Never imagined that these videos would be the start of a multi million dollar business. ANYBODY can do it and I want to show you how in my Free 1 Hour Training: lostcreatoracademy.com/freetraining
I would choose the last one! that villa is amazing, my boyfriend and I are going to Bali in november for undetermined time and are also looking for a place to stay longer! Now really busy to get a visa and its really confusing for us. Especially the question if you whether or not can make money online when living in Bali. Goodluck! And maybe see ya in Bali
Lost LeBlanc, I think you must choose Villa 4.. I am Balinese and stay in Kuta, I wiill visiting your villa to help you cleaning your room, your pool, make some food, Hahahaha.. Nice vlog by the way..
To all viewers, let me help you give a better understanding to this video. I'm a Balinese, this villas do not reflect our culture. Balinese houses does not have any pools nor big glass door at their room. Our house are very large, we separate sections of our house. We separate our kitchen with its own space, rooms with its space, and we have a section for our shrines. In terms of price, yes it is true what Christian said. Those property are usually owned by local dealers or even sometimes owned by local individuals. That is why the price are 100+ million rupiah. If it was owned by a national property company it would be around 200 - 400 million for a rent. Now Christian was looking at properties around Canggu. Canggu is an area specifically for foreign property seekers. This doesn't mean you cant seek in another area. It means if you are new to the market, most likely you will be pointed to Canggu first. My advice on planning to live there. Firstly don't, its already dense with foreigners and locals are force to move out, because people keep forcing locals to sell their property. Second, if you still want to seek property, search where it will not harm the local. Third, find a place that is not owned by big companies. This will help you get better deal and won't burn your wallet. Any Indonesian reading this comment, help our future neighbor to understand local culture and local neighborhood.
Udrasena, great comment overall, but I don't get the complaining all around the world from locals when their island/city/town becomes popular. If you owned a property, which nobody cared about twenty years ago and it was worth 50k, now it's worth 200k without you doing any work. What is there to complain about and how is anyone forcing anyone to sell. People are voluntarily selling their properties for 5x, 10x, 50x what they could've sold them for not so long ago. Then after they make money, their heirs would complain in 10 years how they can't afford to live here anymore and how it's their God given right to have affordable property in exactly this city/on this island, because they had family members there or this is where they grew up. The truth is, the influx of tourists opens opportunities aplenty. If you're smart and adaptable enough, you can figure something out and make the most out of this. If you're not, you resort to complaining to the local government about tourists ruining your place, because you didn't work smart and/or hard enough.
Pink suitcase, I'm actually not a fan of Christian as he seems to be barely scratching the surface from the few vlogs I've watched long time ago and didn't find him very insightful or his stories interesting. However, how is he "ebegging" and why do you write this irrelevant off-topic comment? He's creating content that 372 000 people enjoyed enough to subscribe and tune in every now and then. You're not paying for any of the content. Leeches like you always use adblock, so he's not getting any ad revenue from you either. Even if he was, he'd probably earn less than a cent from you personally, if you watch a few of his videos in their entirety. The value exchange on UA-cam is far from balanced. An individual viewer receives a lot more than an individual creator gets from the viewer in return. Plenty of people in the world need help? How many of them are you helping and in what ways? Let me guess - none! How do you sleep at night? Probably like a zombie, wasting your life away, not realizing that the end of your uneventful existence is right around the corner. You can only gather enough strength to complain on the internet about how someone is ebegging, so you can distract yourself from how much your life sucks. Ignorance is bliss. Wake up, kid! The clock's ticking!
That's the consequence of becoming a tourist hotspot in Indonesia where regulation on properties aren't really regulated. In Manado, the property market is also skyrocketting and i even began to complain about it too. I'm not sure why but a large amount of people whom "have extra money" from other islands just bought houses/lands as their investments here and they even don't live or cultivate here awaiting the price to increase, i believe this also happens in Bali where 200 millions Indonesians including me are eligible to buy a parcel of land there. Tbh though, they don't force locals to leave or sell, but they give a lucrative options for locals to sell their properties high above the actual market price. That's why a lot of big coastal lands here are mostly sold by the indigenous people, great price for the sellers but quite reasonable to the buyers. The demand is just high, so follows up the price.
hate to break it to you, as Balinese. Those villas are not our style. It reflected nothing out of our culture. Canggu is a place specifically chosen by our government to store most foreigner who seek local properties. Thats why those prices are quite high. Still 100 million for a year rent is crazy bargain. In Jakarta you need at least 500 million for a rent.
I live in the North of Denpasar, like 30 km from Canggu. I was there last week to visit my Family. Canggu is like a compound of villas. You can visit local markets and all that. But mostly you will encounter villas along the road.
A home base is such an awesome idea, having a place to go back to is sometimes very comforting for me. And also Bali is pretty central for travelling too!
Dude you make me want to travel so bad, love how you give your viewers so much intel on the islands and how cheap things are in certain countries. Keep up the awesome work!
I think Villa 4 is the one, when you do move out there it will good to have it as a base to travel everywhere from rather than always going back to a hotel or villa. Will also be more cost effective!!
I'm so happy for you! Bali has become another home away from home for you and it's so cool that you'll be moving there. I think villa 4 is the way to go but good luck 👏🏾
Hi Matt. I am so happy to know that a Canadian is deciding to set a home base in Bali. I used to visit Bali about 3 x a year since 1980 to 2008 ( Was living in SEA). It is value for money to rent a house in Bali for that much as compare to Vancouver BC where i live now. Moreover my friend in Coal harbour has a few hosuses for rent in Bali. If you or your friend need one You can contact him.
Whoa my fave youtuber is moving to Bali! I look forward to hanging out with you guys! I also work in villa agency in Bali, most of the agency/middleman I know do not crank the price of the villa up cause they get 10% commission from the owner. But it is wise to check with few agency/middleman. Good luck on finding you new home!
Great idea! Would be cool to have a base in Asia and pretty sure you will be able to rent out your place to fans and even sell them packages / tours. Villa 4 seemed like the best overall one, option 3 was good but there was something about that pool that just wasn't right! But keep on looking until you really feel you are sure it fits within your budget. Best of luck 😊
