Jon: "put the pitchfork down, it gives a bad first impression" Jon a couple minutes earlier: *points a gun at the first person because his vehicle is green*
The car was green, Jon had just cause to point a gun. If the driver didn't want a gun pointed at them, they shouldn't have driven that car. It's all fine.
That tiny red car is quite well made model of actual, real life Fiat 126. Those made in People's Republic of Poland were called Fiat 126p. And quite a few of them were exported to UK
I hope this make it to a live stream - lots of fun watching Jon missing big things: like the tower on top of the main building with his new sniper. Nice one ;)
6:00 Jon that is a real Polish Fiat126p, comonnly called "Little One" :) And it has engine in te back, and the cargo space under the hood (or bonnet). So he could have been smuggling something!
I've played it quite a bit, and I really enjoyed it. Those with extensive knowledge of the Cold War and the fairly ridiculous nature of the Eastern Bloc states will get some extra enjoyment out of the easter eggs (with a fair amount of "ooh, it really was like that though"). You might want to go ahead and play it yourself.
Jon, when you were searching for the guy you hired, did you check the tower on top of your office/jail? Also please do some more of this, I think it could make for a fun livestream.
Jon… I think the pitchfork is for stabbing piles of stuff, like that gravel you were suspicious of but couldn’t unpack. Also the way those people take their passports out of their pockets makes me nervous. Every time they do it it looks like they’re pulling out a weapon.
I assume the people you only got partial points for turning away may have had something squirreled away that you missed because you didn't do a full sweep with the blacklight...
The three things that I spotted in the video that Jon missed: 13:17 - Wrong name on the cargo shipping list compared with the passport and ID. 17:30 - Expired date on passport. 34:31 - Contraband - for the briefest of seconds, you can see the prompt come up as he's searching in the boot at this timecode. I actually think Jon did pretty well, he didn't miss anything massive and obvious.
Heh, that cure small car you liked, that looks like Fiat 126. We used to have a lot of them in Poland (126p variant)! Their nickname was "the toddler". They also have their cargo in the front!
Making this a main comment as well: The three things that I spotted in the video that Jon missed: 13:17 - Wrong name on the cargo shipping list compared with the passport and ID. 17:30 - Expired date on passport. 34:31 - Contraband - for the briefest of seconds, you can see the prompt come up as he's searching in the boot at this timecode. John: "how dare you try to smuggle in 10 cartons of cigarettes! To the Gulag!" Also John: "oh, you're a trader? Would you like to buy things from the evidence locker?"
When I notice Jon missing something (Kumar/Kudar Imanaliev at 17:30) that he doesn't pick up on later I am reminded how glad we should all be that Jon is not in charge of anything remotely important in the real world. At least this time around Jon got partial credit for not letting him in.
06:02 when were you born, 2017? That's their version of the Yugo, and they were quite popular in the UK among poor people, who would then do things like fit aftermarket spoilers on them too. The vehicles are really well done in this one for East European models with different names. 13:44 different name on the cargo list.
If you were to continue this I'd suggest trying splitting what you find 50/50 between what you keep to sell and turn in. See if the turn in gets you promoted faster.
6:00 Prety good reprezentation of Fiat 126. Vhen I was a little girl we had a lot of those roling around here in Croatia. We called it 'Peglica'. Havent seen one in decades tho.
When you transport a load of gravel, you really should use the biggest vehicle possible to move the most gravel possible. The difference between a small load and an exorbitantly massive load is a very small price, only a small percentage of the initial cost of getting a vehicle to transport gravel in the first place. It's basically like this; You are already paying for a drivers wages - you are also already burning a lot of fuel to move the vehicle along with the gravel. The gravel itself is only one of many up front costs, but it is the only cost to significantly go up when you decide to deliver more. Better value for your dollar, essentially.
I'm perplexed... Why are you opening their door immediately? Their rolling down the window and giving the papers through it. And I'm sure you're not allowed as a border check officer
I looked at this myself but decided against it because I thought it was just Papers please in 3D, Still not my type of game but a lot better than I thought. Really hope for a livestream of this might convince me to give it a go.
There's so much more than Papers Please. Gun fights, car chases, and quite a few Cold War easter eggs, if you can recognize them. Murder mysteries too.
@reliantncc1864 That's why I hope for a livesteam. It's one of them games I can't justify paying out for at the moment, so I want to see more before I can make that choice. Unfortunately, until I get monetised some games, I just have to say sorry you're too big of a risk at the moment, and this is one of them.
22:45 Dude is just rolling down the window to speak and Jon rips the door open
I love that every driver is trying to roll down the window but Jon always open the door.
Border guard power move.
Yes, please continue!
You hired a sniper Jon. Look up!
The picture is of a tower after all
Jon's perception is -1
He just dropped his Glasses of +10 Perception, he still found the doors

Tony the nugget

Yugoslav Zastava made a few too, we call them "peglica" (little iron). Adorable cars.

That's because Jon is about as perceptive as a wombat who's got his head stuck in mud! LOL I definitely agree on the live stream of this game.
Live stream ♥️
Sign me up for more of this. I'm actually fairly impressed with how much they fleshed this out behind the guises of 3D Papers Please.
Love the way Jon's moral compass describes a sinewave all the way through this.
6:00 Jon that is a real Polish Fiat126p, comonnly called "Little One" :) And it has engine in te back, and the cargo space under the hood (or bonnet). So he could have been smuggling something!
Ah, Jon and a game about passing perception checks. A match made in heaven.
I honestly expected a lot more mistakes.
@@TheAbstruseOne He missed the driver's seat in the first yellow car with other stuff in it
@@Ethrianor There's also five frames at 34:31 which shows an additional bit of contraband he missed.
The description Jon gave for this makes me love this game already. I already know Jon is going to make this very entertaining to watch.

That giant, glowing, yellow, floating exclamation mark that was constantly being ignored gave me an unreasonable amount of anxiety.
Jon, when you were searching for the guy you hired, did you check the tower on top of your office/jail?
Also please do some more of this, I think it could make for a fun livestream.
To be fair, even to Jon's -1 Perception, the game didn't exactly make it obvious where the guy would be when hired.
@@Foxtrot369 True although I'm sure Jon made the comment about the guy being in a tower or something.
I love how polite Jon is despite being a police officer in an authoritarian nation. That contrast makes it even funnier
I personally would be concerned at a border checkpoint if the agent suddenly said "ohhhh, I've been promoted"
The car models are so well made, I'm actually impressed. Many familiar sights
"It's not a crime to, you know, point a gun at him just for fun." Oh, Jon... *sigh*

I wonder if that’s actually a feature in the game when it could sometimes not be their passports.
