There is a huuuge difference between 500k an 3 Million. If you count those situations where people don’t even shoot their gun to defend themselves as a live saving act you also have to count those situations where people try to kill others but failed as a live taking act as a result of the US-law system. Just think about all the deaths, the drug gangs, gang crime (kidnapping, blackmail (for example protection Money)) which would reduce massively by making firearms illegal. Additionally to counter his argument you have to say that a lot of those situations where people defend themselves and save their own lives by using a gun would not have happened if the attackers were not been able to purchase a gun by their own. Just compare the statistics of shooting victims in the US with for example European countries. That many people die just because of this law is a FACT.

The best firearm training lesson came from my grandpa when he said, "Remember Butch, once you pull the trigger you cannot bring that shot back, ever." That was 1969 and it still is with me.
I grew up in a family that has always been pro 2nd amendment. When my dad started me out it was with a BB gun and he'd make me practice and handle it like any firearm. I've never been nonchalant with my own weapons and it's thanks to the way they were introduced to me. Educating people about safe gun handling and to respect that power is the best gun control.
@@FernandoMartinez-pv1id Hah! Yes, who was the comedian who said something like, "when you go to buy a gun, hand it to your wife/girlfriend and if she is strong enough to rack it, buy a different gun!" Lol
That salesman (at 12:53) wasn't telling the truth. Everything on that background check application (name, address, drivers license number, firearm name & serial number, etc) goes directly to the FBI, which is kept on file (the equivalent of a federal registry). Another copy often goes to the state (look at the bottom of the form). They know who we are.
The FBI destroys the RECORD after 30 days. It is usually electronic, not paper. The only records the FBI keeps forever are arrest records reported by state/local/federal jurisdictions. They do not keep disposition of arrest records. They do not keep records unless you specifically request what is called a UPIN. This is usually needed if your name is similar to someone else, like say your father, and you have the same name. I used to get delayed until I got a UPIN and then a CCW PERMIT. None of the paperwork from the federal form 4473 goes to the state. You must fill out other paperwork if your state requires registration. As far as serial number, the background check does not require a model or s/n and is written in after the background check comes back as PROCEED. Then the store keeps the 4473 in their files showing the transfer for when the BATFE audits their records. They also keep a log book of transfers into and out of their possession. Hope this helps educate someone better.
MrVercettti89 .. That's why gun-control advocates want a perpetual gun registry - a ongoing record of every gun owned, purchased, sold, or transferred. For those thinking of reporting guns stolen, some are even promoting the idea of making the loss of a firearm a criminal offense. The underpinning of our civil rights (the 2nd) is ever eroding.
MrVercettti89.... Actually, they only know you filled out a background questionnaire, for either a handgun, long gun, or "other firearm". They don't know if you actually purchased one or not. That's the BATFE's job to figure out, by going to the transfer log for the form which they are investigating a DENY result. This would normally occur if your background came back as PROCEED and a firearm was transferred, then within 30 days, the ATF obtained further information that leads them to issue a DENY status. Then your door gets kicked in and your weapons confiscated. This would also happen if you were issued a DELAY status, then you purchased your item after the 3 day waiting period and subsequently your background came back as DENY. Those are the only cases I have heard of where the feds came in and took someone's firearms. With that said, a person will know if they have done something that could lead to a DENY status. (Those are the 13 conditions which you must answer in the questionnaire) In which case, sell your guns before they come take them, because the courts will take a very long time to return them if you are cleared of whatever you are accused.
I think it's purely ignorance. In general, as humans we are incapable of knowing everything, so we defer to experts for answer's and "truth". In this polarized country, if you're left leaning, they tell you that guns are bad and laws will make it better. Sadly this isn't the only topic that the polarization affects, talk to your standard right leaning citizen about climate change, and you will hear bits about al gore or how the earth always goes through climate change. Point being is, many people are closed minded, because they adhere to the "truth" that their specific group subscribes to. The only solution is to not form an opinion, until you've done non-biased research.
Believe it or not, most people are like them. I'm a liberal gun nut, and I've had these conversations with dozens of people. I've taken lots of my liberal friends to the range, and several of them now own handguns and rifles. The politicians are the problem, because they know all of this stuff and knowingly deceive. Unfortunately politicians on both sides are like this, and as much as I hate extreme gun control measures, I have other political issues that I prioritize when I vote.
@@shidoarido it was with me. I took great pains to make sure that my children understood that what they saw on the news or learned from a teacher might not be factual, and that they should always make sure that they had good info before making a decision. My daughter has been shooting since she was about 12. At around 14 I gave her a Springfield 1911 that she kept under her bed until age 21 when I formally gave it to her for a birthday present. I’ve done the same with my wife’s friends. After the session, they all went out and decided to buy firearms. They absolutely loved it, especially after having understood the facts and having had some simple training. They no longer had fear, but felt grateful and empowered to be able to have a Right to protect themselves and their families with a firearm, if they desired. It was a great day.
You took the time to show them how to use each firearm and what to do. Most people think they know how, but don't. You gave them a positive experience and showed them the steps. Good for you.

