I could ponder for a good while about how Dan must wonder at his path since wandering into laLande maybe 5 years ago (?) to apply for work as a very part time Gardener. We know he had ambition, moved to France for a better life renovating a tumble down tiny country bakery/ farm house for his family. We know he had his chef skills but how could he have ever envisioned his love affair with camera & drone to the point now where he has us truly believing that another pile of rubble sprouting trees in every direction is actually becoming a renewed Chateau with a new life of it's own & for his boys, even possibly becoming another living hive, poosibly nurturing many lives as laLande and Stephanie have done. Then think of all the other lives so beautifully transformed by the Stephanie's influence, help, & or encouragement; other new Chateau owners, artists, our wonderful staff of marvelous people coming together from around the world to make up the wonderful little world of la Lande.
Here's me, half a world away also enchanted and diverted from the horror of a pandemic to small donor Patron watching all this life evolve. I'm thrilled for all involved and very grateful to have an opportunity to step away from my ordinary life to still believe in fairytales for those willing to work extraordinarily hard & with luck & talent to build a better life. My best wishes for all, now especially Percy.
The community of family and friends that is shown here is the reason I watch with such a warm heart!
This was like watching a much happier Downton Abbey staff running around, entering and exiting scenes, preparing for the guests' arrival. You guys are literally the best! The beautiful Lalande family!
I love that Lalande surrounds herself with a group of wonderful people to help her flourish . An ever-changing group with Stephanie at the core. If you had asked Nick to picture himself leading a group of people around the forest chatting about his plans a year or so ago I can imagine his reaction. Nick too has flourished. Lalande gives back to those who help her
Totally agree and Lalande gives back. Look how Pavlina has been given a job and a home and Marie has come back after a difficult time. Dan would probably not have his chateau if it was not for Lalande and would have struggled when he split from Annalise.
It’s such a cool, loving, helping community at the chateau. It’s so fun watching so many people from different backgrounds and from different places in the world come together to care for such a beautiful spot. We need more of this in the world!

@@CarolChillsCasually It's a bit like a commune ...but without the same fiscal model. That is, I assume people get paid for their services. It is rather astounding how so many young people seem to be happily working at their tasks without complaint or grumpiness. Stephanie is such a supercharged positive person, it just seems to spin off her aura onto everyone else. But then I suppose only people that have 'caught the vision' are attracted to working and living there. It's almost an ideal community of creativity/artistry, and mutual respect ...and even love. 💗💕💓

If you love this type of stuff you will work for free. I’ve always wanted to live on a commune. I think working and living and being free and just living off what you have is fun. This is so different. There’s also history to it.
I think I’ve only heard of one person not liking being there. But everyone else is one the same page. Vibing. Living life. Love to watch it

I got choked up watching you LaLanders put your best foot forward and watching the patrons eyes & ears taking everything in, nibbling the food. They must feel it’s some of the best money they’ve ever spent. Your gratitude for them seemed to be beaming straight out of your hearts.
I was just thinking at the end of your last patreon day we heard our dear Queen had passed away and we were all in shock. Although we are all sad Mummy and Percy aren’t able to be with you, I’m sure they were with you in spirit. It looks like it was a fabulous couple of days. The fact there were so many people there just shows all the “naysayers” just how lovely you really are and how much it all means to all of us. Well done everyone.

When I was a child I was taught never to look at the piano keys as I played. After watching Maria look at the keys during her spectacular performance, I was clearly doing it wrong! What a talented team of exceptional people treating the patrons to an unforgettable day! 🌸🌸🌸💪
I think mostly beginners are taught that, because they will look at the keys so much, that they will forget to look at the notes and have to find the right spot again. But when you know the piece and can judge where you are in the notes, you can look anywhere you want I guess 😅

If I didn't know, I would have thought Dan's filming and editing was done by a whole crew of film professionals! Marie is Lalande’s diamond. She turns out amazing gourmet meals, knows her way around the garden, is practical and reasons her way through anything thrown at her. But, when she sits down at the piano, I melt. Never want the music to stop.

