God Damn you really know how to write a loathsome villain, I think this version of 87546 might just be one of the best antagonists from any TTTE fanproject I've seen purely just by how despicable he is
Protagonist corruption arcs are so scarce in this community! I love how you utilised Henry in this one, he felt so natural! A perfect way to end off the Johnson saga, I cannot wait to see what comes next from them!
I’m very excited for this, as Johnson is probably one of my favorite takes on who the red engine could be. The way they act and handle different situations is also very unique, and the scenes of Johnson in their strange void (which it is of my belief that it is a representation of their mind) are probably some of my favorite scenes, as it allows us to know what they are thinking, while still keeping things interesting.
This was incredible. The characters, camera shots, music, tension and voice work were all spectacular! In hindsight, I should've expected Johnson's departure. It leaving lays for the groundwork for The Fat Director to purchase James. Topham may not trust Johnson after the accident, but it proved itself to be a reliable worker. It therefore makes sense for The Fat Director to look for another engine which is either the same or at least a similar class to Johnson. While I'm sad that this quadrilogy of stories has come to an end, I have a suspicion that Johnson's story isn't quite so finished yet. In RWS canon, The Red Engine is said to have returned for a short while to help out after Henry received his new shape. You can see it in the background in of the illustrations of Henry's Whistle. Regardless of whatever the future holds, I commend you for such amazing work. Very well done indeed!

I know Awdry never said that the Red tender engine was James's brother but I feel he and Johnson was siblings some how
You really relate to Johnson in this. It’s easy to follow along and begin to believe the things that people ( and I suppose engines ) like 87546 says, and you go through that with Johnson. Makes you think “is he faking it? He could be. But no, he wouldn’t do that… would he?” And you’re left grasping at every word Henry says trying to figure it out for yourself. It makes you wonder if Henry really could pull that train up the hill by himself. And it hits harder when in the end you come to realize fully that he’s genuinely not faking it. And you feel that shame with Johnson, and the relief of hearing Johnson explain what’s been going on hits even harder because of that. Outstanding storytelling. Can’t wait to see where this story continues to go in the future.
Ha! That illustration at the disclaimer brought a smile to my face! I dunno why, but seeing an engine shout the F word just cracks me up. Poor Johnson! I can't help but wonder if it will reunite with Henry again, if only to see that Henry got better. And that fragment of No. 87546 tormenting its mind is disheartening, and makes me tense regarding his plans and what lays in the future... This was an excellent collection of stories to explain the disappearance of that one red engine in the RWS.
I can't believe Johnson actually followed 87546 in the end, I hope they find the light one day and can return to sodor and become a permanent resident.
A brilliant end for the Johnson series! Johnson is a kind-hearted engine deep down, but got affected by the wrong engine and made a poor decision. While the action it did is not acceptable, it is understandable, and I have my utmost sympathy for it. To me, anyone who learns their mistake and is willing to change deserves another chance, but sometimes real life simply doesn’t allow that to happen, and Johnson got the short end of the stick. On the other hand, while Johnson is responsible for all of its actions, 2 other characters are also responsible. 87546’s role in this is obvious, but I feel that the Fat Controller is also partly responsible. How? You may ask. Well, the Fat Controller doesn’t give much attention to his engines’ mental state. When Johnson broke down the last episode, rather than comforting it or regretting giving it too much work, the Fat Controller showed annoyance at its breakdown. Sure the incident makes you one engine down, but it did more work than the others and deserved more credit. Even though this isn’t the main focus of the story, I still feel that it helped bring Johnson “down the line”. In the end, Johnson was a good engine. It was just given too much work and affected by the wrong voice which took its mind over. I hope Henry would forgive it one day and we can see it in its truest form: the quiet, thoughtful but helpful Johnson we first saw it.
Well I bet 87546 could have been sent away already due to his rude behaviour and 98462 could have been purchased by the fat director gave his name back and he would be able to be taking passengers across sodor but in my head cannon for Johnson regaby and Alfred all 3 are part of the nwr in 1947 and 1954 so yeah that’s probably what it is
Starting to think later in the future that maybe 87546 might still use Johnson for his plan. After all, they did follow him (at least symbolically) at the end. An excellent story!
Ironically, Henry was never faking his "condition". According to the original stories, he was built with a small firebox that could never build up enough steam. After using welsh coal, he was better. Then after the Flying Kipper incident, he was rebuilt with a bigger firebox.
@Ethan Schmid I wonder, and I have noticed, does Johnson suffer from a bit of communication problems? He never talks that much to the other engines even though Edward, Thomas and Henry (even Alfred) are kind to him. I only saw the previous episode where Gordon thought Alfred was bullying Johnson.

