This is so Lame, you bought such an expensive AVR or Pre-Amp an you have to deal with this.

  • @truwarrior22
    @truwarrior22 3 роки тому +3

The serial is blacked out on the AVR. Does the AVR in the video have the revised HDMI board with the fixed 2.1 chipset? Does this 3 in 1 switch work fully/properly with AVRs which have the defective HDMI chip? Nice solution, but if my SR8015 with the defective HDMI 2.1 chipset doesn’t work proper with this, I’m not going to be happy.

So, is this the equivalent of DLC for audio hardware? Ship out a product with missing (purposely removed?) features and then nickle and dime your customers. Cool.
Anyways, since I own one of their crippled devices, and need to buy this switcher, where do I actually find it in the US?

So with this switcher, you don't need SPK618 HDMI adapter for 2020 Denon avr? Or do you need to use both?

I can't believe they are charging for this after screwing us for an entire year. We should all get new receivers. That's spk16 or whatever doesn't work, audio cuts out.
This should be free. VRR doesn't work. Atmos cuts out. Dolby vision at 120hz doesn't work.
Garbage. But "our engineers tested that and said it worked(over 12 months ago) so we can't help you with your pc not working even though that's the only reason you bought our device in the first place"
We should all be getting board swaps and we should have zero hdmi 2.0 inputs/outputs. Now I can't even sell this thing without these 2 ridiculous daisy chained mini avr-looking things attached to it just to get regular functionality.(provided this thing actually works, as no solution previously provided has)

i know there are cheaper switches out there but i have one for my my sons tv that does 4k60 that cost just under half the price of these, his switch gives him lines through the picture during black and dark scenes, even at half the price i would have expected it to work perfectly as it still wasnt cheap

I'm also wondering the same thing. I don't have a Denon Receiver let me go ahead and say that. I have a Full Bose Sounder system with two teeters and a sub. All through my eARC. My 2021 Samsung 55' QN90A has 1 HDMI 2.1 port. But I have an Apple TV 4K (2.1), PS5 (2.1) and an XBOX Series X (2.1). So I need 3 ports. My solution was a weird 2.1 splitter I found on amazon. It's honestly a 5/10 but I need another port. I'm wondering if their product could help me with that?

I still can’t get VRR to work thru the SR8015 to my Samsung Q8FN even with the fix box. Black flashing screens, else resolution error with fix box once VRR enable on Xbox. I also have to manually enable game mode on the TV unless I use zone 2… Xbox One X works fine when directly connect to the TV.

    • @Cblan1224

Right. Never buying from these people again. We could've saved a ton of money going with a previous year's option, and now we are left with these basic receivers that have zero resale. They promise a solution so we hang on to the avr, then they give us an adapter that makes VRR work a bit better and completely ruins audio, for me. I've heard various other complaints from others.
Audio cut outs with their adapter. VRR problems and stuttery nonsense without it, but you want me to pay $180 for more of this nonsense? Give it out for free and be grateful none of us have the patience for a lawsuit.
I would pay $180 for an entire hdmi 2.1 board swap(every hdmi signal), even though that's how these receivers should've come in the first place.
      There will always be issues.
This is a failed early adoption.
LG is the only company that got it right, not because they guessed right, but because they have engineers actively reproducing issues and offering solutions via firmware

@@Cblan1224 I just get different issues with the adapter box when trying to get VRR to work, but I have a Xbox One X, so technically I should even need it.. Waiting patiently to see if anything can be resolved with software updates. Opened a case with Marantz on Monday and no update from tier 2 yet. According to JDSmoothie on AVS, SU isn’t even aware of issues and encouraging owners to open up cases, so please do so!

@@truwarrior22 I know they aren't aware. I have opened tickets and SU has stopped responding to me. I have had MANY other people open cases with their adapter issues and they all blame the tv's edid which makes zero sense considering they are all different tvs and I can hack my edid and make it say whatever I want it to.
SU is unaware because SU chooses to be unaware, not because they haven't heard of the issues. I don't know a single person who has the adapter working properly. I have not heard of a single one that works, and many, many that do not.
