I’m the American daughter to a German mom and my friend sent me her videos saying it always reminds him of my mom, me too!! 😂❤️ sie ist wahnsinnig lustig 😆
I love her German mum character. It is perfection. Every line adds something, the facial expressions in addition to the lines, the tones…. The judgement. Love it. Happily married to a German woman for almost twenty years. She used to have those same conversations with her Oma. Hilarious and SO spot on. Laura is so great! Awesome vid!
Laura is so nice that she naturally asks questions because she’s genuinely interested in who she’s speaking to. It’s very rare and that’s why the interviewer is so surprised. She listens!! Go Laura you’re amazing!

Also Tom, I have never seen your videos before, but I really enjoyed this one, and will watch more. But I was thinking if someone ever did a parody of you, it would be Jack Black in The Holiday. Lol

Her mother impression is the best. She reminds me of my German host mother. She would walk us all over the fjords in Norway and then say, "let's get lunch!" We were in the middle of nowhere. She meant forage for mushrooms and berries. 😅

Wonderful interview! Also, can we talk about Laura Ramos' language skills? Clearly speaks Italian, haven't seen a sketch with her speaking German but the mom character's accent and Germanisms are so good, I wouldn't be surprised if she did (native German here). Her English is excellent despite not having grown up in an English-speaking country at all and who knows what she picked up in all those countries she's lived in. Kudos! I know people who've lived in another country for 20 years and could never shed their thick accents.
it likely runs in the family, just based on her mother teaching herself polish while living there. a love of languages, and a natural affinity for learning them, runs in my family from my mothers side as well (:
I just realized how much my german mom formed me. I hardly ever watch long videos anymore but for some reason I just watched a talk show. That is the most my german mom thing ever. Laura, I lived in different countries too as my father was in the diplomatic service. When I got married (to a German, and will soon celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary), I too wanted to have a permanent base to live with my family (Berlin). I love your videos.
Would love to see more of this charming, talented lady in movies or TV. Saw her shorts on UA-cam, went to her channel page, and watched them all. Good for her. The pompous know-it-alls at Julliard certainly missed out on an amazing talent.
I see this woman has been doing stage performances for years, and I just discovered her. So brilliant! One of the few I am binge watching! Great to hear her real voice and life story. As an only child in all those countries, it's no wonder she has a supra-muscular imagination developed! How did she learn to speak English with a native North American accent? Especially as a child of Europeans and spending her childhood in mainly Asian countries. Hope she talks more about her parents!

I have a German step mom, father, and grandparents, and Laura is spot on. Hilarious comedic timing. Tom is a perfect interviewer. PS would love to see French room mate. 😉
So interesting to see her interviewed and get an idea about what she is like herself. Very likeable! Italian Dad!!!! ❤❤❤ 😃Same stuff here 😅 the night before I fly anywhere, I'm up doing whatever...cooking, rearranging the freezers contents, you name it.
I lived in Germany for a short time with with my French Canadian mom and my Irish dad. I love Laura's content! I am a French mom but I recognize myself a lot in your German mom. That more straight forward way of talking to your kids. No sugar coating. Tell it as it is 😊
I am German, been living in France for over 20 years now. My colleagues used to tell me I am very direct, I wasn't aware of it until I was told and I rather think that french people have a problem with that. I thought it was more of a personal character thing but watching her German Mom videos I realised it seems to be kind of typical German and I admit this is comforting me a lot since it's not always appreciated but I am just that way...

Indeed! And also he is a cutie. :)
Grew up in the States, but a friend's mom was German. Your impression is spot-on, at least based on my experience.
Italian Dad!!!! ❤❤❤ 😃Same stuff here 😅 the night before I fly anywhere, I'm up doing whatever...cooking, rearranging the freezers contents, you name it.
I just love her comedy. All the "girl who just came back from.." are so funny and so true!
Such a well done interview, love the atmosphere, what a beautiful conversation! ❤👌👌👌
I lived in Germany for a short time with with my French Canadian mom and my Irish dad. I love Laura's content! I was born and raised mostly in the United States, and her experience of living with two parents with different cultures, in a country that is not your parents' native lands- her humor hits different 😂 Also, German Mom is giving SNL1990s era skit SPROCKETS and I live for it!
She is naturally funny and very real ❤!!
I am a French mom but I recognize myself a lot in your German mom. That more straight forward way of talking to your kids. No sugar coating. Tell it as it is 😊
"it's a sugar epidemic!"
It's emotional abuse, lady! You've been abusing your kids psychologically and whitewashing it as "directness". 😠
Second City is the bomb. Chicago girl here, love your videos. Italian Father and German Mother too! Boy can I relate . Just discovered you, big fan.
Ach Lara!! 😂
My new favorite internet gal. 🤩
I keep watching this interview because i love watching Laura crack Tom up, it makes me laugh!
