I was thinking hard 4 days ago to decide which one to go between 2 phones. And at the end of the day, I picked galaxy S23 for the features and ecosystems.
iPhones are just feature phones, call text facetime etc Android phones are more like a computer. having an actual file manager and being able to run what u want not be closed down to apples walled garden. its about tech freedom
They can't afford to have an ecosystem. Apple does hardware, software, OS, and services. Samsung's agreement with Google is that they get OS updates yearly in exchange for Google doing the service side of things. The services are actually double the gross margin, so a much more profitable business. Because Samsung never invested the money and time to develop their own advanced OS they're stuck with this rather poor deal. Google makes out like bandits. This is one of the big things that Steve Jobs implemented at Apple. Apple controls all of the strategic pieces in their ecosystem. Most people know Steve was a great product person, but far more important is Steve was a genius businessman.
Just wished they’d include the damn charging brick with the device. For the asking price, that should be mandatory. Super Fast Charging is utterly useless if you don’t have a charger for it. I know, they expect consumers to have one from a previous device. What about those getting this device for the first time. At least make it an option when ordering.
I get you are an Android fan…but, being neutral, apple’s prior year CPU is on par with the latest S23 CPU. I was hoping for a fair comparison. People are fans of one or the other…hard to find unbiased reviews.
For the last few years I've had both Apple and Samsung Flagships side by side and tbh they're both very good in their own right. My only issue with Apple has been that unsightly notch and my issue with Samsung has been how long it takes to get updates 🙄🙄
Due to newer versions being released, samsung is looking for something to improve such as security and other features so the updates take long...Also they preserve the newer versions because they want to make use of the new android update as much as possible. Apple on the other hand has full control over their chip, that's why most of the old iphones such as iphone 8 plus is still getting an update.
Two other important things that nobody tells you about android phones is how fast this phones decline in performance compared with ios phones, and devalue even more faster. No recomended in high inflation countrys
Just switched from my S10+ 1Tb to a regular S23 256gb, the storage is a pain but overall there is no switch back, the smaller size, the haptic and 120hz is so goo'd, but the low storage on smaller sized flagship phone is ridiculous
I've been around enough iPhones. Liked the phones look and the way the system works. I just prefer unlimited customization and the extra things I can do, plus better camera operation. I've wanted to get iPhone for sometime but always stick to Samsung cause they have everything I ask for except no SD card expansion. But iPhone doesn't have that either. Rather be satisfied then wish for more with a iPhone.
Not so fast. I have an iPhone 14plus my first iPhone, which I love and my Samsung S22 Ultra and that's the one that I use the most. It's just smartphones. Thats it. No reason to mistreat another human being for using a different smartphone brand. That doesn't make any sense that's not having understanding of life. Please let's respect our fellow human beings, that's the right thing to do.
I’m an iPhone user and I’d admit, the galaxy’s are my 2nd favorite kind of phone. If something ever happened to iPhones or Apple, id definitely switch to back to samsung. (I was a samsung user 9 years ago then switched to Apple) Also not to mention, the iPhone 14 has 6 meters of water resistance while the galaxy S23 only has 1.5
I don’t understand their rants, i mean, samsung made innovations possible, and apple perfected it, yet, apple can’t make it perfect, if samsung hadn’t invented it in the first place, and samsung makes new inventions, because they were pressured by the fact that apple can make their inventions better. It’s a mutually beneficial loops. These two different brands are clearly targeting different target users, samsung phones are for people who wants to try new things, and apple products are for people who wants certainty in their phones for longetivity. So these arguments about comparing both brands, are nonsensical and irrelevant.
Apple want people to get the Pro model...simple really. Samsung listened to the fans. The Snapdragon 8 gen 2 for Galaxy, made for Sammy phones or at least the one on these three models is. The vanilla variant is more pocketable too for those people who dislike big phones. I wouldn't worry about Sammy...they sell many phones especially in Europe because they do offer a vast array of phones.

