I love the gold top he is playing! Great, great band!!!!!!!! Blur was on that show too, doing Park life. Good times

They probably did it because they like the song! And they put their own twist on it which is nice. It's not perfect or polished but live rock and roll shouldn't be
I like this remake. I'm a fan of Tom Petty, and Everclear both. But my favorite remake made by Everclear is "Bad Connection", I actually like it better than the origonal.

yeah. nirvana was bigger at the time.but there sound was alot heavyer then everclear. i mean Art just wrote such great songs that only a person that grew up like him could write. but his meladys where out of this world jsut nice fun music. but if you jsut want soemthing to rock out to nirvana is your ticket
The studio version of this is a lot tighter. It's from an 199's compilation called "You Got Lucky: a Tribute to Tom Petty" with a bunch of old-school indie/alt rock bands doing Petty songs. I uploaded Silkworm's version of "Insider" which blows away the original, but then again, I don't really like Stevie Nicks' vocals on it.

im just giving my honest opinion, i believe that this version is horrible, you might think something else and thats good for you, Tom Petty sings this great though, but still MY OPINION
