Nice set up mate, I've the same rig with GT CSL DD wheel base and CSL WRC wheel, Samsung G5 32 curved monitor. Getting me a Club Sport shifter v1.5 this week. Nice video
Not interested in spending $$$ on the NLR GT Track so I took a 1"x 0.250" (24.5x 6mm) aluminum bar and had it drilled at one end then slotted on the opposite. Mounted it with one on the bolts on the shifter platform base at the frame then the other at the wheel base plate mounting bolts for more ridged rig.
I have to use the secure Bolt. Without, my QR1 is rattling very loud. My other QR1 wich came with the FormulaV2.5 fits and doesn't rattle. It's a Lottery, made by Fanatec.
After having worn down my GT DD Pro steering wheel, where the rubber was so worn out that the plastic underneath started to appear, I contacted Fanatec and they offered a repair, likely without costs but I'm only like 95% sure about that, fingers crossed. If Fanatec doesn't charge me for the repair, I might be willing to get the formula v2.5, but it's expensive especially since they raised the price. I'm wondering how the leather on the V2.5 is, is it good quality? Because the rubber from the GT DD Pro wheel is soft and wears out way too fast.
Hi I bought this wheel with my CSL dd. It works with the ps but I can’t get F1 2021 to recognise it. Does anyone know what I need to do to make it work?
The quick release is a way of connecting your wheel rim to the wheel base. You can have different models / types / versions but the one I use for my wheel rims is the metal Fanatec quick release (also known as QR1), as Fanatec are releasing a new quick release (QR2) soon. I hope that helped out :)
Double check this on the Fanatec website but I think the only base compatible with the PS5 is the GT DD Pro. In relation to what wheel rim you can use, I'm not 100% sure as I don't have a PS5 and Gt DD Pro to test this out, however most of their wheels should work if you have the GT DD Pro wheel base.
