Who else would buy Maria’s cook book from Chateau De La Lande? Maria is so talented, as not only creating, the most absolutely stunning meals for the guests who visit Chateau De La Lande, but is also an amazing pianist… she truly is Stephanie and Phillip, a treasure 🙂
@@purplehaze5977 not all from Marie, I think one recipe from each person, like Selmar's apple pie, Michael Pots' bread, the other Michael's lasagna, Phillip's garlic bread, etc
This video of the church is amazing! The music is always spot on! How do you do it, Stephanie? I have grown to love Chateau de Lalande as much as you all do! I agree with you, Stephanie that the pews were meant to be!! Love from Louisiana, Au Revoir!!
I love all your videos, but especially ones like this, that introduce places and their histories, and how they sometimes relate to Lalande. Also enjoy the daily life and renovation updates. Thank-you!
Hmm, I don’t know but with these unseasonably heat record’s happening here in the PNW -Washington state. The weather talk is a common theme. Everyday. ☀️
Totally! Feels like every phone conversation with family....no matter what province they're in, you will always be asked, what's the weather doin there?
Friends often mention the weather to each other because it affects your day so much. It also helps us understand what it feels like there more then video alone can do.
The beautiful restoration of LaLand’s St. Joseph’s Chapel is so encouraging now by seeing this Chapel today. I can’t wait to see the beautiful roof stars and the main painting renewed to their former glory.👏🎨✝️❤️
Preserving and restoring old buildings is so important to our history and appreciating why & what we have in life. I’m so happy to see you working so hard to save Lalande’s chapel, as well as showcasing this beautiful 1000 year old church. It broke my heart recently to see the old church demolished near the Petherick’s chateau. When you see the huge costs that custodians are up against, you can see why so many give up instead of trying to save these architectural gems like you are. Thank you!
God has his hand on LaLande chapel most definitely. I hope more restoration personnel is trained up and more churches are preserved. Keep giving the weather I love it! The table cloth is epic Barbra Cartland lives on😂
Well, traveling through the historic chapel, complete with choir and bells was like going to church. How calming and beautiful. The paintings are stunning. I'm so excited to see St. Joseph's Chapel completed.
My husband was a weatherman in the Coast Guard, so, a weather report in the morning is pretty normal for me but yours are extra special, followed by adventures of extreme fun! Thank you for bringing us into your world! Warm wishes from a cold, wet Juneau, Alaska ❤
Your enthusiasm for the restoration of LaLande’s chapel is contagious. Wonderful to see the ancient church and some of the areas that have been restored. As always, dinner looked delicious and the table setting was beautiful. Thank you Stephanie.🙏❤️
I love your aunt! and so nice for the two of you to spend some quality time alone together :) Also love the table cloth - yes very Barbara Cartland! What a great synchronicity with the pews for the chapel. Definitely meant to be. Also lvoely to see Michael Potts back. He is such a lovely man.
So interesting to see how the chapel can be restored. What a beautiful church too! An amazing coincidence re where your pews came from. It’s meant to be. ❤
Having seen the restored chapels in the church (thanks to your filming skills), I’m so excited for you, Stephanie, for when the work will be undertaken at LaLande. It’ll be stunning! And what a coincidence over the pews…as you say, “it’s meant to be” 🎉 🙏🏻
It's been awhile since I visited, and I am eager to see the restoration of your chapel. It is no accident, indeed, that you found those pews. May the Peace and Presence of God be there. I personally believe God is everywhere, but I also believe He acknowledges our efforts to pay Him homage, and the Chapel does that. It is man's song to heaven:)
Really enjoyed your weather introduction. :) The tour of the church built so much like Lalande's chapel was moving and inspiring. It must be very reassuring knowing the artisans who will be working on your Chapel are so proficient. Adore gregorian chants. They always ease my soul. Thank you for including them. As always, seeing your Aunt, Uncle, and Mr. Potts, is a treat. Sending all good wishes to Percy and Isabelle, and comfort to you. All the best to the Lalande family.
