Thank you for accepting our invitation to the 79th Indignation Meeting. I know that much time has passed since my last full story, and as mentioned in the invite, this is not a continuation of “Sudrian Rails” or “Railway of Nowhere”. Since my last full story, I’ve changed a lot as a person and as a writer, and what I want to focus on has changed quite a bit. I’ve also changed from being a high school student to a university one! Don’t study law. It’s not worth it.
Despite everything, perhaps you’ll enjoy this for what it is. It’s a very different story compared to what I've made before, but it's a story I’m very excited to share. Thank you for attending, I hope that this shall be worth the wait. It was so much fun to finally return to creating for the island we love so much, and I really do hope you enjoy it. This was actually beautiful, how the hell did you naturally write a story with the story beats of Henry dramatizing the cleanliness of pigs, Toby and Percy sharing their fever dreams, and James having a nervous breakdown for VERY little reason into such a coherent, heartfelt, wonderful story? The way you differentiate how every character acts in such subtle dialogue is so endearing! This was without a doubt a masterpiece and it should truly be taken to the smelters yard 🔥
It's good to know Edward is enjoying his birthday with Thomas by his side.
Those 'dream sequences' were... interesting. In all though, this story was amazingly brilliant and wholesome.
I love the video! Gordon, Henry, and the others thinking of why Edward was happy on this day was entertaining, Percy and Toby’s dreams were really funny (Henry would be a good poet). I also liked the ending with Thomas and Edward chatting, that was very wholesome!

He has known Edward the longest. I bet he pried Edward's birthday out of him a few days after his own first birthday, though. I bet his crew threw him a birthday celebration, at which point he realized other engines had birthdays, and he wanted to know Edward's. But when the others arrived, most of them were too stuck up to care, so they didn't ask, and by the time they had undergone enough character development to care, they were already in the habit of not thinking about it.

This might be your best story by far. I've always loved your writing, how you make the conversations had by the characters feel real, and I think this story is the best showcase of that. Henry's moment of poetry was fun, and so were the dream sequences, the Percy one caught me off guard for a good few seconds! The reference to Broomstick Thomas (in D Major) was awesome too, almost missed the fact it was there to begin with!
Overall, a lovely tribute to the Railway Series, with lovely writing and great execution.
This is easily one of the best Thomas stories I've ever bore-witness to! Also Percy's dream being shown using the old SI3d models made me burst out laughing. Excellent work.
So simple yet so impactful, this was truly brilliant work once again! Who knew the same video that had Percy Quick Cooking would warm my heart so much? Truly wonderful as always :D
I like that only Thomas and his coaches and probably the fat controller know his birth day. And it makes sense that Thomas is Edward's old friend because they both built the railway and meet In like the 1910's of 1920's if I'm correct. Great content man, you did such a great job on the video.

This was thoroughly entertaining all the way through. I love how fixated Gordon is on the meeting being a meeting, Henry's upper class mannerism was very fun to watch, and Toby's presence and expressions made me laugh. The ending was very sweet.
Plus, I was speechless when Percy's dream started playing. I couldn't believe someone actually referenced that video. It certainly caught me off guard and made me very happy.

Fantastic video! The meeting going off the rails was great, and Edward's idea of a perfect birthday is so fitting - just wanting a quiet birthday with the people you care about is very relatable. Thomas and Edward's friendship is also super well done, they're so different but share such a deep bond, it's really heart-warming and you captured that perfectly, great stuff!

Though Toby was playing the straight man to James' dumb methods of trying to rerail Gordon.
I like how you depicted Toby in his dream as being that slow-talking whiner that the CGI series had an obsession with, complete with the other nonsensical stuff that tended to happen in the early years. (...namely the writer's obsession with Rocky).
I was a little surprised you didn't have Toby butt in at some point and tell the others to simply ask why Edward was in such a good mood, only for them to brush off the suggestion. (Not a complaint, just an observation.)
Overall, I'm very pleased to see you return!
Wow! I love this! The things I love about this is James goes insane for his special and how big Henrietta plays a role and she’s actually a part of the meeting how James says, “Toby, Henrietta get out of my way!” Phenomenal work!
I’ve watched this about 5 times already, and I can’t get enough of how fun this story is. The music, the voice acting, Henry’s ‘performance,’ James’ outburst, Percy and Toby’s dreams, Gordon’s realization - it all comes together to form a very unique, funny, and wholesome story.
(Out of curiosity, what’s the name of the track that plays at 5:21? It’s really good.)

I simply could not stop laughing during this entire video, except for the incredibly heartfelt ending. Your script and characterization were absolutely gold; your understanding and care for these characters is so clear to see. This will definitely be a video I'll come back to often.

To say that I loved this story would be an understatement. I was flabbergasted, speechless, crying in tears of joy, and nearly passed out from laughing so hard at some scenes.
This was such an incredible commemoration to the 79th anniversary to RWS Chara. Every engine is so in character, this felt too good to be true of a story.
Gordon being his proper dignified manner when talking to everyone, James acting so childish was the best interpretation of the character I never thought I needed, Toby being toby, Henrietta had some sass to her, loved it, Henry being so over dramatic at times, Duck being reasonable in the group, but not afraid to have fun, Percy being the actual smart one of the group, being the closest to having child innocence is probably why, Thomas being there for Edward on his day out, and the Engine at the center of it all is just, as always, happy to have gotten this far.
Chara you cooked, and when you cooked, you make something to an equivalent to something finer than fine dining. What you’ve made here is something truly special. You got the core eight’s personality’s absolutely perfect, Its fun and everyone bouncing off one another is where your writing really shines. At the end of the day that’s all I really ask for in a RWS Story. Just really great stuff Chara. thank you for making just such a wonderful contribution to this anniversary.

That was brilliant! I don’t know what that middle section about dreams was, but it played a lovely contrast to the serene ending. I also enjoyed how quite the bit of the meeting felt similar to Dieseld199's Tender Engines United and how Henry was characterised. All made for a dynamic, yet soft and sweet story. Great job.

This is such a nice and sweet story, and I love how the stories of Edward are pretty much how he affects the lives of other engines, kind of like in tandem with how the books portrayed him, even his own book! Oh and the models...THEY LOOK LIKE I COULD SLAP JAMES IN THE FACE THEY'RE SO REALISTIC AAAAAAAAAAAAA