This day is such a LaLande way to thank the patrons. You always create for others the joy they bring to you. It was wonderful to have each person we've come to love sharing their unique life with us. Perfection would have been to have Percy and Isabelle there, of course. We are praying for Your mercy to fully recover. They add much to the LaLande experience. I was emotional watching today, seeing patron day without your mom and Percy. But... Great to see your aunt and uncle, Jerry and all the other contributors including Michael.... Vivian and Sarah ect.also Thor and pea chick... All was beautiful
Maria’s playing was sublime. The food and table settings were wonderful d the garden behaved itself beautifully and put on a lovely show. Dan’s photography talents were really on display. Marie your flowers were gorgeous.
Wow! Watching this channel grow since Lockdown has been such a beautiful thing to see. Going back to rewatch the beginning of this channels vlogs and noticing the many amazing countless changes through the years is always astounding! It also is a beautiful thing to watch all of the people that work with Stephanie at la Lande bloom and grow such as Dan, Dave, Michael, Pavlina, Stephanie, Phillip and so many many other amazing humans that we’ve come to know on this channel!
I don’t think Stephanie realizes she changed hundreds of thousands of peoples outlook on life with her sunny disposition, her endless love and joy for la Lande, her grace for handling heartbreaking news while still being positive and her boundless love for her adopted homeland. I truly believe if given the job Stephanie with the help of the Chateau de la Lande team could teach humanity and the world that we need to nurture, love and support each other not tear each other down. What a relief to not have any issues with the weather like last year. Everyone looking so calm and collected. So nice to see all the La Lande players doing their parts. What a perfectly perfect day. Glad Dan could take a day off away from his Chateau, he needed a break. Miss Percy and Mummy but Marie's Piano piece was just a perfect tribute.

However, there are days when we know he’s working on something dangerous, we anxiously wait for his vlog, and get very nervous if he’s late. Or, when he’s helping with videos for the LaLande Patreon celebration, we miss him entirely! Thankfully, he warned us that he would miss a vlog posting. Very dedicated followers.

I think Stephanie has an excellent way of blurring the lines! She makes people, who have never met her, Feel like they have! I know that I Feel like I know her, even though I Know that she doesn't put everything out there. She manages to make it feel like she does. Two other channels I watch had a main person disappear, yet they act as if they were never there. Stephanie makes people feel as if they matter!❤

Stephanie now has Philip but before that there was Michael Potts and friends such as Oliver Strong and the elusive Nick all of whom have been friends for many years. My heart is truly warmed by what has unfolded at Lalande over the last nearly 4 years since I first met Stephanie online. I thought what an enormously beautiful estate and chateau, and, also, what a tremendous task ahead for Stephanie. I came to know you when we were all preparing to strengthen ourselves and while you forged ahead, creating community, we were by your side and rooting for you. Love has grown from many seeds. And, DAN THE MAN! has exceeded himself. What a keen observer Dan is, taking in all the details with every sense, named and unnamed. He sees Lalande through Stephanie’s eyes and more. Dan’s video has got to be the most beautiful video of Lalande that I have seen yet and I’ve seen everyone. The other person missing from this video was Michael, of course. 💕💕💕
Yes, I wonder what happened to Michael Petherick. It seemed he was starting to post videos again on his Doing It Ourselves channel, putting in windows in his cottage, putting in a lovely flower garden and he and Florin started the project of refurbishing the greenhouse. Then, he just completely vanished again, without a peep. And not even making it to Lalande for ages and ages. His brother Billy is doing a lot and I enjoy Life Of Ryan, one of his good friends.
Yes lovely Michael Pethrick, wish he were here adding his multi talented self to the festivities. Michael is restoring the greenhouse at the Chateau, can’t wait to see the finished product as he also created the lovely flower garden with his darling Mum.
Michael is also doing a huge wall covering project with a company in London. I have loved those vlogs. Billy also started to do two more rooms in their Chateau, so one day, they may have a B&B in the chateau. ❤ I hope Michael will finish the cottage and give us a tour. I also love his paintings.