Awesome!!! So good 😁🙌 it's like watching house hunters 😉 but vlogger style in my favorite country🌴🌅🍍 🇮🇩 Epic!! Good luck on the search, would love to have a Bali home base one day 👌
Loved this video Christian. I know for a fact that I'm not wanting to get stuck in cold Norway for the rest of my life 🤣 I liked the villa with the high ceilings
Looks you are going to have heaps of fun finding the right place the only thing I would check for is ceiling fans they are such a boom and great to dry the clothes under during the main wet season stay safe looking forward to what you get
i dig it, gonna be awesome having a crib there! I was wondering, are you going to ever do South America???? there are many places there that fit your tropical vibes :D
As a Realtor in Las Vegas, # 3 is ok, with high ceilings and open floor plan, decorating the shelves would be grand..except for the small pool. #4 is ok too..master bdrm leading to the patio and swimming pool and backyard you can grow some nice plants or even fruit trees.
Canggu is just amazing, been there 3 times in the last 12 months. I've been thinking about getting a place there as well, the only downside for me personally is the traffic. The connection to the airport, the traffic is completly jammed all day, every day. How do you thake that into concideration?
Bro, I just want to start with saying thank you so much. Monday morning sat in my small miserable rainy gray town in England, but feeling so motivated and inspired right now. I've set it as my goal to be in your position right now looking at places in Bali by the end of 2018. I do have one question, why rent over buy? Any specific reason? Wishing you all the best with the move and I say go for #4. Make a house a home! Keep living the dream for us man.
Rolman80 80 , hii I am indonesian, foreigner can only buy condo or apartment in indonesia, not landed house, and it must be a certain price of money or more expensive. Other wise foreigner can buy property only with indonesian name on it. The villa in the video is built for commercial purpose only, so it built for rent, the living in another house and its not for rent of course. Balinese have a certain rule regarding their house, rule of arrangment avery room in the house etc and villa in the video is built with interior and exterior design for foreigner not balinese. The reoson why it become so cheap? Because now, to many this kind of villa or houses for rent there, so they lower the price to get customer
JD AroundTheWorld , you are welcome, since villas in bali can be rented by day, renting it the whole year will make the owner so happy..I hope he enjoy his live in bali..can't wait to see his next video
With your amazing skills in shooting video, i think most of us would love to see u do more of this kind of house/villa hunting.. or tour.. Something like MTV cribs. It could really help alot of us subscribers to have a better view of the places and where to stay when we go to bali..
I'm currently in Canggu and actually spend the day running around and looking at places myself. For a studio / 1br / room you can def find something for under $500 USD per month in a nice area of Canggu.
Exciting to find a cool place in paradise as your second home. Villa 4 would be my pick. The outside space is what you want in a hot country, since you'll be more living outside than inside in my opinion. I'll probably be visiting Bali next year.
Hi :) First of all I want to say that I LOVE your videos, I begin my travels in October and you have been the source of a lot of my inspiration. I recently viewed your website to see what other content you have. I just wanted to let you know that I came across a possible spelling error. Please don't think this is me being mean, you seem like a guy who likes attention to detail so this is just me trying to help out. The error is on the FAQ page were you have wrote 'Is Laura and Angel? I think you meant 'an'. Once again keep up the great work and enjoy your travels!!!
Hey Christian..loved your house hunter videos..I know how it can get frustrated to find the right one..You will know it the minute you walk in.. and a friendly advice please be discreet with your plans about the villa and your strategy to leave before the visa expired but if you do it continuously it might raised a questions. Good luck I'm happy and proud that you choose Bali as your second home..Good Luck Christian
Yes more videos like this and also maybe you could interview people who found places at a really good price - how they found them, tour of their places, etc. I am moving there but would be renting for about 3-4 months more on a budget around $500.00 a month.
This is an awesome video, which opens my eyes of possibility once I retire. SOON. Love to see more. Maybe Thailand. Always dreamed of going back to live on beach
Canggu has the most break-ins in Bali compared to other area. That's because the town is very quiet, with minimum police presence, and has many expats living there. Every month u will hear it on the news. Those villas u checked out are the normal price in changu. If u r looking for cheaper one, u should find place without swimming pool. Those without swimming pool is only half the price of those with swimming pool.
Hi Christian, thank you so much for this video! Villa 4 :) It was insightful, and it's inspiring how you're planning to make a solid move to Bali - thanks for sharing! One day I hope to be as brave and move to stay in another country for a longer-term. Btw, is it common to sublet rooms in your villa?
the last villa is i think the best option. but anyways, i believe what matters most is your safety and still, the quality of your vlogs which again is super amazing by the way..
I hear you say one of the good things about Changgu is high speed internet. Get a Telkomsel Simpati card for your phone and you have great interenet almost everywhere!
The forth villa is cheaper than my university housing. They charged $15000 a year (an academic year so about 9 months) for one tiny shared room AND the bathroom were communal for the whole floor.
Definitely villa 4 my dude!! Funny that this is similar to my own 5 year goal. I'm really stoked for you and I look forward to seeing how it works out!!
This is great! I think Jon Olsson is around there now too, I wonder if you guys could meet? :D Also if you need someone to water the plants on the weekends, I just moved to Singapore and I'd be happy to fly down and take care of it while you're out! ;P
Hi Dude! You lucky thing! Love to be stationed in Bali. Good luck Villa hunting! My favourite was the last one🙂 What Microphone were you using in the last scene? Sounded awesome!
If you want to see many bids of villa, you just need to Join "Canggu Community" group on Facebook, it's a community for both local and expats in Bali, specifically Canggu area.
I feel like u should hit up Jon Olsson. He is also a vlogger who travels around the word and he is in Bali right now and I feel like u guys could do some collabs and just hang out.
Loved number 2 because of the dining area but it seems very suffocating + the rice fields may attract a lot of insects. Would go for 4, as 3 doesn't have charm :)
Never imagined that these videos would be the start of a multi million dollar business. ANYBODY can do it and I want to show you how in my Free 1 Hour Training: lostcreatoracademy.com/freetraining
I would've gone for the second spot. :) - when you say for the year, does that mean that you have to rent a year at a time?
I would choose the last one! that villa is amazing, my boyfriend and I are going to Bali in november for undetermined time and are also looking for a place to stay longer! Now really busy to get a visa and its really confusing for us. Especially the question if you whether or not can make money online when living in Bali.

