I'll remember this for sure!
@@BigHeinen no problem. The 10 Bolt rear in those 1/2 Ton Suburbans and Trucks are good in Street cars though. The 9.5" Semi Float 14 Bolt rear is a great axle for drag cars that want stronger than an 8.8 but don't have Ford 9" money lol
Love the way this Old Willy Wagon is coming together and the LS will be awesome! Lots of work getting to this point , but hey its starting to work with Paul and Sean using their experience and knowledge. Love the puppies getting their hair cut video especially when Michelle called Scout's name and he popped his head up over the seat to say WHAT? Lol! Grandma Lolly stopping by checking on the boys. Sean is going to miss her when he's gone! Good video!
That’s awesome cut the drill bit so it fits- think i would have just drilled from underneath the frame upwards. That’s so funny dogs go to the hairdresser Paul goes to the house for a trim. Glad to see the golden child helping out in the shop more.
All hail, King Willy… the Rock Ox from onyx
Build coming along nicely.... Was happy to see Sean on the build today!!
loved the try at getting a jerky sponser, next time maybe say their name. 😝 gotta say it, jace is killin it as cameraman. twin turbos in its future? you got the room!
With all the changes "Willy Nilly" seems appropriate.
Good seeing Shawn! You guys are a good team.
I was going to give you a name, but I saw someone else suggested "Rat-lander". I think that one rings all the bells and is unbeatable!
Grandma lollipop is firecracker!
Paul ask one of your tool truck guys for transmission slip yoke plugs. They come as a set. No need to drain the pan and no more mess leaking from the tail shaft. 15:31 the Will-e-Lander
Or just throw an old slip yoke in your tool box to save on kitty litter.
Michelle!!! Thanks for sharing some of what you do. ❤
Yes! I second this too. I get so sick of the haters and trolls. I love seeing bits of the family side of this channel along with the recovery and shop side. It keeps things interesting and relatable 😊
Hey guys!! Enjoy watching the show with my husband!! How about naming the Jeep Willys for the onyx challenge, "Fab's Rat Wagon" or "Fab's Rat Willys" ❤
It's good to see Michelle on this video today!
Yes the ( Rat Wagon )
Hey Paul love your videos and all your builds I'm a fan watching you guys sins the golden nugget build and the latest never missed one of your videos. I hope one day to come visit you guys..💪 greetings from Suriname 🙋
Being a Ford Guy, over the last few Videos, I recall 2 good things that Paul have said he likes, The Ford 9" and the super duty frame. I think he is coming around to the blue oval.
😂😂😂 not even
Never 😂
Don't hold your breath.
Bring Sean back. He has skills, personality and character. I miss him☹️
He's an awesome welder mechanic, fab guy, I think he's a Big asset to the Fabrats crew.
Willey Maykitt! And his wife Betty Woant.
Lol
Thank you Paul , Sean and son for the update on the Rat Willy or Willy Rat !
Great job guys. Thank you 😊
Name it “Almost Free.” Almost Free Willies.
Has Shawn got his you tube channel up and going yet don't want to miss it not leaving fab rats enjoy watching all of y'all uncle Merlin to thanks Paul you have got me hook on LS motors🙏👍👏💪
The "FABLANDER" !
I’m glad you’re not just saying screw or with the budget and going all out. You’re gonna win this fair and square!! 19:53
This build is great, you guys have out done yourselves in the planning and execution so far. Overland Willis for the win.
What is the ratio of vehicles dismantled to vehicles built 3:1, 5:1, 10:1... 🤔
Way more than that, it took 4 different trucks to build the tow truck.
Name it one eyed Willy
Yo can't you take time and help Ben out . He's rolling around in the gravel trying to fix his truck???? Wish the two channels could work together.. Paul and Ben were a good team.
Yes but what, they're three hours apart. That's quite a distance.
I didn't even know Ben had a channel! What's it called?
@@keithplumley2054b&m garage if i remember correctly
The name for the onx build Adventure Willie !
