- On todays episode we highlight Abdul's 800WHP AWD Mazda Speed 6, this car might just be one of the most sleeper and underrated platforms we've seen! Before this shoot we would have never guessed this car is an absolute weapon on the street, Abdul spent the past 4 years transforming this car into the ultimate sleeper. It's running a built engine using Manley performance products, FACTORY Trans/drivetrain, fuel system upgrades using a mix of 93 oct and race fuel, and other basic supporting modifications. Abdul is so humble, you guys wouldn't believe it. I've spoken with him on a couple occasions when I used to have a Speed6. The car comes STOCK with an AWD Turbo set up and 6spd manual. You can buy them for almost nothing. But if you take the time to build it right, well.. these are the results! #Sloazz6, bravo sir! Seeing your MS6 makes me miss mine so much! Im having fun with my Sti, but you just can't beat that sleeper status! Fantastic work man!
They suffer from the AWD tax up here... they are not cheap or they are beat up. I honestly don't see these as sleepers but that's mostly due to the fact loud ass cars around here are usually built. We don't have a lot of ricers around here so it's usually safe to bet that the other car is quick.
If it was an estate I would buy it in a heartbeat, need it for my dawg.

And the speed 6 is awd rather then the fwd speed 3 laying downn power to all four having decently good grip.

i own a mazda 6 mps myself which is like the european verion of the mazdaspeed 6 but mine is bone stock, currently i'm waiting on a few deliveries for parts, changing the turbo because the stock one is pretty bad as i've heard and replacing it with a CST4 turbo it's a bolt the other parts are break discs and calipers and a new exhaust system and i'm so excited, it's like getting a early christmas present.

Mazda makes great transmissions tbh. Had a buddy that ls3 swapped his NB miata and it was running on the stock trans. He ran it that way for about 2 1/2 years before he shattered first on a launch

@@bobandtay7139 great thing about ls motors, you can adapt literally anything you want to it. Someone somewhere makes an adapter plate.
LS engines have adapter plates for many transmissions. Here’s a common one that would make you scratch your head. LS engine to a 350z trans. Lol
@@Ziggysdankgenetics doesn't really cause me to scratch my head whatsoever. I've seen lots of 350z w/ls swaps. So it's completely understandable that someone would make an adapter plate for that application. You're gonna have to try a lot harder then that to make enthusiasts scratch their heads.

I drove a speed3 for 14 years with zero problems from the engine or trans. Never had to replace the clutch. I have to say it's such an underrated engine.

@@jakejackson8395 OTS tunes are trash and not configured to your specific mods. Freektune or Purple Drank are very common and knowledgeable tuners in the game. If you are in or around NJ you can get Nishan to dyno it. Have fun and safe driving bro!

I'm working with a stock 08 2.3 fwd and got it for a good deal in great condition. Thought I'd get creative such as my man here and see what I could do to bring my own creative wit to it. I am an auto tech out of South Seattle College so it's not like I'm just someone out there watching UA-cam videos trying to make it happen. I have the know how and have yet to put a "real" project together other than just wrenching. This here's gives me a whole lot more inspiration now to see what can be done with just stock alone. Wow!, Right on Brotha man!! Keep up the excellent tuning!!! You've brought a whole to the game and im sure many have sought you out just to have you assist them, get pointers, and anything else relating to what you have managed to accomplish. Savage build, total sleeper, also it is not "backfire" which is very bad, it is afterfire.
its a result of the additional port injection.
ACTUALLY it’s a result of his wotbox.you could wire it up on stock turbo if u wanted to and you’d get the “afterfire”. when he flat foot shifts, a wotbox will cut spark instead of fuel. so basically you run a little rich in between shifts and that extra fuel causes the pops/ fire. you run a wotbox because then you don’t run a risk of running lean

OuijaSTi stock trans has been 9s multiple times the sleeve is still uncharted territory 700s is the easy norm but 800 not many have gone close to there for good data
Not really. Im not impressed by anyone saying stock this or that like its an achievement. Its nothing to say. Why say it at all. No one cares what is stock or not. All we care about is times and numbers. It is a nice car although, Ive always loved the speed 6 far more then the speed 3.

My starter car was a newish Mazda3 hatchback of this same model year with the 2.3. Perfect amount of fun and performance for a 16 year old. I was blessed to be able to experience that without getting in trouble. I was always on the lookout for Mazdaspeed 6 and 3's. Abdul built a little monster here. This thing is the sickest Speed6 I've ever seen. In like 2010, people were putting down like 400whp with these tops. This is fastest, no question. The guy can shift too. Making Mazda proud.

I love this car, and my own. I have a 06 Speed6 in the same color. Its a real sleeper an excellent car and extremely comfortable. Unfortunately I dont have anything done to mine yet but its in the plans hopefully next year.
I have a 2007 Speed6. They are bigger sleepers stock, because there is literally no cues to show it is a performance car

Wow my husband had a few Mazdaspeed 6's and 3's. They were fun. I remember him saying that he had to put diesel oil in the cars if you didn't they would blow up.
Thats because he had no idea of how to tune them..
Diesel oil lasts longer then regular oil when contaminated with fuel...

The Mazdaspeed 6's were 06 and 07. Found out if they were modified that you couldn't return to stock but if it was stock leave it alone. Have a friend that has a 06 with a 2013 motor in it.