Definitely number four! Exactly what I also have in mind while thinking of renting a vila in Bali :).
Lost LeBlanc the last one 👍🏼

Definitely number 4, I can imagine how comfy that place during rainy season and you are sitting in the space area for work.
I am such a sucker for these types of vids ! I LOVE seeing what housing in Asia looks like !!
So exciting!!! The Balinese style is so gorgeous. I really love villa 1 & villa 4 though they are all great!

Happy and proud if you. Just go and live the life! Enjoy and take mental pictures so you don´t ever forget.
Best of luck from Argentina!

Best of luck 😊
Definitely villa 4. Ticks all your boxes and you can hear it in your voice that you like it.
Villa 3 is my fav. If you're not there all the time, try to get a gated community. If it exists out there.
Awesome!!! So good 😁🙌 it's like watching house hunters 😉 but vlogger style in my favorite country🌴🌅🍍 🇮🇩 Epic!! Good luck on the search, would love to have a Bali home base one day 👌
House Hunters in Bali -- what a fcking awesome concept for a tv program.
Ditto!
Loved this video Christian. I know for a fact that I'm not wanting to get stuck in cold Norway for the rest of my life 🤣 I liked the villa with the high ceilings

I like the last one..the villa #4....you gave me an idea and now planning to visit Bali...thanks much!

