Whisky.com reviews the Glenfiddich 40 years old. This specially hand selected whisky was matured in American oak and European oak. It is a very nice individual bottle from the independent company Glenfiddich. There are only 506 bottles on the market.
The nose:
Very complex, dark fruits, dark ripe cherries, a bit of leather, coffee, dates.
The taste:
Very aggressive oakiness complimented by dark fruits, raisins and some dark chocolate. But still very smooth and round.
The finish:
Long and complex

When my father died we held his wake in a hotel in Inverness and my step brother bought me a dram and I really enjoyed it so asked for another. I later found out it was Glenmorangie Pride 1974. It was £170 for a single. Delicious though!
Well sir, I have to admit that your knowledge regarding the English language is amazing. I recently started studying the Cambridge method in order to master the English language, but I wonder what or who caused you to speak this language so fluently.
As for the Whisky, you seem to catch my interest as well. Thanks to people like you I would like to try more kinds of whisky every time I get the opportunity to do so.

And it's not your average fly, its from the Scottish slopes. These are raised by Glenfiddich just for the 40 year old.

I’ve had the GF 12,15,18 & 21. I thought the 15 was the best until they ruined it when they went to the purple box. Tastes like fabric softener now.

You're my idol, Horst.. Lagavulin 16 is my fav single malt whiskey... i wish you taste Finnish 10yrs single malt, Teerenpeli whiskey.
What a nice colour this one have. Very dark.
Color is unfortunately easily faked with caramel, though this is obviously not the case.