I really appreciated how you were able to take these ladies from talking about guns, to safety in using and handling them, to actually shooting them safely, to the actual process of purchasing one. I feel that anyone that doesn’t know about the whole process but would like to vote on this topic should at least see it from start to finish like this. lil over 10 years ago the DNR were coming in to my high school and teaching hunters Ed and you were able to be certified in class IDK if they are still doing it but they should be!!
I've heard firearm courses where part of high school curriculum up until the 70' or 80'. Definitely something that should be brought back. We have all these kinds of awareness/education programs offered in high school: sex ed, drivers ed, D.A.R.E, etc. and yet nothing about proper firearm training or anything about the consequences of shooting someone. If you grow in the Midwest or rural areas, where hunting is common, you are usually already taught proper firearm training from your parents. But if you grow up in the city & suburbs, your first experience with firearms is usually movies or video games, which are unrealistic. I think that is why we have a lot of school mass shooting. Lack of respect for the damage they are capable of doing by our youth.
Absolutely right. We should be using Public money to train high school kids on the proper use of firearms. It would dramatically alter gun safety in a positive way across the country.
I've been an alt-media guy for years now and it still amazes me that a 20 minute UA-cam video published by a late-night comedian is 1000 times more informative than a month's worth of 24/7 CNN coverage.
Crowder has a distinct advantage in that regard. He's actually trying to prevent the spread of misinformation and disseminate verifiable facts. CNN has no such intentions.
Yup. A 9mm can generally disable a person with a center mass shot. He likely used the .22 to dispatch the injured with shots to the head. A .223 rifle is no doubt more deadly, however 9mm is plenty deadly. Even if they banned AW's and high-capacity magazines, doing speed reloads with a 10 round magazine on a pistol is pretty easy. Mass shooters would just buy tactical vests and carry more magazines positioned for fast magazine changes. Then they'll try to ban semi-auto pistols probably....then followed by banning revolvers and pump shotguns (both of which can kill plenty of people quickly). We'll probably end up going back to only being able to have the black-powder muzzle loaders from the American War of Independence. And even then we'd probably see occasionally someone doing a mass shooting using multiple blackpowder pistols and a blunderbuss shotgun full of blackpowder and shot to do massive carnage. So then when they finally repeal the 2nd amendment....mass murderers will just make bombs made easily with household chemicals. You'd probably start seeing bans on private poultry production, and bans on collecting bat guano or any kind of manure.
These girls have the same mentality and vibes as how young people used to think and behave 25 - 30 years ago, which is so rare nowadays. Kudos to them!

France 0.347 per one million people 4. Macedonia 0.337 5. Albania 0.206 6. Slovakia 0.185 7. Switzerland 0.142 8. Finland 0.132 9. Belgium 0.128 10. 4 safety rules as taught at the USMCRD: 1st Rule: Treat every weapon as if it were loaded. 2nd Rule: Never point your weapon at anything you do not intend to shoot. 3rd Rule: Keep your finger straight and off the trigger until you're ready to fire. 4th Rule: Keep your weapon on safe until you intend to fire.
Proving how the firearm is the safest thing in the hands of the right people. Showing that we don't need "assault rifle" bans and the raiding of innocent gun owners but more personal background checks
Safety is a mechanical device that can fail. Finger off the trigger guarantees safe operation. The fourth rule I know is to know your target and what's beyond it.
You should now take those girls to the UK and show them what we go through for a gun. We do need a license, we need a steel cabinet, we need a visit from the Police to check the cabinet, we need passport photos signed by people who have known us for two years and a form around 5 pages long to fill out and at least a 3 month wait and then after that? We can't buy a handgun or centrefire self loading rifle at all. And yet we STILL have people in the UK wanting to ban guns.
@justin Having guns available to citizens doesn't make them want to shoot each other though. The issue in the US is one of culture. And statiscally mass shootings don't happen that often, nor are you more likely to die in the US from guns then you are to get hit by a car for example.
@Daniel Boone I don't know what you're talking about with "Ireland NRA." I think you might mistakenly be thinking of the PIRA - the Provisional Irish Republican Army. Steven should have explained to the girls that the reason the “long gun” is purchasable at 18 and the handgun at 21 was because of the ability to conceal it
My friend owns a gun that I would highly recommend. It’s called the SOCOM 16. Great gun, it’s a redesign of a former military rifle called the M1A, which is extremely similar to the M1 Garand. From what I remember the barrel is relatively short, and it shoots 7.62X51mm. It’s a bit pricey though.
If you're new I suggest a 22lr just to get used to the sport or if you want something with a bit more bang for your buck try looking into a 223 Remington
The political gun nut just looked up one of these 22lr pistols and one looks damn near like the Nintendo zapper lol. Something small with as minimal recoil as possible. Something I can concealed carry. That’s what I’m aiming for. I’d get a rifle for the home eventually
In the 90’s my high school had firearms safety classes using simple BB guns. Police would come in and explain the laws, and give hands on training. Helped everyone understand at a young age the responsibility and safety of handling.

