What about frozen shoulder excercises. My pt gave me a shoulder pulley and some excercises but I still have limited ROM in my arm. And I can't put arm behind my back.

Did the frozen shoulder improve? I'm going for the cortisone shot. Doctor said it might improve ROM.

The cortisone shot in the beginning when i first get it done yes you feel it down the arm. But for me it felt like he didnt put it in the right spot. My PT said they put in in the joint at the back if the shoulder when it hurt at the front. Now a couple months later with continuing PT and ongoing home excercises; I have a little bit more ROM in that arm. I can lift it up higher but not full 100 percent yet. And putting arm behind my back is still a no go. Only thing that's changed is I have less pain and a little bit more ROM. But it's still going to take a long time and excercises to get that shoulder and multiple muscles to work. And if you feel like it's your bicep tendon that's screwed up, it's not. If it always hurts all all the time or your elbow just doesn't want to cooperate and bend the right way, because that's my case too. I have a whole packet full of excercises for external and internal rotation. Different ones. So hope everything works out for you. I go in again. And if you don't work out the shoulder, it stiffens up, but don't over work the shoulder when exercising it.

@@tammyfaloon9334 Actually, my shoulder currently doesn't hurt at all (unless I put it in end of ROM, but still not too much). It hurt more in the beginning of April when I think it started. If let say I drop the keys and I try to catch them real fast, I get freezing pain where I can't move at all and it lasts for maybe 1 minute. Now I still occasionally I get the pain like that but not even close to intensity before. So, it has been for maybe 4 months. Not sure if cortisone shot would be helpful after 4 months. My chiropractor referred me to orthopedist that says 2 cortisone shots (at different times of course) for frozen shoulder would improve everything (that was his experience dealing with these kind of patients). But I don't have pain. Which means, maybe I don't have inflammation. Hard to tell. I'll probably try to get one shot and see how it goes. For me, I can extend arm to maybe 120 degrees (after that my body starts making some weird positions to try to extend it straight up), the worst is behind the back (I can't even bend my elbow when trying that). Also if I try to push my arm towards my chest (across my chest), I can't do that. If I extend both of my arms away from my body to 90 degrees, on my affected shoulder, I see kind of bigger bump on top of the shoulder. If I put my right arm on my belly button and try to bend my elbow up, I can't do it, the whole arm moves. And I noticed this, If my back is facing the wall (touching the wall) and I try to raise my arms (both) and bend them 90 degrees so both are touching the wall, I can't do that with right arm. Anyway, if I let say put my left arm finger on top of my right affected shoulder and I try to move my arm up, the finger goes way back (almost behind the back). If I put my right arm finger on left good shoulder, then it moves just a little bit. Generally I don't have too many issues for range of motions that I have now, but let say, I can't swim. So, I'm not sure if I should get cortisone shot or not? It might be too late to fix anything. But chiropractor did say that in his 33 years of experience as chiropractor and as doctor (he was doing manual manipulation under anesthesia in hospitals) most of the cases of frozen shoulder improve but it takes long time. But if there are no exercises done, it can create problems later on with ROM.
