Sadly we have really unaccurate law about what home defense is. So using anything like rifle whatever caliber is turns into pretty doubtful opportunity of being charged in murder.
From what I understand, this round is meant for smoothbore guns. Gun laws require one to own a shotgun for 5 years prior to qualifying for a rifle license. So, impatient aficionados get a rifle with barrel modified so that it doesn't have rifling's (smoothbore). This in effect makes it a shotgun and compliant with law. Very fun and informative! I prefer knowing the velocity of the cartridge, I believe the energy of .366 TKM is comparable to 7.62x39. The US just getting 9x39 ammunition thanks to Wolf and Tula producing and exporting the cartridge, I'm wondering if the bolt for the .366 is the same for the 9, presumably it would be the same if it uses the same cases but necked out.
Unless TeKhriM start mass producing the rounds, its impossible to get in US. The Russian start adopting 223 and 308 because Tula/bear/Wolf start producing them in mass. If you want US to adopt 366 TKM, you need to flood market with those rounds.
I'm also wondering how ammo would perform out of a rifled barrel, if 1 in 14 or looser is better or if between 1 in 14-10 is better when using the 9.3x74r cartridge in comparison. I asked before but now I don't think that .366 sub-sonic would be better than the 9x39 cartridge. Not until adjustable gas blocks on AKs become standard.
@@saintsinningsword Adjustable gas block AK already standard. Never even heard of it.we not have that many calibers in russia as you guys have.
@@Gorgoth_siberianit’s a similar concept to 366 but to get around certain hunting regulations
So basically .300 black out but for 7.62 instead of 5.56 or 5.45
A russian 300BLK would be 9x39mm, this round is made only because of retarded gun laws its a "shotgun round" and therefor is esier getting for civilians then 7.62x39 5.45x39 and 223.
.366 tkm is like the russian version of a civilian .50 bmg
nope
its equal to 7.62 x 39
i also have 9.6 x 53
and 366 magnum, which is equal to 308
but all these rounds deliver more joules than its fully rifled "brothers"
What matters is that when you shoot the projectile fly off the front of the barrel.
You should be a voice actor in the next metro game
How are the magazines modified? could you use normal military magazines?
Yes, akm mags fit
Bullet has different geometry frontal edge of mag had to be enlarged
thank you for the info! this is exactly what I was looking for
I wish we could get that gere
sounds fun. I want one!
Great infromation, Thanks!
Thank you comrade!
The bullet is like a cross between a shotgun slug and pistol bullet and the barrel like a shotgun/rifle.
just nearly typical rifle round with crazy energy
half of barrel is smooth, 14cm of barrel is slow rifled.
@@Gorgoth_siberianThanks for the reply, the cartridge is not necked right?
@@nilsholgerson4958 np, and nope, its not
in tarkov this gun BLOWS
they just updated it... we'll see
I like it for scav hunting ;)
So this is the AK version of 300 blackout
the raw alpha energy in this video it is overwhelming
Its the russian equivalent of .458 Socom
Nope. It's a smoothbore 7.62x39.
Lando Calrissian nope.
@@acow9966 yup. Made for civvies to get around Russian rifled gun laws.
How does the .366 compare to somethingc like what the AS VAL shoots? From memory its 9X39 but I don't remember. I would think the straight neck shell would be better setup for magnum rounds. Are there +P rounds for it?
we are not in america. we not allowed to have ANYTHING close to mil grade ammo. we have soft point\core bullets, exactly these rounds are 9.3mm
it perfectly fits in as val mag. probably i`ll grind 1 val 20rnd mag to fit this AKM.
i rebuilt it, check later vids. after limitations about corona will end i `ll make a proper vid with shooting exact distances to check accuracy.
@@Gorgoth_siberian that mag conversion idea sounds awesome
isnt this a gun that shoots this ammo a shotgun. i heard that once
I also heard that Elvis Presley was alien, and came from mars.
dont believe in rumors.
i made video recently, regarding to exactly what you asked. ITS NOT SHOTGUN.