holy shit, chara that was amazing!! johnson will forever be one of my favourite fan characters i think. from the way you write to the way you film and act, it’s brilliant, and creates such a powerful and moving piece of media that not many people can pull off. this was wonderful. overall 8/10 it was pretty good i guess /j (8/8 more like!)

We all know Johnson is going to become the official fan name for The Red Engine due to this marvelous series! I hope people keep the canon that they’re NB rather than changing it, I personally keep them that was if I was to write a story about it.

What mental condition does Johnson have? I have mental conditions of my own and seeing them go through it reminded me of my one struggles. I really like Johnson’s character, especially since it is so relatable

That was amazing. I really love how natural all the characters are and that photo of Johnson helping Henry out of the tunnel was so sad. I don't know if it's cause we can't see it's face or something but still. I would say more but words can't describe how good this series is. I've seen many people focus on 98462 being the bad guy with 87546 sorta being his punching bag, not only have you done it the other way around but you also focused on the red engine more than the other two and actually tied them together. One thing I will ask is, what is the music in the outro montage? It sounds so familiar and I actually found myself humming it like I knew it. I feel like I've heard it years ago but just can't place my fingers on it. Anyway great story, or stories, and I look forward to seeing many more:)
I would actually love it if it was a Mario cart race, but with all these characters in this episode, throwing insults, being cheeky, sabotage, power ups, did I mention racing yet?
What a rollercoaster of a saga. Poor Johnson, I can't help but wonder what will happen to them after this, and what this connects with Regaby? I do hope Johnson comes back. He went from 'Yes, I'm perfectly fine', to having a mental breakdown at many points in the saga. with Regaby being the puppet master, with that being clever. It makes me wonder about Regaby's conversation with Audrey. It may be possible that Johnson will come back at some point, along with a certain black 0-4-0 tank engine. I may be looking too much into this, but two questions. Does James know about Johnson and how will the other engines, especially Henry and Edward seeing him? Since 985462 and 87546 get sent away before James arrives. Keep up the good work!

Though I new here I've always been a Thomas the tank engine fan since it was my first series I fell in love with as a toddler. I meant other Thomas the Tank Engine UA-camrs that make the series you combined the Music from My Favorite indie game with it so is this another that earned my subscription.

* honestly it works the same way as it does in the books and show, it depends on what the story needs * my 'darker' stories usually stray away from crews and gives more power to the engines, whereas the more light-hearted ones let them have a bit more agency and control

That was amazing. I really love how natural all the characters are and that photo of Johnson helping Henry out of the tunnel was so sad. I don't know if it's cause we can't see it's face or something but still. I would say more but words can't describe how good this series is. I've seen many people focus on 98462 being the bad guy with 87546 sorta being his punching bag, not only have you done it the other way around but you also focused on the red engine more than the other two and actually tied them together. One thing I will ask is, what is the music in the outro montage? It sounds so familiar and I actually found myself humming it like I knew it. I feel like I've heard it years ago but just can't place my fingers on it. Anyway great story, or stories, and I look forward to seeing many more:)

What a rollercoaster of a saga. Poor Johnson, I can't help but wonder what will happen to them after this, and what this connects with Regaby? I do hope Johnson comes back. He went from 'Yes, I'm perfectly fine', to having a mental breakdown at many points in the saga. with Regaby being the puppet master, with that being clever. It makes me wonder about Regaby's conversation with Audrey. It may be possible that Johnson will come back at some point, along with a certain black 0-4-0 tank engine. I may be looking too much into this, but two questions. Does James know about Johnson and how will the other engines, especially Henry and Edward seeing him? Since 985462 and 87546 get sent away before James arrives. Keep up the good work!

* honestly it works the same way as it does in the books and show, it depends on what the story needs
* my 'darker' stories usually stray away from crews and gives more power to the engines, whereas the more light-hearted ones let them have a bit more agency and control
