There really is something that strikes you upon hearing Rachael for the first time. I think you know you're hearing something truly special. It grabs you and makes you want to spread the news of her and Lake Street Dive. Great fun to listen to.

Thanks for the message! 2018 will be so much better, knowing they're in our orbit. (Rachael will be here at IMA www.ima.org this weekend, again doing her vocal workshop(s) intensives. We are so lucky that she gets what we do here, and is so generous). xx

I loved the quote "Holy Shit, I've heard a lot of bands and a lot of singers, there's really something here..." It was exactly how I felt when I saw Rachael and Lake Street Dive perform in the documentary "Another Day Another Time" From that moment on, I was HOOKED....

How totally right on is that? And their new album, coming out in February? STELLAR. They are such a gift, and contributors to, the world!

Thanks for sharing these videos. I'm a big fan of Lake Street Dive, and an admirer of Rachel Price's vocal abilities, so it is nice to get a sense of the person behind that astounding voice. She seems to be not only talented but also very bright, thoughtful and genuine.

She is indeed - glad you appreciated this. It was during a vocal weekend workshop here at IMA, so she had already talked about herself to them over the weekend ... hence my recaps. (because I knew we would likely post). What you see - is exactly what you get, and how she is. An astonishing individual. xx June Millington, Artistic Director IMA www.ima.org

“The Idea of Order at Key West” by Wallace Stevens is a poem which explores some of the concepts June Millington seems to be alluding to.

Talk about the Unbroken Circle: a 60s/70s Rocker interviewing a 2020 contemporary talent discussing Sarah Vaughan. Great discussion.

Check out Rachel Price singing "Greasy Heart" with Jorma Kaukonen on guitar, Jack Cassidy on bass. This young woman has the talent to do full justice to this little gem of a song, and Grace Slick's true original rendition..