How about Wheelin Willy! That would fit right. You all rock my favorite UA-cam channel. When I was a young boy, my dad’s friend had one. Painted orang with white upholstery with canary yellow trim. Had the jersey cans on the front fenders just in front of the doors. We would take that thing from phoenix to pine top Arizona all the time to his cabin. His son and I helped him build the cabin. It took two years to complete. Good memories this build has brought to surface. Thanks again
I love the longer videos, I love the Willys Wagon even more. Careful you might fall in love with it, and that'll be your daily wheeler. :D
Keep up with the good work love watching you on UA-cam God bless
I'm liking the look of this jeep as much as I love the FJ you built! They're gunna look amazing wheeling together.
Glad to see Shawn back. and yes 2 step and side cut outs great idea. Thanks for the grind guys.
As a dad that tries to hand down what I know, it always awesome watching your channel.
Fine job gentlemen, wow that thing is gonna be cool. Good to see Shawn back. Thanks for the video guy's 👋
Definetly a super cool build!! Can't wait to see it don! Makes me want to build one, but with the diesel!!! Jace is doing an awesome job behind the camera!!
That is a clean low milage LS takeout! Also, Jace is the best cameraman with his witty comments!
Call it Willy Tucker ...
if you know you know ...
Thanks for sharing 🇨🇦
I'm enjoying watching this Willy's build, I'm learning along the way. I have a Willy's panel I'm doing a Frame swap on and have a tilt nose front clip im figuring
Built Ford tough and made reliable with Chevy performance package. Seems like a perfect bullet proof "on X rig" that little Willy should be a reliable and dependable version of its former self. What a cool build.
Paul it's good to see you in the new shop now really looks very nice inside lets just keep it that way okay thanks again Charles later on now you hear
Dog's blessings upon "William the Conqueror"!!
Y'all do great work, keep it up😎👍🏼
Lovin the Willys build. Cant wait to see how it turns out.
When I first started to build my Jeep I was so afraid of messing something up but after watching you guys and doing a lot of upgrades and changes It is amazing how far my confidence has come! thanks for all the great information and amazing content over the years! Keep up the good work.
11:22 I looked away for a second, when I looked back I thought they were gonna hit a goat or something. (Bug on the window.) 😂
Your pet grooming part, Michelle was very cute and the puppies responded nicely
With a grill like that, the over-lander should be called Tooth Decay!!!
Was planning on stopping to see you guys in Cedar City the 13th but plans changed. You have a very beautiful setting for your compound. We was in a rush to get to Provo on the 12th when we passed your place on our way from Arizona to Provo for a funeral
That old Willy's wagon should really come alive when it's done! Great job, Paul and crew! Jase is starting to be a right hand man, and Sean really needs to stay! I know, I know, Sean wants to start his own channel, but shucks, he is such a great addition to Paul's team!
I’d name er Sugar Mag from the song Sugar Magnolia that references the Jeep Willys . Good seeing Sean!
Good job guys looking forward to seeing the next episode
The Onyx build is looking pretty solid
Great work on the videos. I have been watching a long time .thanks
That was cute how you called Scout and he popped up for a cameo. For the Willys, either "Moby" or "Willys the Whale". The LS is a great choice. It's a better small block Chevy than a small block Chevy. Plus, Chad can tune it up to perfection. Grandma Lolly is a peach! You guys do some nice work!
Gráni, is a popular name for white/grey horses. It has always brought good fortune and a safe ride for the riders of those horses.
Impressive burnout,,, Robby's, I mean Demri's "Gi-Gi" ain't got nothing on you,,,, Ok, it does have pink smoke😂
Sean, Shaun, or Shawn, it's cool to see you back, even if it's just for this video.
I know you have mentioned that it is gonna be tough to sleep in the Willy’s, could you build a cheap trailer that can fit a few supplies and a rooftop tent? Throw some old off-road tires on it and you are good to go. There are some cool, simple overlanding trailers like this out there.
The Ratlander sounds like a perfect name. Love the channel keep up the motivation.