Will be holding off from getting another Samsung in the near future until I see an improvement in their QC.
s22 ultra has s3.1 as well. Its true that they should've probably put the newer one. But its not a big deal. For me, a disturbing thing is 8gb of ram on s23 ultra. They did it with s22 ultra first, 8/128gb and now they continue with s23 ultra. I feel like noticing the 8gb of ram is easier than noticing 2-3 seconds of difference in ufs 3.1 vs 4.0. Not only its a flagship and all samsung android competitors are at 12gb of ram, but also if you buy a phone you probably gonna use it for a couple of years. How can you buy a flagship phone with 8gb of ram. My s10+ had 8 gb of ram in 2019. Its just sad. And if in s22 ultra it sucked, but at least you had an option to skip it by ordering a 256gb variant, and the price difference was not that big. S23 ultra offers only 256gb and 512 gb variants (im not taking into account 1to option, dunno who buys it). So this way samsung kinda forces you to buy the more expensive 512gb version, because 8gb of ram is clearly not enough for a flagship phone.
The camera of s23 is far worse than iphone 14,you are saying 50 mpx stuf blah blah blah Take photos and compare,%90 of the times you will prefer iphone, end of discussion.
I just got s23 this morning, I don't know if I made the right choice. I mean it's screen is very nice compared to my iPhone 12 and the battery is good but Samsung Android isn't anywhere near as refined as Apple. I'm confused, if only the 14 pro wasn't so heavy
@Sam. the s23 is a little better than my wife's iphone 12 but the 12 is 2.5 years old and the battery is at 83% (meaning the capacity has degraded a bit). Love the s23 screen and size and its snappy but the ui and icons are hard to live with. The issue I'm having is the iphone 14 pro regular is too heavy and the normal 14 Is a bit dated, screen wouldn't be as nice as Samsung but it may be my only choice. Any ideas? I'm not rich enough to change my phone so often
I was an avid iphone user in the day , jailbreaking and customizing, while android was maturing I swapped to a Nexus , then I was hooked .. the s23 brings so much to the table and a little mentioned feature dex is so good for me anf my needs. They killed it this year
If its no problem for you to use Android instead of iOS, you can choose the S23 instead of the iPhone 14Pro. Same 6.1 inch size, nearly the same resolution cameras. In my opinion there is no Pro feature in the iPhone that’s justified the more in money.
The day when iPhones will have pop-up rear cameras or a slide-down screen cutout for the selfie cameras, proper UI customisation similar to Android launchers, at least 30W of charging speed (wired and/or wireless), free and legal auto-call recording and the ability to install 3rd party apps like a few games that are not on the PlayStore, I'll consider looking at them.
Ive read that android also wants to restrict installing 3rd party apps outside of google play in next version, but I dont know if it will happen or not
I will say that Apples 2 cameras is showing Samsungs 3 camera setup that numbers don’t mean anything. Every review I’ve seen and sample are showing Apple is still superior in night mode and more details in all shots. Which sucks because I came so close to swapping to the s23 this year.
I have the iPhone 14, I’ll admit that telescopic zoom certainly tempts me on that S23. Just wish Apple could put one on the regular iPhone models next time. I mean the pro max is apparently set to get a “periscope zoom lens” so why not a normal telescopic zoom lens on the normal models?
you have to actually look at both offerings as what they are. they are not the flagship for all the functionalities etc but instead a contract promotional tactic. no one will ever buy an iPhone 14/max for what they are but rather some perk for joining certain carriers. the name "iphone" just sounds better and some need to stay in that ecosystem anyways. if anyone has the money to seriously consider investing in tech devices they'll just go for the ultra for both sides.
The only things I like about iPhone is that they don't have a lagging shutter and they have a good product presentation. Asides from that, Samsung outshines apple in every other category imo.
Every Apple user knows that the software experience is not good compared to Android, and you literally need to google to do anything on the phone. But no one admits that - because, hey it's Apple.
@Rennie Ash Isn't that a surprise? But my point was that the options and settings are not difficult to understand in Android. For example, I don't have to figure out the back button for each app when I am using it. Or don't have to enter my card details to download free Apps from store. Or even enable App download, you have to enable a switch in the settings in iOS. I am all for privacy, but this was torture to me 😅.

The iPhone 3, 4, and 5 were really good phones for there time, but Samsung phones are so much better, once you switch you will be kicking yourself for not switching sooner. @Facts Arena ok cool, my J4 Plus phone has never had any replacements and never been refurbished, it's worn out and well looked after, it's all still working ok
I was thinking hard 4 days ago to decide which one to go between 2 phones. And at the end of the day, I picked galaxy S23 for the features and ecosystems.

Samsung's new flagships are underrated on US market as usual.....i would love to say to Samsung to work more on ecosystem segment.
@@bruxi78230 there no cap one ui is far better & useful than ios 😂

For the last few years I've had both Apple and Samsung Flagships side by side and tbh they're both very good in their own right. My only issue with Apple has been that unsightly notch and my issue with Samsung has been how long it takes to get updates 🙄🙄
monthly Update count is to slow?....Okey....
@Martin Gänserich Well it's not "to" slow its too slow in my region
Due to newer versions being released, samsung is looking for something to improve such as security and other features so the updates take long...Also they preserve the newer versions because they want to make use of the new android update as much as possible. Apple on the other hand has full control over their chip, that's why most of the old iphones such as iphone 8 plus is still getting an update.

Switched from Apple to the S23+ after 10 years with iPhones. Apples price point slammed the door on me considering their current line.
Just Ordered Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus here in the UK.
Great Video
I love my black Galaxy S23 (256 GB). Battery lasts forever & it veryyy quick. Bought when it first came out, worth every penny. Wont have to upgrade for another 5-8 yrs

That ufs 3.1 storage on base s23 is criminal for that price !
s22 ultra has s3.1 as well.

In my opinion there is no Pro feature in the iPhone that’s justified the more in money.
The day when iPhones will have pop-up rear cameras or a slide-down screen cutout for the selfie cameras, proper UI customisation similar to Android launchers, at least 30W of charging speed (wired and/or wireless), free and legal auto-call recording and the ability to install 3rd party apps like a few games that are not on the PlayStore, I'll consider looking at them.

you have to actually look at both offerings as what they are. they are not the flagship for all the functionalities etc but instead a contract promotional tactic. no one will ever buy an iPhone 14/max for what they are but rather some perk for joining certain carriers. the name "iphone" just sounds better and some need to stay in that ecosystem anyways. if anyone has the money to seriously consider investing in tech devices they'll just go for the ultra for both sides.