Bought my first gun a month ago, took like 15 minutes to get approved and pay. I've always wanted one since I was young. I finally had extra cash to buy one, it was a christmas present for myself.
Save up some more cash and look online for gun ranges that teach classes for first-time gun owners then take a look at the more advanced classes that would apply to you and the firearm you purchased. Training is the key to get the best performance out of the firearm and yourself. It's the same as anything else you want to be good at, good training from good trainers then practice what you have been taught at least a couple of times a month minimum. The more you are able to practice the better you will become.

Hope this helps educate someone better.
so otherwords they know yur a gun owneer but not the quantity of guns

If they’re in college they may not have anywhere to store it, especially if they come from an anti-gun family. That’s what’s stopped me from getting guns in the past.
@TotallyNotLoki Since storage is important I can't judge them for it.
@@TotallyNotLoki that's a good point but for anybody else in that situation who doesnt know: a lot of gun ranges have storage lockers where you can store your firearm there. then when you go to the range your gun is there and you can go get it whenever you want. but she may have also just not wanted to take something for free depending how she was raised. it can be a point of pride to not take "hand-outs" for poor people who dont want to feel like a charity case or wealthy people who feel guilty taking anything from someone they dont know when they can buy it theirself.

*full auto glock*: am I a joke to you?
Yessir
The weapons used during the most deadly school shooting in history, were two pistols. A 9mm and a .22
Goofy gun lobby

"Assault Rifle 15" - I'm crying right now.
dude im like half their age and i cringed so hard
@Tasha Scott no and yes I dont think you know what a hyperbole is.
@Tasha Scott no..? You can clearly tell I was exaggerating and lets assume I wasn't and I really was 9. Why would you assume im a pewdiepie fan? I wouldn't go as far to say fan. I don't enjoy all his videos but I like him as a person. Also me being 9 would only strengthen my point cause it would mean me even as a 9 yr old would know that AR-15 doesn't stand for assault rifle 15. Jeez some people really claim to know everything about someone from a damn comment.
@Tasha Scott You made a joke I made a hyperbole you still don't know the difference smh
@Tasha Scott If you weren't so desperate to prove me wrong so wouldve moved on a long time ago

I love how crowder kneeled down to talk with them instead of over them, it makes people comfortable when they are seated when you get down or sit down with them
This was one of my all-time favorite Crowder vids! I love that you went through the whole process with these young ladies.
The sound of a shotgun being racked is the scariest thing any robber could ever hear
I had a bad childhood and ran as the infiltration kid that was put through the the window to unlock the doors. I would then unlock the door for the rest of the guys. I've never been caught but i remember vividly going through a window walking down the hall to the door then....shck shck.....and nope and I was laughed at for a week by the others because I booted to the window and just tackle dived through it to the lawn without trying to break my fall because a skinned knee was preferable to buckshot to torso in an accident
One would think the scariest sound for a robber, would be hearing "What are you doing in my house?" from Chuck Norris.
@@Eques_Umbra can not personally answer that never tried to rob Chuck Norris lmao
No, to say it with the words from Karl from Tactical Rifleman: The only warning that will scare them away is the sound of the guys head exploding next to him.
@Whicker Friesian No, that's not Hollywood. It just depends if you keep it chambered or not. A good argument for not keeping a home defence shotgun chambered is so that you can rack it as a warning. I personally keep mine unchambered.
The sheer amount of “I didn’t thinks” / “I didn’t knows” I heard speaks volumes for the whole debate. So many uneducated people decide they have a position on this issue and then try to tell us, the people that these laws affect how we can and can’t live our lives. It’s horrific. I’m glad you were able to expose these folks to a real experience and hopefully they are able to tell someone.
It's a massive problem with a lot of people. They just trust what the media and politicians say without actually checking to see if it's true. People are way too trusting of the government and media. They can't even fathom that the politicians they love so much would lie to them or that the news channels they've been watching for years would lie to them. I've had conversations with people who believed a lot of the lies and once I showed them the facts and told them not to trust me either but to go look for themselves their minds were changed and they were blown away that they could fall for so many lies. I've had these conversations about abortion, guns, the history of the Democratic party, and blm and a lot of people will not see the truth but there are people who's views just haven't been challenged in a way that lets them see the truth for themselves.
It's scary!!!!!

