China has been well ahead to the rest of the world for ages. Created soy milk during the period 25 - 230 AD and seitan around 500 - 700 AD and soy sauce (a stable ingredient in east-asian cuisine) was even created B.C. I think it’s fair to say China should get the credit they deserve.

I love vegan chicken! I'm not vegan, and I used to love chicken, until my idiot brother started grossing me out by pointing out blood vessels in a chicken wing. 🤢 Luckily, my mom made a dish very similar to this all the time while I was growing up, and now I make it all the time. Nowadays I get my chicken fix with this, seitan, and oyster mushroom nuggets.

I'm like you too, except I don't like cheese, but I still eat byproducts (I'm eliminating them step by step right now). It's still a HUGE win for the environment and the animals.
Either way, thank you so much for not eating chicken anymore, you are awesome :D Keep up the good work and try cutting out the other stuff too as far as it's possible for you right now.

I made vegan "duck" with the tofu skin using 5 spice and plum sauce for our Christmas dinner. It's good but the fried yuba is really oily so add some salads and sides.

What if you wrap the lemon grass with seitan and wrap it with yuba? 🤔

Does anyone have a suggestion for an alternative to using lemongrass, or sugarcane, for the "bone"? Those items aren't readily available near me.

I would use a scallion / green onion instead of sugar cane etc and just eat the whole thing 😂😋

I thought it was going to be seitan wrapped in rice paper. I guess tofu skin can be used also for bacon replacement.

Thee Burger Dude made an awesome looking vegan Italian roast beef sandwich out of tofu skins. If you have any skins left, I'd be great if you could make it for Aria to try, too! 😋
