    There are many gold medalists in swimming, but I've never seen anyone swim as gracefully and beautifully as she does. Before going to the pool, I always watch videos of Stephanie Rice for image training. Thank you for the great videos.

    Breaststroke I took to pretty easy but I was doing it all wrong resulting in fatigue and high stroke count. After tweaking every aspect and committing to practice daily I now can do it with ease with a lot less stroke count. Being new to swimming I am building stamina and endurance. I can swim longer doing breaststroke than front crawl now.

    Just started swimming recently after basically not swimming since school. I’ve been really struggling with how to do breast stroke especially the leg movement. This was super helpful!

    Awesome thanks a lot. I was 158kg with copd and severe spinal disc issues... now 105kg with a heap more muscle.
    My stroke was shocking for so long. But kept at it. I never knew i was swimming incorrectly u til i watched videos.
    Q Am i allowed to simultaneously porpise my legs waist hips (helps build muscle) while doing rhe breast stroke kick? Or is that a disqualification?
    Q i have been stretching my arms to wide and long and now have sore shoulder. Whats the quickest recovery method-?

    I love your videos on all the skills and strokes. You explain clearly and the swim videos are lovely. I struggle with BR the most but it's a goal to master it this season. I'm a believer too. So glad you are too!

    I never could swim breast stroke because my feet do not turn out enough to get any power from that kick. After having total knee replacement, the doctor told me not to swim breast stroke because that kick was bad for my knee. I guess I also consider it to not be efficient since you come to an almost complete stop in between stroke cycles.

    • @misakikurokawa9346
      @misakikurokawa9346 Рік тому

      I was told people with bad knees should do the modified breast stoke kick. I think it's called the frog kick??

    • @robohippy
      @robohippy Рік тому

      @@misakikurokawa9346 Not sure what your 'bad knees' are. The whip kick and the older frog kick are not good for knees. I had one knee replaced, and my doctor told me not to swim breast stroke, which was not a problem. I would say try it out maybe, and if it bothers your knee, then don't swim it any more.

    My mistake is keeping my head at 45 degrees forward in the water and moving my neck too much when getting a breath. Probably that's why I have some lower back pain.

    Is it an error if I don't do exactly the same thing? I put my arms over my head and bend my head down to have much more space for my arms. I put my hands as far as I can and then I dive like a butterfly with my back and make a banana with my back to slide as long as possible. My speed comes from mainly from my dive in my breaststroke.

      Try working on core strength to stop you over extending your lumbar spine lifting chest to breathe.

    • @tiennakarn4049
      @tiennakarn4049 16 днів тому

      @@ben-vt7gn Aww! Thank you for the reply💛 🙂 unfortunately, I found out its not a core issue (i was doing roughly 200 sit ups a week), I have chronic endometriosis and the iud device was the cause of severe backpain and numbness in legs. Once removed, backache eased but im left with 10-13 day menorrhagia! Swimming defo helps ease symptoms and theres less inflammation now iud is out. Im using a float too so i alternate doing lengths pulling up out of the water, then a return length with a float. In my experience if theres pain see a gp: do what you can, not what you cant! 🙂🙏

      Yes practice the kicking motion out of the water lying on his tummy and you can help guide his legs in the correct motion. Let me know how you go with this

    Just out of interest, what is your distance covered in the pool wall to wall underwater one breath. Your professional swimmers, just wonder where I faired. Your a very strong swimmer figured you’d give me a great goal or distance of distinction. “Fitness”

    good kick, good arm pull, but terrible swimming style all because of the breathing. 90% of arms energy wasted just for breathing
    just replace it with sidestroke or freestyle or whatever breathing and itd be a million times better
