c4-c6 done here, i have numbness in my arms, legs, chest face. When its really acting up i get off balance and even vertigo. I told this to the Dr and he looked at me like i was crazy I know its from the surgery, Im 37 and now have atrophy in my shoulders and arms. Im also weaker. Praying for you and others that suffer from this. To me its as bad as an actual disease.
I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I’m scheduled for May 30th for fusion. Thank you for putting your experience out there. Wishing you the very best!
I am so sorry you’re going through this. I hope they can find a way to ease your pain without surgery. I’ve been following you for awhile and you have helped me so much by sharing your story. I’m also doing everything I can to avoid another surgery. Fingers crossed for you and thanks so much for sharing.
Hi Kim. I'm sorry to hear that your going through this. I had 3 lever done Feb 17th of this year. I'm still recuperating with some pain in the shoulder blades, and stiffness in the neck. Taking one day at a time. I thank God I had it done. I had a very good neurologist. I'm praying that everything will work out for you, and that yiu get the surgery you need. Your going to be just fine. Continue to stay positive. Your videos helped me get through my surgery. Keep us posted on your progress. Take care 🙏
Ugggg. I’ve been watching your videos for years. I have cervical stenosis at 3 levels. C4-C7. I had a right side foraminotomy 18 months ago on C6 and C7. I have the same surgery now scheduled for the left side on February 13th. Luckily my discs are ok but the bones spurs are crushing my nerves. After this surgery the only thing left will be a 3 level fusion. You are so strong and if you don’t mind me saying, incredibly beautiful. I know your pain and nobody should have to go through it. I hope you find some relief. I know how dark thoughts get from this as I’m going on 4 years of it myself. Thanks for sharing your journey. It helps to know I’m not alone.
Thank you! and yes! the pain and weirdness and how its "hidden" -- so many ppl just don't get it and the variability of it.. I really hope you've been getting some relief. .. any updates? Im almost 4 years post op and things are still "off"
@@KimWright No updates yet. Surgery is on this coming Tuesday. So hopefully it will be successful. The right side was. Still, the neck will never be the same. It’s so frustrating
I just had ACDF C4-7 just like you did on 4/26. I began watching your videos prior to the surgery & had the same symptoms as you too. I am saddened to see you go through this again. I love the fact that you published the full ups & downs. Stay strong & Good luck
Thanks for updating and sharing. Best wishes, thoughts and prayers. I've had multiple surgeries over the years and know the mental strain it takes. Stay positive even though it's sometimes difficult. 🌞💐
Hang in there. had C4 to C6 ACDF surgery in September of last year. Surgeon used titanium. First of all I don’t regret having the surgery. I am retired and played a lot of golf before. Got the okay to play about 2 months ago. Last week the got to be too much. Had to quit after 2 holes. Am having a MRI and a MRA done. Have suffered from headaches all my life. Thus the MRA. I know this is long. It helps to have a good support group. All my golf friends have been encouraging. So, take care Kim. Hope everything goes smoothly from now on. 0:03
Sorry to hear you have to go through all this, again, Kim. It's impressive how you are holding on and still manage to look fresh, strong and optimistic. I wish you well. Hope things get better soon in a way that does not include another major surgery.
Oh my goodness. I'm so sorry I'll tell you after my 3 disk being done with fusion and 21. I have pain Dean in my lower back and they saw some bulging disk And now I have major carpal tunnel and the 1st 3 fingers up my right hand and I have to get that fixed. I can't take it anymore. It's so painful. I pray in jesus name that I fix this for you
Wow Kim...im having C3-6 in 3 weeks at Steadman Clinic in Vail. 1994 C6-7. Failed. I smoke cigs. Terrible numbness in fingers & toes. Now my calves & hands...only 4 months after 1st symptoms. Good luck to you my acdf friend.
Sorry for your set back i had acdf c3 c7 18 months ago I'm in bad pain everyday next week ill see a different doctor about a pain stimulator mot sure about that anymore gone thru that good luck keep us posted 👍
Sending love & light& virtual hugs hun🫂 thankyou 4 sharing ur journey with us, I've been in pain for yrs& fobbed off with fybromyalgia diagnosis🙄 now recently hada mri& they want2 do an op in next few weeks& I'm scared as alone with it all🧘♀️🌈🌸 thinking of you🫂
Hi Kim, sorry you are back in the hospital with pain. I sent a comment to you I think it was your last video and how it sounds like your going to need to have the same as me on fusing the back. No it's not fun but it might help more. It helped me but in the last few months it's been a little sore here and there. And as for shaving, or even looking down at my shirt to see if I dropped something on it, can't. Haven't been able since the first surgery. Just lay down in the tub and do it blindly as all. I can say I know it sucks but it's the only way you're gonna keep from hurting your neck anymore. Hope everything gets better soon. Keep up the videos please
Hi Kim, I wish you well, what a coincidence because I went to emergency on Saturday as well because of pain in between my shoulders. I sincerely hope that they can help you. I had C5-C7 and it is a process to go through.❤
I feel terrible for you. They wanted to do a fusion 16 years ago but I opted out and finally had a ACDR C3-4 almost one year ago and so far so good but I'm still in excruciating pain and the rest of my spine, cervical thoracic and lumbar looks really ugly. They put the M6 state of the art artificial disc in my cervical spine and so far I'm very pleased with it but I'm still in horrible pain, anyway I wish you all the best, you're way too young to be going through this. 🌴🌴
I am six weeks post-Anterior Discectomy and Cervical Fusion surgery and still experiencing pain that radiates from the base of my neck down into my left arm and fingers. I am unsure what to do next. My surgeon refused to prescribe pain medication, and the muscle relaxant with Tylenol I have been taking provides no relief.
It might still be early on for the nerve pain to dissipate but I do hope it does. It's insane they wont help you be comfortable. For nerve pain though, I found pain meds didnt help... But Lyrica really does at times
Hi Kim, sorry that you had to get to this point again! To get help! Your absolutely right...no one talks about the effect on sex life afterwards. Maybe if they did, we wouldn't get the surgery! 😂 Thank you for mentioning that your legs get effected too. Whenever I've mentioned this, I just get looked at blankly or they want to do another lumbar mri 🙄 when I know it's coming from my neck! I wish you all the best and that you get some rest and peace soon 😊
Hi C4 - C7 club today been 3 months of my surgery and my back neck pain is my only concern what should I expect? Just cbd gummies 10mg to relieve but the pain appears back again. How you feel?
