Thanks Steve
Thank you for the watch.
Just received a voicemail about my application at Lancaster Tx Driving academy .. said they probably won't be accepting any new applications until august - september :( im hoping it doesn't take that long i had KLLM planned for this year as i just turned 21
will they offer a different location?
👍👍
Good vidio Steve stay safe!
Thank you of the support and kind words.
I've had my CDL A Steve for thirty years. I've driven for only six years because i retired from law enforcement. I will never ever get back into another truck ever again. I will never operate an 80,000 pound machine. Why folks keep thinking trucking is a great employment opportunity is beyond me. You do you Steve, but trucking is a loss cause
Thanks for stopping by. Yeah, it's not for everyone. Thanks for your service!
6:30, at that speed you'll get there in no time! Be safe!
Ha ha.... Right.... Thanks for watching.
Good idea to get u a bungie strap and loop around the hoses and hook it on front of reefer…. To keep the slack up and might help down the road
Nice. Thanks for the tip. Definitely will do that.
Nice job resetting your self. Don’t worry about the pull ups. You’re still in service. Those Freighliners have a fast turn base so don’t over steer when your turning the wheel to the right don’t hold turn to long.Petes & KW TAKE A LONG TURN JUST A MATTER OF PREFERENCE. I really don’t mind international my first job was FFE IN BURLINGTON NJ. Tithe only problem was the couldn’t me a truck I went to Schuster companies in La Mars IA you will have more than enough time to make pickup @ dliveries. . Your home time will always be on point. Bonuses are super easy the only reson im off the road is due to my 2nd heart attack in June. I planned on retiring from Schuster. After your year is up make a move. And stay away from lease purchase
Thanks for the support. Yes, as you can see. Overcorrecting is still an issue.
swift is down over 4,000 trucks from 18,000 down to about 13,000, recession, Prime down over 800 trucks, all companies down sized, kllm is also down, i check the FMSCA Scores, shows amount there and safety scores, started slowing last year left the field in April last year waited 3 days no loads i said I'm done, don't work no more Retired, trucking will not pickup for another year,
Thanks for the comment and stopping by. Sorry you didn't get to go out with a bang. But happy retirement Dave.
I finished the online orientation and did my drug scan/ physical Monday , what's next? lol
Did you get an offer letter for the class?
Never seen that happened in thirty two
They told me over the phone they haven’t done the lease purchase program in 6 months unfortunately… bc I really wanna do their lease to own option done with the company side man…
Yeah. Doug told me to check back next week. Fingers crossed.
had all kinds of things happen to me but never that,
Yeah. Freaked me out a bit.
Been trying to get on with them :( said they have a hiring freeze no orientation.
Keep trying. It will open up soon.
@@stevesliff I call once a week. Same answer waiting on trucks. Would like to go solo. Currently at a team company.
I got a call from a FFE recruiter this week.
@@timothykeith1367 Sweet! Let us know what you decide.
@@timothykeith1367 what did they say?
I start in August
Awesome! Keep us posted on your progress! Thanks for coming by.
I had got the offer letter but didn’t hear anything back for the last 2 months
Keep pushing man. It will happen.
Jesus do you have to insert clips every 5 seconds
You said you haven’t had a check under a grand. I was wondering was that net or gross?
That's Net take home after taxes.
@@stevesliff can you do a pay stub reveal… show us how much you have grossed and netted so far YTD? That would be real helpful. Then I can compare my YTD to yours and that would super help me determine if the difference is worth the Career transition for me. 🙏
Do you lease or company do you now how much a lease driver makes at kllm
Leasing is on hold as well. Waiting on numbers and will post!
You run all 48 states
@@philiphubbard KLLM does, I usually stay in the midwest, south and west.
I would want all 48 as a lease driver
Steve how is the truck on fuel and can you fuel were you want to
How does FFE differ from KLLM? I believe FFE is all reefer. What about hometime differences?
FFE drivers deliver terminal to terminal throughout the country. KLLM drivers deliver customer to customer if that makes sense.
@@stevesliffonly linehaul FFE drivers go terminal to terminal. Regional and local picks up and delivers at customers . I used to drive regional for FFE out of Memphis
FFE is LTL reefer and kllm is FTL …..as far as hometime linehaul (otr) is typically out 2/3 weeks and regional is out a week plus home a couple day through the week depending on location
KLLM is putting driver facing camera in all trucks.
Have not heard that one.
@@stevesliff they are looking to take the dope heads and youtuber out of the trucks.
😂😂 I know exactly where this is at.
Not one of my favs. LOL
@@stevesliff yeah, it's the fact that there is zero parking available except street parking. Also, always get the door next to the fence and telephone pole in front. Smh. Wolverine packing isn't much better
But wait...Biden tells us the economy is great?
Bidenomics. Benefiting everyone. lol.. Thanks for stopping by.
Best economy since the Carter administration!
What the heck you do
They think the bracket holder broke and sent the hoses into the wheels.
Crazy ,,, glad you were ok
