- AnTuTu version 10 has FINALLY arrived on iOS devices so I put the iPhone 14 Pro Max (A16 Bionic) up against the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra (SD8G2), RedMagic 8S Pro (SD8G2), OnePlus 11 (SD8G2), and Vivo X90 Pro (MTD9200) in AnTuTu's latest benchmark as well as Geekbench 5, Geekbench 6, and 3DMark Wild Life EXTREME. With all devices running on TSMC's 4nm Process, it's going to be a tough battle - Who do you think will come out on top?

All Phones are Set to the Exact SAME Brightness Level (Using a LUX Meter). If a phones display looks brighter or dimmer than another, it's due to my studio lighting or because that specific phone has dimmed it's screen to avoid overheating issues - Something the RedMagic seems to do more often than other devices...

the fact that the redmagic was the cheapest on the list is actually insane
As it's only focus is in performance. Not in other category, like camera, software etc.
@@nazmulhuda3262.well its a gaming phone, i dont think gamers gon be taking selfies
@stickks19 That's the reason why it's cheaper than the others. This video was focused on performance and efficiency.
well its useless in rl, no one is actually gonna play on a phone, even if u do its gonna be similar to these other phones but lack every other feature.
Everbody has his own life.. i would really love redmagic 8s pro instead of an iphone .. i had 13 for pubg mobile its was damn hot and started throtling like crazy ... If you have money but play games you can use iphone daily and redmagic as a gaming pocket console as it is able to do a lot for example having game on tv and play games via controller and else. Its sick what it can do in that small size, also iphone but it sucks when you want to have something "yours" you cant change its behavior (home screen for example cant move apps where you want them)
I think the red magic should've been kept a little above the table surface for the fan to work properly.
Wait you’re right. There was not much room for the fan to work properly. I think in a real life scenario where your phone is in your hands, it would’ve performed better
Truly professional comparo, very well executed tests, one if not the most comprehensiive and extensive side by sides, applied to phones that i am actually interested buying. Needless to say, your test will make or break my choice in selecting one of the best performing devices available on the global market today.
Keep up the good work and thank you ,Nick, for producing the very best cellphones reviews on you tube.
The only problem with the test is a bit misleading, because Samsung chikened out after they pissed into his pants, and not releasing a phone with the iPhone anymore, everyone lost the counting ability... (of course their marketing team wanted this, when they renamed and relocated the Note series) If you rename back the S23U and put back in the timeline, this phone release with the iPhone 15, not with the iPhone 14, or just go back 3 generations on each timeline, do you think the last Note, the Note 20 was only the competitor of the iPhone 11, regardless it's released with the iPhone 12?
❤brilliant, awesome, detailed review, always so well executed. Proud of you Nick
Great video now we need the tab s9 battery drain test and Again great video sir 👍
Hey nick! I know you don't normally read comments but may I suggest a little experiment for another similar video. These days we're just accustomed to saying that there are huge differences and gaps between the new generation of flagship phones compared to the older flagship or at least to the mid range ones but we/they never tested it head on physically, just head on compared the results. It would be really nice if in the future, if ever you're gonna make a similar video to this, make a special place and add a contestant for the midrange and possibly for the lower end devices just to see how far the gap is in actuality. Basically just treat it the same way as how you treat these flagships while testing them and I think it would be pretty cool to see how much better in terms of percentage a flagship phone can perform better against mid-low (or older flagship) devices aside from antutu scores.
Thank you for this comparison
The reason the red magics temp. was that way is because as soon as the phone kicks in performance mode, the fan does a great job by taking as much heat as possible out of the device so the cpu remains cool while the outter temperature might be warm!
Another amazing video, cheers
There is a glaring problem with this test. The 2 phones on the end benefit more from ambient temperatures while the 3 phones in the middle have the adjacent phones heat, playing a role in their pojected heat.
To do the test properly, each phone would be run in the same contolled environment at different times with the temp gage being displayed the entire time while they run through all the tests.
Then, you splice the videos together, showing the same start times and progress through the tests. This will show the real min/max heat scores in real time. Without interference from adjacent phones.
Otherwise, it was a reasonable comparison.
yeah that's not good espicailly for red magic 8 spro becouse it has a fan inside it
Exactly, I thought the same.
I feel like the phones on the outer edge have an advantage to temps as they losse more heat to the table conpared to the ones in the middle?
Redmagic 8 is the most attractive one.. I don't really care about the bechmark that much just know it still a beast but look at those design and screen! So clean, love it
Saaaame bro

