I'm 7 mins in and I just want to say you are seriously underrated. This is so calming and everything about it is just great! You def deserve more attention for these!!
You have a very nice 4 runner. I see a lot camping videos and a lot of these guys also have Toyotas. I also own one and am a huge Toyota guy myself. When your in the middle of nowhere the last thing you want is to be stranded but you can always count on Yotas to take you home.
Fascinating video. I camped in Oregon national forest last year and it was amazing. From Colorado here and we got tons of great places for disperse camping.
A brotha You definitely have talent in the overlander culture. Your culinary skills are excellent and very sultry. Your video editing is perfect, checking out the build while the Orzo cooks down is genius. Great Job. Greetings from a fellow overlander in San Luis Obispo CA.
I took a photo with my wife in that exact same spot! We compared the trees to the ones in our photo. There was a dead tree standing when we were there!
Wow! Oregon’s outdoor scenery is just fascinating, such amazing views… It’s fun and exciting to camp with 4R while exploring the nearby places and trails… 👍🏻
Lovely video! Here a quick Observation: Aeropress... Put the plunger a few mil in and set it upside down :) No drips plus you are able to let the grounds steep a little bit; inkluding stirring. Then add the Lid with Filter... turn and press. I noticed a hugeeee difference in flavor. Love your content. keep it coming!
That opening scene with the mountain backdrop is breathtakingly beautiful. And I can’t imagine the amount of work shooting those scenes alone, plus the editing. Big beautiful country there, enjoy!
Thanks for the video Francis, I find these simplistic videos very calming and inviting. You have a really nice rig, I hope to be investing in a similar setup within a year. Cheers from Sean, Vancouver, BC
Great video Francis! Wish I could be out there with you.. awesome beautiful views! Takes me back when my Dad and I would go to the High Sierra’s in California!! Nothing like being outdoors! Keep rolling my friend! FYI… just put my deposit on my 4Runner TRD PRO ICE CAP… get rig you have there…
I know that spot quite well, Francis. It’s a good one. I grew up on this mountain, spent lots of my childhood there, and it’s a huge part of me. Dude, you absolutely crushed it on showing how beautiful it is in that intro. Well done, man. Makes me miss it.
Just stumbled on your channel! Excellent video! Im in an f150 trying to decide on future investment jeep or 4runner. Im leaning towards the toyota. Keep up the awesome content man
Love your content!! I think it’s so cool how you’re traveling and living out of your 4Runner. I was wondering if you’ll do like a Q&A or something similar on what that life looks like (laundry, social life, etc) because i want to know if i could do that someday
Definitely the best 4runner camping video ever. The view was incredible the cinematography was amazing and the food looked delicious. Great video. Thank you
Well put together video, love all the beautiful seanery and your talent for cooking. Just got back from a five day solo trip with my 2016 4runner trail, there is no other vehicle I would want to do overlandding in. She is my daily driver and overland vehicle, really nice setup you have, be safe out there.
Wow!!! Beautiful scenery, and delicious food. I just traded my camper van for a 4 Runner this week. I had, in the past, a Doctor here in Denver, who’s name is Francis Ngo. I am subscribed!!
My buddy and I used to do this same camping up in WA with the view of Rainier - Dark sky, all the bright stars were out, talking stories and drinking port until 3am. Man that was the best. I just recently moved down to Portland with my 4Runner and hoping to find the same kind of spots. This looks amazing my man!! Just found you and subscribed. You're videos are fun to watch, keep it up man!
Wow! Glad I happened by. Everything was great. Can't wait until I can do the same. I love the roof-top tent apparatus! Do you also sleepinside the 4runner at times?
Thank you for the great video. I’m in the process of getting a 4Runner and also moving to Oregon! Would you mind please sharing the route you took? I’d love to hit up some secluded backroads when we get there.
Sweet!! What a view to go to bed with and wake up to at your campsite. Mount Hood looks magnificent & spectacular! No imperfections in Earth's Eden that I can see. Just Mother nature working in perfect harmony and peace as she always has since the beginning of creation. Ah, and that dinner, buen provecho! I've never had, seen or knew about Orzo pasta. Definitely added to my list of new dinners to try. Always looking for new ways to add some new character and addition to plain ol' seasoned chicken breasts even though they are yummy. And with that view! Amazing!
I live in Portland and I have a FJ62. Was looking for cool places to drive around and stumbled on this awesome video. Can you DM me with the location? Not sure if that's a faux pas to ask?
Your videos are amazing. Love the drone shots. Please tell me how do you find these beautiful places to camp ! Are you in a national park ? Aren't there a lot of places that don't allow car / rooftop tent camping? Any advice is much appreciated ! How do you even find these trails !😅 New to all of this
No. Most national parks do not allow drone flying. I spent a lot of time driving around forest and service roads to find these camp spots. Any place that allows cars or has a designated fire ring usually allows rooftop tent camping. I also use iOverlander and GaiaGPS to find these trails.