Oh yes, yes, yes, we must restore and save all the paintings at the chapel. Sign me up, I am supporting the chapel project. Grateful that you appreciate the treasure of the chapel. Love how the Chapel is tied in with the college, meant to be indeed. Hugs and sending positive vibes. ❤
That was so lovely - the connection with the chapels is glorious for you. And for us as we get to watch the amazing transformation as it happens. Phillip, your tables leave me quite speechless. They are that beautiful. And now, I’m going to eat my dinner on a tray. Lol. ❤️
The restored chapel of St.Joseph got me all choked up. Cannot imagine the emotional effect of the restored Lalande chapel. So happy you are restoring your chapel. Wouldn't it be nice of communities would have committees or a person who monitored and maintained their chapels? Perhaps fewer would be lost. Here in the US I have also seen many churches where the original beautiful painting was painted over. So sad... You are bringing worldwide awareness to this so...Thank you1
I was great to see you and your Aunt out having fun together! Beautiful church and music to go with it. Stephanie your tablecloth is very pretty and will be lovely with the right setting. 🦋
Stephanie, the courtyard at LaLande is more beautiful each time I see it. What a difference since the first time I saw it just a few years ago. You must be very proud. Love the plans for the restoration to the chapel. You have been a great asset to carry out this wonderful mission. The angels are truly singing your praises, I have no doubt. I continue to pray for the restoration of Percy’s health and your mother as well. I truly enjoy your Aunt’s glorious sense of humor and her bubbly personality. You are truly blessed…watching still from PA, USA.
Hi all. Stephanie thank you for showing us the church that you visited, the renovation is spectacular. Just imagine your little chapel will look like that one day, it will be amazing xxx
Ok, this might be controversial... But since the diningroom is now in the old entrance hall, then I think it would be appropriate to also move the gorgeous chandelier from Anders in there. Imagine all those crystals, sparkling in the new diningroom 😁 The olivegreen one, that is there now, is beautiful. But it is just way too small for the rooms new function... And actually, the other one is too big for the red room, since it is no longer above a dining table... I know, that the olivegreen one was bought for that room, but I am sure it will fit perfectly somewhere else 😊
I'm religious and have loved Notre Dame since I was a child and watched The Hunchback of Notre Dame ...and then the Disney version which I watched with my daughter when she was a child. I was raised Catholic, studied Buddhism and Hinduism, and that enriches my Christianity. The overlays of centuries of multiple religious devotions on the island of Java, where I spent part of my youth, made me aware there is so much reverence for ancient temples, pagodas, and stupas that are so in need of preservation and repair ...it is the provenance of humanity! I am thrilled Notre Dame is being restored to (almost) its former glory and the great catastrophe is being rectified! Bravo to Stephanie for valuing the history of La Lande's Chapel and its original paintings. I wonder if she has original photos of the chapel before those paintings were lost. Will she try to restore even the lost paintings and motifs? I know an incredible Romanian painter who studied in Italy and France, who paints Christian Saints and Angels, Eastern Buddhas, and Greek and Roman gods and goddesses. His name is Marius Michael-George.
Stephanie is adorable. I love the weather casting. Btw the court yard look magnificent. I love her aunt, and Stephanie French is beyond elegant. But she is French and she is British as well. What a great combination.

Now, I am very excited to see the chapel at Lalande repaired. The repairs in the other church are magnificent. Maria, your dishes are so artful and look and sound delicious. ❤
Bonjour, I gew up in France so I wanted to share the tablecloth, with the roses that you bought, was common 50 years ago in France. The one you bought might have been made more recently but the motif is the same. People used that type of tablecloth every day but if they had company over they changed to a nicer one. Seeing the cloth reminded me of my childhood. Thank you for showing the inside of the church. It's wonderful they will restore you chapel. Take care.