Redmagic is insane
Nick your test is on point except placing the phones on the table and do the test while the phones lie on the table! Red Magic fan couldn't even perform because it couldn't "breathe" my guy! You just take out the fan out of the equation! 😂 😂 😂 😂
Could you make a video talking about raw video on android?(MotionCam Pro)
You should've added the Honor Magic 5 Pro to the list
S23 Ultra is the winner here, Apple scores is mostly came in Geekbench, and Geekbench is an apple bench so I don't think that's a good idea to use it as measurements in performance since even 8+ gen 1 in Xiaomi literally outperformed 14 pro max in a gaming test by a huge difference in fps.
Because iPhone never came with a good cooling system, if you put a fan on a IP14 Pro Max it will stand toe to toe even with the strongest Gaming Android phone at the moment. We clearly see the iPhone runs so smooth in AnTuTu which proved to us that the upcoming A17 Bionic is gonna be the best chipset of 2023-2024 and leave all Android chipset to the dust but with cooling fan with it of course if you count Gaming too. I'm currently using Xiaomi 13 but my friend's iPhone 13 Pro out performing me with both of us have fan stick to it in Genshin is making me so nervous if the A17 Bionic coming out in Sep or October.
@@kavinskynguyenit will cuz its the only one using 3nm. Android will catch up when theyre using 3nm too. Its more about the nm from tsmc than everything else.
...it simply has better CPU performance! You can be a fan of a brand without needing to create your own reality!
these benchmarks aren't comparable across platforms
@@niveZz-antutu is not, geekbench can be used for cpu. 3dmark is fine too, apple has the best cpu no doubt, SDgen2 has the best GPU. Just how it is, iphone lacking in cooling too, a16 is the worst and smallest upgrade chip apple has made, because they waited for 3nm. Sdgen2 is the best they made in a while. Will be fun to see what the A17 brings. Think it will be impressive
Does antutu benchmark run heating affect the battery? Actually I ran it twice mistakenly and my phone was heated so much. It's OnePlus 11. Please reply
I always run a benchmark when I wake up in the morning and I go to bathroom, it's the best time to enjoy it and ... much useful !
Contento de haber elegido el S23 Ultra, es el más equilibrado y con la mejor temperatura de todos.
Can you please do oppo find x6 pro camera test. I've heard it now support 4k 30 fps front cam after the latest update
Yeah that's right. It now has 4k 30. I wonder what Xiaomi is waiting for
The music is really rough when wearing headphones. The pulsing EDM tune keeps clashing with your voice, and I keep having to rewind to hear what you said.
In my opinion , redmagic won coz it is cheaper than all the other mobiles. Half the price as compared to iphone. It was competing with every other mobile despite having less price. Price/performance ratio is my scale to check if the devixe is good or not
It's a gaming phone with a cooler inside, what do you expect? 😂
@@edusmh7695 other brands cost u more than twice the price as compared to this gaming mobile, redmagic gives built in fan in half price as compared to other so-called high end mobiles. Can't they add something to cool their flagship mobiles so that they could maintain their performance? 😂
no ltpo might aswell go with the oneplus 11
Honestly the only thing that sucks is that it's vulnerable to water and dust I work manual labor so I'm still hard contemplating to get the new 8s pro plus or the iPhone. It's a hard one since I'm more into iOS but that red magic is tempting
The Red Magic beating those mainstream phones while being twice as affordable.
Ouch ouch 😅
Nice test❤❤❤

