      From what I understand, this round is meant for smoothbore guns. Gun laws require one to own a shotgun for 5 years prior to qualifying for a rifle license. So, impatient aficionados get a rifle with barrel modified so that it doesn't have rifling's (smoothbore). This in effect makes it a shotgun and compliant with law.
      Probably accurate out to 150 meters.

      @@tropickman As he said in the video. 366 TKM is smoothbore for about half of the rifle. The last half up to the muzzle is in fact rifled. But some countries recognize this as a smoothbore shotgun which is the only firearm you can own in Russia at first until 5 years of experience is passed.

      @Rae Gun yeah the AP variant of the ammunition. The FMJ and Geska aren't nearly as good. I have come to have a love/hate relationship with .366 AP ammo because sometimes it's really good and one taps armor from level 4 and down and sometimes I swear I shoot someone 10 times and they dont die lol. .366 is a strange ammo, not sure if the AP ammo is actually real because it's a homemade type of ammo and the whole point of the .366 is to not have civlians owning a rifle caliber like 7.62x39. Very fun and informative! I prefer knowing the velocity of the cartridge, I believe the energy of .366 TKM is comparable to 7.62x39. The US just getting 9x39 ammunition thanks to Wolf and Tula producing and exporting the cartridge, I'm wondering if the bolt for the .366 is the same for the 9, presumably it would be the same if it uses the same cases but necked out.

    • @wojtekepecki5774

      Bolt for .366 is the same as for 7.62x39, .366 tkm was designed to have similar specs as 7.62 at 100m, but with smoothbore barrel.

      Unless TeKhriM start mass producing the rounds, its impossible to get in US. The Russian start adopting 223 and 308 because Tula/bear/Wolf start producing them in mass. If you want US to adopt 366 TKM, you need to flood market with those rounds.

    • @saintsinningsword
      @saintsinningsword 4 роки тому +1

      I'm also wondering how ammo would perform out of a rifled barrel, if 1 in 14 or looser is better or if between 1 in 14-10 is better when using the 9.3x74r cartridge in comparison. I asked before but now I don't think that .366 sub-sonic would be better than the 9x39 cartridge. Not until adjustable gas blocks on AKs become standard.

    • @yulusleonard985
      @yulusleonard985 4 роки тому +2

      @@saintsinningsword Adjustable gas block AK already standard. You need to differentiate civilian and military market. military have no need for adjustable gas because they need to fire all kind of ammo that not available to civilian and more because berdan primer is harder to crack and need more "oomph" on the recoil to cock heavier hammer. Civilian will bitch about recoil so you can see them available to civilian market, not to mention left charging handle and better quality ammo.
      I don't think there will be rifled version of 366 since it will defeat the purpose of its existance, to bypass shot gun law while having reasonable accuracy up to 150m. Im more curious if 366 reach US, Magnum Research will create BFR chambered with this one.

    Are there fully rifled .366 TKM barrels available for people who can own rifles? Is illegal to have a gunsmith “finish” rifling the smooth part of the bore? Or is it pointless, either because you can own a 7.62x39 or because the additional rifling doesn’t offer an improvement?

      366tkm had only 140mm of oval rifling at the end of the barrel.
      366 magnum,9.6x53 ,9x22 altay has fully oval rifled barrel.

      Even if Russia was to export it, Russian arms, ammunition, and ammunition components were banned for import to the USA effective Sept. 7, 2021 by President Executive Order. Google, "Russian Ammo Ban" and you'll see. If we're really lucky, someone here might start making it, but that's very doubtful.

      A russian 300BLK would be 9x39mm, this round is made only because of retarded gun laws its a "shotgun round" and therefor is esier getting for civilians then 7.62x39 5.45x39 and 223.

      nope
      its equal to 7.62 x 39

      and 366 magnum, which is equal to 308
      but all these rounds deliver more joules than its fully rifled "brothers"

    How does the .366 compare to somethingc like what the AS VAL shoots? From memory its 9X39 but I don't remember. I would think the straight neck shell would be better setup for magnum rounds. Are there +P rounds for it?

    • @Gorgoth_siberian

      we are not in america. we not allowed to have ANYTHING close to mil grade ammo. we have soft point\core bullets, exactly these rounds are 9.3mm
      it perfectly fits in as val mag. probably i`ll grind 1 val 20rnd mag to fit this AKM.
      i rebuilt it, check later vids. after limitations about corona will end i `ll make a proper vid with shooting exact distances to check accuracy.