VILLA 4 for the win brosef! BALIn!
Dude with those prices... no wonder so many people go and live there when they retire and stuff haha. :)
Last 2 houses are defo the best of the bunch imo
Awesome. Heading to #Bali202030 will watch your process!
Rolman80 80 but it also gives localers more jobs
Rolman80 80 , hii I am indonesian, foreigner can only buy condo or apartment in indonesia, not landed house, and it must be a certain price of money or more expensive. Other wise foreigner can buy property only with indonesian name on it.

I'm currently in Canggu and actually spend the day running around and looking at places myself. For a studio / 1br / room you can def find something for under $500 USD per month in a nice area of Canggu.

I am very happy to hear about your journey to Vietnam....😁😁😁
thanks for taking us along my friend :
The 2nd Villa looks nice and it has more space to decorate especially the living room
Alright, FINE!! I'll come live in BALI. The tease is REAL 😍😍😍
Loved the idea of this video! Extremely helpful!
Nice I love the tropical design great vlog thanks
Yes more videos like this and also maybe you could interview people who found places at a really good price - how they found them, tour of their places, etc. I am moving there but would be renting for about 3-4 months more on a budget around $500.00 a month.
I love your channel so much Christian! You deserve more ❤❤❤
This is an awesome video, which opens my eyes of possibility once I retire. SOON. Love to see more. Maybe Thailand. Always dreamed of going back to live on beach
I like villa 3 or 4 best. But probably 4 a little more. I am also noticing you say that you will be moving, will Laura be joining you?
OMG you're moving to bali?? so excited for you
Canggu has the most break-ins in Bali compared to other area.
Villa 3 or 4! This kind of content suits you well! Love this man!
Awesome video loved it really enjoyed it so much such an inspiration
Hi Christian, thank you so much for this video! Villa 4 :)
It was insightful, and it's inspiring how you're planning to make a solid move to Bali - thanks for sharing! One day I hope to be as brave and move to stay in another country for a longer-term. Btw, is it common to sublet rooms in your villa?
Sick video, do more villa tours! I love seeing the price because I'm looking at moving there
Hey i'm from bali but i never go to canggu, because I'm still in school. I suggest you to go to kintamani or singaraja. It's a great place.
the last villa is i think the best option. but anyways, i believe what matters most is your safety and still, the quality of your vlogs which again is super amazing by the way..
I like villa du sun and villa tulip.
I hear you say one of the good things about Changgu is high speed internet. Get a Telkomsel Simpati card for your phone and you have great interenet almost everywhere!
VILLA 4 IS GREAT! that one defs caught my eye.
I am really excited for you broo. Take care! 😆
Think you'll be there early Oct? Fellow Canuck has booked the Halloween month in Bali. Be cool to grab a Bintang with ya!
Enjoyed every second of this video! thanks for sharing your experience with us.
Wow! Absolutely amazing!
I'm so excited for you! If I live anywhere else in the world my choice is also Canggu! Amazing place and I LOVED it there!
bro. hope I can meet you in bali one day... i'll be visiting bali soon.
The forth villa is cheaper than my university housing. They charged $15000 a year (an academic year so about 9 months) for one tiny shared room AND the bathroom were communal for the whole floor.
Sanur is a great area to live,
There are also some traditional Dutch colonial houses.
0:24 you are not allowed to "work" in Indonesia with a tourist visa :)
Ja
Jan Pieterszoon Coen nor are you legally allowed to rent rooms or a villa without a licence
Jan Pieterszoon Coen your name same as Dutch governor who tortured Indonesian in the past
Snitches get stitches
Hi! You might also want to consider checking out the Umalas and Bumbak area... 😊
Wow! Interesting news!
Another great one Christian! You're crushing it bro!
Thanks Nick!
Definitely villa 4 my dude!! Funny that this is similar to my own 5 year goal. I'm really stoked for you and I look forward to seeing how it works out!!
@lostleblanc this is both inspiration and mind boggling!
Hello from 2022! Possibly looking to move to Bali so thank you for making this video 👍🏼
Great vlog as always Christian! When will you visit Singapore again? =)
This is great!
I think Jon Olsson is around there now too, I wonder if you guys could meet? :D
Also if you need someone to water the plants on the weekends, I just moved to Singapore and I'd be happy to fly down and take care of it while you're out! ;P
Hi Dude! You lucky thing! Love to be stationed in Bali. Good luck Villa hunting! My favourite was the last one🙂 What Microphone were you using in the last scene? Sounded awesome!
that bathroom had an echo, echo, echo...moving to beautiful Bali, such a lucky bastard, keep vlogging, thanks for sharing.
If you want to see many bids of villa, you just need to Join "Canggu Community" group on Facebook, it's a community for both local and expats in Bali, specifically Canggu area.
I loved d 4th villa!!! Its like dream home!!! Thankx for sharing
