    Tried the steak Diane for the first time. Never made it before, nor have I eaten it. It was the most amazing thing I ever had! Thank you for posting these cooking videos, my confidence in the kitchen is much better!!

    Love the show guys! use to Chef around a bit many years ago. Newly single Dad, cooking gourmet for my boys. the old saying goes, you don't use it, you loose it. found your show and use it to help me re-learn the best techniques. we have made several of your dishes and love them all.     Steak Diane is one of the the dishes I most remember as a kid: flipping delicious! Thank you for showing me how to make classic that never will disappear. Delish Gonna have to make pilgrimage to New London soon!

    That butter is burnt, not brown. You need to start the steak with a neutral oil that has a high smoke point.

    Jack, it looks like you move the steak through the caramelized bits stuck to the bottom of the pan preventing them from burning... great technique.

    Going to do a Prime rib eye and eggs today for the new rescue dog and me....here in the Dallas area, yes to outside cooking, indirect cook, then a hot charcoal sear, both sides for ultimate flavor....Peace ✌️

    Tasty looking dish, Jack, but where's the garlic and Worcestershire sauce? I don't have mushrooms in mine, either, but some lightly browned ones could go nicely. Might have to give them a try. Love the way you cook though, nice and simple. Thanks for what you do.

    I priced those little baby purple onions (shallots?) at walmart the other night. A handful was the same price as a big bag of onions. I had to pass on that for now. But I did buy a loose purple onion for sixty cents and a bag of green onions for fifty cents. I'm not good enough for shallots yet.

    I love this guy because he cook fresh, but!
    Dishes that come out from the cook should always look vibrant colorful and appetizing and not just taste good
    Add the green onion as a tasteful garnish at the end.
