If this ship was real it would literally fill the sky. I have one of Bandai’s AT-AT’s which went together perfectly and just requires painting. They are certainly awesome kits and as you pointed out so full of detail.
Definitely! There are some quite entertaining videos on UA-cam about how much time, energy, and material would be required to build things like the Star Destroyers and the Death Star.
1/100,000 scale, I've never heard of such an extreme scale, but of course it'd have to be based on the size of the " real" Starship Excellent build out, painting the inside of the engine was a very nice touch. With all the new paint formulas I will occasionally run a test paint strip on the inside surface to judge compatibility . Looking forward to your 2023 videos. Happy New Year, Cheers.
Looks like UA-cam won't let me post the link to the set I bought. The eBay seller is yogurt80, and he sells that set for $10.45 USD, free shipping. It may cost a little more to cross the pond, but I think it might be worth your while.
Try somewhere like hobby link Japan for Bandai kits, you'll get them at the Japanese market price and if you're under £135 total including postage, you'll avoid import duty. Bandai are god tier for detail and mechanical engineering that goes into their kits. As for thinner interacting with their plastic, it's because its ABS, so just use ABS friendly thinners.
And a very happy New Year to you too, MN! With lots of inspiration and new kits. I really like your channel (and you of course) and I'm always looking forward to everything you post. And I do enjoy our conversations! BTW, any progress on the Walking Dead dio we were pondering? Cheers, Mike
Thank you Mike, I appreciate that. I haven't done a lot of modelling this past week or so (unless building Lego with my friends' kids counts!) but I'm hoping to get some time this weekend. As for the Walking Dead dio, that's still quite far down the list unfortunately.
Thanks Steve. Yes, absolutely crazy prices outside of Asia. In Malaysia you can get this kit for around 25 MYR (£5 or $6). Here they're closer to £40. Equally, the droid kits there are about 75 MYR. I stocked up on a few before I left :)
Steve 131, where are you located? I'm in America and I have one I can part with, including the decal set I mentioned earlier. We'll just have to agree on the price and shipping.
@@Dragon_Werks thanks for the offer Tim im in England, we are in the process of moving house at the moment and all cash and time is being put in to that at moment thank you for thinking of it.
Hi there I saw Hattons have photo-etch products for 1:35 military models 😀. I am not sure if you are interested 🤔 but check the out. "May The Force Be With You."
Revell seems to have done a deal with Bandai as some of these smaller "mecha scale" models are appearing with a Revell logo on the box side although they are still hard to find and Ebay seems to be the best source. Its a shame as many of Revells own releases were awful. Their pre-coloured smaller kits were not that bad but the larger kits - also pre coloured - were just clip together toys with none of the fine molded detail of the Bandai kits. Just compare the Bandai and Revell 1/72 Millennium Falcon kits. Granted the price tag of the Bandai was high but it was worth it.
Yes, the Bandai kits are great. I have the Revell Razorcrest kit and it looks OK - but Revell also do things in annoying scales (e.g. 1/9 for the Mandalorian figure, when all the Bandai ones are in 1/12)
The giant triangle of doom! Glad you finally got around to painting this model. Always relaxing and fun to see you paint stuff. :-)
Thanks - glad you liked it

Nice painting job! Imperial ships are so beautiful!
Thank you!

Thank you mate. Happy new year!
*Bandaï makes great Star Wars models, quick assembly and very nice result!*
They really do - and they usually follow the original studio models too, so you can see the original model parts the ships were kit-bashed from :)
I sure don't envy you having to find a place to display this monster 🤠.
Have a happy new year.
Hehe, thanks Robert. Happy new year.
Another superb build, thanks, and happy New Year.
Thank you Bill. Happy new year!
Very nice build. Awesome job!
Thanks!
Nice quick build, Happy new year to you my friend.
Thank you John. Happy new year!
There's a seller on ebay who .makes a decal set for this kit (and a vast array of others). I highly recommend getting it.
Thanks, I've just looked it up. It looks good, although it does cost more than double what I paid for the kit :)

Thanks Dominic. I used to use HLJ a lot when I lived in Malaysia. Unfortunately their shipping to the UK is quite steep at the moment :(
@@ModelNerd I think that's Japan period tbf, as I used a proxy site recently to buy some auction lots from yahoo Japan and they're the same.
That is a very nice kit, you did an amazing job.
Thanks Henry
Happy New Year 👍

Cool model.
Thanks
I just got mine Thursday
Enjoy! It's a nice little kit.
How much water and Vallejo did you use to thin it out in the consistancy shown in the video? Also was it black Vallejo acrylic paint did you use?
Yes, it was Vallejo black acrylic. How much water? I'm not sure....I tend to measure these things by eye, sorry.
19 km long that's a big un. Would love a Ban Dai kit but prices are a bit scary , good work sir.

A very nice build. A gift from Santa?
Thanks. Unfortunately (but definitely understandably!) Santa didn't bring me any model kits this year.
A very good model but it would be also interesting in a larger scale!
I agree! One a foot or so long would be really nice

I sure wouldn't envy someone having to go from one end to the other inside that ship
Haha, definitely not!

Try to build 1/32 of that model you are building
Hehe....in my 600m house :)
I hate you see the line between the main body and the tail.
Yeah it's a bit annoying but filling it would be too.
Its far too small for the subject....
I agree - it's a shame nobody has released a version maybe measuring 30cm or so, or even a little bigger, like the Star Destroyer model.
@@ModelNerd The scale they had for the regular Star Destroyer would be perfect.
There was a resin kit that was about 38inches long but it was over $300.00 last time I saw it listed.
@@tonygreenfield7820 I remember having the one they released in the 80s that was over 2 feet long.