Samsung was now better in colling it is very optimized now
Love the OP 11 5g, went from having Sams for last 5 phones. Last Sam was S22 ultra bought OP 11 just recently and wow 20 minute charging and 48 hour battery are life changing.
Hi :) well the S23U is the 8GB RAM not 12GB Right? I think that is the case if it is the 256GB Version.
I've Samsung S23 Ultra, with 8 GB Ram + 256 GB Storage is the lowest spec you can buy. The highest 23 Ultra can offer is 12GB + 1 TB storage, plus it's expensive.
Got the oneplus 11 for only $675 and it beats them all at its price point. Good camera and performance.
Did you turn on "Alternate game performance management" on S23 Ultra ?
Probably not, but he also bought the lowest spec red magic 8 s pro and probably didn't put that on Diablo mode either... These test results are skewed imo...
Its just a performance test and the 8S won it clearly! The dimming was only in 3D-Mark noticeable and it affects the power consumption, not at all the scores... In longer throttling tests you d probably see a bigger advantage with the fan kicking in!
See the dimming will cool down the phone
@@TheEnthraller Nope it wont... The actual heating component is by far the SOC in this case! Dimming does also absolutely nothing to performance... The panel of Red Magic also doesnt really dimm: it has simply somewhat lower brightness (regular and peack) cause UPC and also gaming phones generally using "indoor" configurations!
Amazing performance 👀
my phone isn't even good enough to run that test because it doesn't meet the requirements
Diablo mode on RedMagic is best !!!
Bru do a fold phone benchmark comparison
y not add xiaomi??
Rad Magic is the King👑
Last rumor Qualcomm about to add 2 prime cores in Snapdragon 8gen3 but suddenly they cancel it and add extra performance cores instead.. don't know why, if they did it 8gen3 will have 2 prime cores just like Apple Bionic.
For now what I know is 8gen3 cpu will be 1+5+2 (1 prime, 5 performance, 2 efficiency)
8gen2 1+4+3
....its an optimization game with the size of cores, their number and their clocking under the limitations of power consumption and heating! Bionic can "afford" having 2 prime cores, as it has only 6 in total... Also they might get better performance with a single overclocked prime than with 2 moderately clocked (was partially the strategy of HiSilicon).
Wait the 8 gen 4 for the limit break
8 gen 3 will focus on improving efficiency that's why they changed from 2+4+2 to 1+5+2 but 8g4 will focus on a lot of power thanks to the new oryon cores and will come in 2+6 configuration supposedly surpassing Apple m2 and with an efficiency never seen before. yes, this generation what intrigues me the most is the mtk 9300 will come in 4(x4)+ 4(a720) I am intrigued to know how they will control the heat
@@rodrygocvs36 is mtk 9300 will come next year? That new configuration will be interesting.

To anyone saying that apple's cpu is faster , no it's not
The android phones appear slower because there is alot going on in the background, and that's slowing the cpu
But the iphone doesn't have much going on in the background

The redmagic 8 pro is a nice phone I tried it out but the audio sucked ballz the speakers are really low you have to max out the volume in order to hear it not only that but the speakers are not front facing. Even with headphones the volume was low which led me to return it for that reason.
it is not only about fan..even rog with cooler cannot beat redmagic
Genshin impact benchmark please!!😂😂
notice for gaming
multicore score hasn't vain in gaming
Why honor magic 5 pro not included?
RedMagic clearly won compared to price/performance ratio and you went with the 12Gb instead of the 16Gb
it's the best in it price
the ram is not the bottleneck tho. You need to launch multiple high end games at the same time to make use of that much ram. 12GB is more than enough and for 650 it's a steal compared to the S23 Ultra for 1200 or the iphone for probably 9999999
It only won if u only care abt performance, everything besides that is not even close to the rest
again, you can't compare IOS and geekbench scores, or are you gonna believe that android CPUs are better than Apple CPUs? lol not a chence
Even 8+ gen 1 in Xiaomi outperformed 14 pro max in a gaming test
@@yazouruaim694That's GPU not CPU related
No android CPU beat the iPhone in the test. Only the GPU did.
All in all, the scoring mechanisms for the iOS version and the Android version of Antutu Benchmark are significantly different, and therefore the test results of the two versions are not directly comparable.
To put it simply, the test results of Antutu benchmark only support the comparison within the same system based on the same major version and not support cross-version or cross-platform comparison.

@@ibraheem1224that’s also why apps refresh every second on iPhone but not on android right? Some cpu iPhone has lmao. I can make a list of wierd crap my iPhone 13 does vs my other androids and s23 ultra
being the hottest on idle could mean that it has better thermals because it's dissipating the heat better.
Yep, that's exactly what I thought too. You can have room temperature on the phone meanwhile the Chipset on the inside is dying with all the trapped heat. The redmagic has a pretty big vapor chamber so no wonder why the outside gets warm
Since when S23 Ultra is $999? It has never been retailing as low, the lowest i've seen was $1155 and that's on sale, for 12/256
It went for less than 900 during prime day sale

Apple bench is uncomparable too
@@nightthemoon8481The iPhone GPU was made early 2021 and was in the A15 and A16. Sadly the A16 updated GPU was delayed due to a ray tracing issue. So the new GPU in the A17 will be two years better and should easily smash the benchmarks, assuming that thermals can be subdued, which has been an issue of late.
What is 100% is that CPU in iPhones are leaps ahead in latent performance and even the SD8G3 is unlikely to surpass the iPhone 14Pros. So CPU stuff will be much faster as these benchmarks showed. The SD8G4 will hopefully close the gap, but that is 18 months away. That will have the new core designs and be based on TSMC 3nm N3E. We might reach parity then.