Its a great thing your doing for all of us in this community and cant thank you enough. Keep up the good work!
All colleges should have a gun safety course or some sort of gun education class.
like boxing, this used to be part of a standard middle school or high school curriculum...a generation or two ago, u know when the world was on fire....
Shooting sports used to be a thing in lower schools too. I'd like to see a return of them to all levels of school. Obviously you'd start the younger grades off with air rifles and such.
Think so too. It takes the fear and prevents from being manipulated by the media. This manipulation realy pisses me off. I live in Germany and a lot of ppl hwo doesn‘t know anything about Guns and Laws in the US and other Countries make fun of the retarded Americans that can‘t get their gun violence under control while driving their 3t cars at 200km/h and probably crash and kill a family or sth.
They should have it in elementary and up

I laughed at the “assault rifle 15” a bit, but can’t blame them being uneducated on the subject. A lot of this is drilled into my generations minds from social media. But I loved your approach man on teaching them. Wish people were more open minded, on both sides of the gun debate.
Even of their minds didnt change i can applaud them for at least looking into it and trying with an open mind.

Showing someone they are wrong is more powerful than telling someone they are wrong.
If you want to change someone’s mind you WILL NOT do so by arguing. Guidance is the way.
Unfortunately not everyone is willing to learn like them. I agree on this method but there are flaws.
Or saying their wrong without proof
Also anyone know of the call was made and they revisited this and she finally got her gun? I mean it’s been 2 years now
I'm pro-2nd amendment, but I don't have a gun (too young) nor have I ever gone to a gun range and taught myself (NYC) so this video was very enlightening even to myself whose already on the side of freedom.
AOkayT I'm being taken by my friend next week for the first time wish I could have gone with Crowder though
We need more young people such as yourself in the freedom movement. Good for you for being on the right side!
When you can, go on an off time (my favorite is Friday night). The staff at the range are super nice and will walk you through everything. I’ve seen them spend 45 minuets explaining how to safely handle and fire a pistol.
@AOkayT - Has the NRA's Eddie Eagle ever been to your school?
Most schools don't invite the 'NRA's Eddie Eagle' to schools anymore. A guy/gal that travels the nation's schools, to teach kids about weapons, how to handle them, gun safety, right/wrong, all of it. Same idea as McGruff the dog who "Takes a bite out of crime", teaching about how it's bad to be a criminal, and the "D.A.R.E" program which teaches kids about staying away from drugs . . . do these groups even travel elementary schools anymore?
No Eddie Eagle = entire generations of youth without any gun knowledge whatsoever.
. . .Except for the gun-hate "knowledge" spoon-fed by Leftist-Lunatics and the media of course.

4 safety rules as taught at the USMCRD:
1st Rule: Treat every weapon as if it were loaded.
2nd Rule: Never point your weapon at anything you do not intend to shoot.
3rd Rule: Keep your finger straight and off the trigger until you're ready to fire.
4th Rule: Keep your weapon on safe until you intend to fire.
4th rule only applies to some guns. Glocks do not have an external safety

And yet we STILL have people in the UK wanting to ban guns.
srspower and you have less mass shootings per 1000 people.
Can you please explain to me why Northern Ireland can have pistols but you in England cant ? Wasnt it Ireland NRA who commited the Troubles ?
@justin
Having guns available to citizens doesn't make them want to shoot each other though.
They were the most active republican paramilitary group during the Troubles, and they sought to end British rule over all of Ireland.
Note: Republican in this context does not equate to Republican in the United States.
Yet London has passed NYC in murders this years.. let's see if banning knives will finally do the trick lol
I bought a pistol 3 days after I turned 21 and not only is permitless carry legal in Vermont but in Louisiana where I live it is legal as well.
This video demonstrates why we need gun safety and education in school. One week devoted to education on this subject.
Mikey6048 fuk no baby

Scar Gun education used to be taught in school prior to the 80s.
They should bring it back. My Dad says he used to carry his shotgun right into school for shooting class afterwords...
Wes LaFever As a senior in high school Trap Shooting I carried my Mossberg shotgun right into school. Nobody cared. Nowadays having it 100 yards near a school would be a national tragedy.
This was awesome. The way you talked to them openly and kindly when they clearly had no idea about what they were talking about was the only reason you were able to start this conversation. And the result is two more people being knowledgeable and more pro gun. You're doing amazing things Crowder, with anyone else this conversation could have never happened.

This was cool crowder. Enjoyed it.

This is probably my favorite one of these videos. I’m watching this 5 years after this came out but hopefully these are two more law-abiding & responsible gun owners now who are able to defend themselves and the people they care about.
Congrats!!! If you want to learn how to use it, don't be afraid to ask any long time weapons owner. We are usually a very welcoming group who love to share our knowledge. If you run into some grumpy person that isn't approachable, you hit the statistics. Ask the next one. If you run into me I will be more than wiling to help.
