Just a dream ! Just imagine camper vanning on Glen Muick that just something in itself.Great photos of the red deer and snow in May ! But it looks beautiful. Nice van you have. Plus it’s great to see that you are meeting up with fellow photographer Richard I follow him on his channel too it’s always a good watch. Really looking forward to the other two parts in this amazing place. Thank you for sharing your photographic adventures. Enjoy !
I'm heading to Scotland for the first time for a few weeks in June. I'm so looking forward to taking all of the pictures in the land! Your channel is well produced, engaging, and I appreciate your calm demeanor. What a great discovery. You've definitely earned my admiration and my time.
Love the photos - just started out on the M43 journey but a few years ahead of you on the T5. Welcome to Vanlife :-) burgers taste better somehow cooked in the van.
Superb video Espen, the music and pictures were superb! I felt as if I was on the journey with you, my son and wife watched along too and now they want a camper van, lol... I'm keen on that, looks such a cool way to do things, burger and a beer is the only way to roll, not sure on the mustard though mate, lol.. Looking forward to Pt 2. Al the best Richard 😀
Espen this one Best vids you do in long time music and the whole idea fantastic and time of the vide perfect too 15 minutes leaving us wanting more and you should be paid by the Scottish tourist tourist organisation is it for promoting campervan camping of course with a camera
Nice bit of video Espen, I am new to your channel looking forward to seeing more, come across your channel due to Richard B, have subscribed ready for more, have been trying to convince the wife to get a camper for a couple of years now, won't give up yet, all the best for now...
This really makes me want to get away from it all for good. I hope I can save as much as possible to get a wee camper and start doing this sort of thing, looks amazing.
Really looking forward to this series Espen. Great that you are meeting up with Richard too, he is a great guy and an amazing photographer. Cheers Keith
I love your van set up. It has everything you need. I like the idea of the road trip. Such wonderful images already. Can't wait to see what you will find next.
I must admit it is very tempting to get a van, especially if I lived up in Scotland ! Unfortunately it is very common around here now, but hope to grab a bargain one soon ! Far too many on the roads here in Southern England. Great to see Richard has made a visit from down here, it's about as far as we can go at the moment. I have Scotland pencilled in for 2022. Gorgeous Red deer photos great vlog 👍😍
Great to see a recent vlog from you Espen. Myself and a mate are up in the cairngorms next Friday for a week. Can't wait after having to cancel three trips due to lock down. Interesting seeing the young stags still with there antlers and the more mature males with there's just growing back 👍
I had mixed feeling about some of your last videos, especially the shorter ones. But this is again what I subscribed for; wonderful, calm and interesting wildlife photography! :)
Great video Espen thanks, check your service records and make sure your Cam Belt has been changed or when it's due, if the Cam-Belt breaks it will damage the engine...
Really great! You’re a good story teller, and your images are remarkable 😊 And the way that you tell your story, give me some «Lars Monsen»-vibes, without being «Lars Monsen». Really looking forward to the next episode!
Hi Espen Another good watch role on the next. Thinking of swapping over to mirror less are you still using the 100-400 with the om1x. Using the D500 with the 300 2.8 vrii at the moment but struggling to hold it up for short periods with a bad shoulder so think it’s time to go lighter. Cheers Shane
@@EspenHelland I have the Canon 90d with the 100 400mm ii lense, it's perfect but not very light when carrying it all day long. Olympus looks so light compared..
Awesome shots as always! Headed over your way and really would like to find deer. I live in the southern appalachians in the US and our whitetail deer are great to photograph, but I'd really like to get a chance to get some photos of the deer in Scotland. I'll have a short day through Cairngorm park, but more time on Skye and Glencoe area. Any recommendations on best possible location other than Cairngorm Nat'l park? Your tips and videos have helped me improve and looking forward to trying new skills in Scotland at the end of June. Thanks.
Awesome to hear Greg. Lots of deer in Scotland, the easiest place to photograph them is probably Glencoe, and down Glen Etive, I hear their almost tame there. They can be tricky out on most hills as they run away from people and the hills are mostly bare of trees.
Thanks Erik! I use my em1x with 300 f4 sometimes with the 1.4x for close ups or when I just walk around taking opportunistic photos. I use my em1ii with the 40-150 for more environmental images and filming or if wildlife comes really close, and I use the em1ii with the 12-40 f2.8 for vlogging as well.
When you are out on a run or ride looking for areas to photography do you ever use a GPS unit like a Garmin to waypoint them for future? Also do you geotag your photos, I find that handy for my pictures to look back later and see where they were taken.
I don't actually geotag my photos, probably should though. Sometimes I add it after in Lr. I use Outdoor GPS on my phone, with a subscription I can download OS maps all over to UK and use them offline and mark places and make notes :)
WOW... 😲🙌🙌 Thank you very much... 👍👍👍👌👌 "SALUDOS... 👋👋😃 "
Good one Espen!. Saw you were enjoying a nice San Miguel with your meal. You brought with you to Scotland a little part of Spain...... 😃
Excellent video mate looking forward too part 2 👍
Great video as always Espen, can't wait for part two.
San Miguel a great beer 😂🤣

Your choice of location for photography is next to none. Anxiously waiting for part 2.
Can’t wait for the next instalment. Great stuff Espen. 👍👍👍👏👏👏
Scotland is blessed with natural beauty.

Back in the 70s, I had two VW Westphalia campers and went everywhere!
Nice!
I wish I could meet you in person, there's so much I want to learn from you.
Enjoyed it and looking forward to the next part. The van looks just the thing

Hi Espen nice little video I will look forward to seeing how the whole trip goes. Until next time take care and stay safe my friend.

Great vlog .Looking forward to seeing how Richard gets on up in Scotland.
Perfect as always. Can't wait for the next one, I loved the deer peering over to see you.
Just an idea for a van name: Wildlife VanTastic !

Thank you very much Roar! Will have to check out Lars Monsen, outdoorsy kind of Ray Mears type yeah?
Another name option for your van... "Geal Bo'can"
you should get together with Thomas Heaton, The Vanmen
😅👍
Fantastic video. Love the van. Looks nice and cozy! Out of curiosity how far was that run? It looked like a nice trail.
Thank you Peter! That was one of my favourite runs, it was 11.6km from the parking lot, around the loch and back.
Its a T5 so should be good for years.

No, that was just a loaner from Olympus. I got the 300 f4 and 40-150 f2.8 and a 1.4x
👍
Amazing! Do you miss the old Canon setup at all or is this change the best thing ever?
Don't really miss it, love the setup I have now :)

Awesome footage!!! Wish I could travel to Scotland... I had to cancel my trip in 2021. :-(
Sorry to hear that, next year then!
