How about that cordite? Gotta get me some!!!
CORDITE!
CORDITE!!
CORDITE!!!
LMAO!!
Orks have primitive weapons but not that primitive ... ~*#?
_"Irreplaceable dent"_ 🧐
🥺That bothered me way more and *far* longer than it should have and considerably more than a reference to good old cordite. 🤣
I like how the Orks honor worthy enemies in their own brutal way.
because they are simple creatures. all they literally ever wanna do is war. Lacking a lot of the human complexity, they probably don't grudge/view death as negative as humies. Some orkboy who gets killed simple went to meet gork and mork. Instead of some sort of eternal beef or hatred, the Orks fight with humies simply cause they want war. WIth who they don't care. Tau tyranids necrons, whoever. Long as there is war.
" Sir, you don't have the firepower! " ' But I have the mass. You're on your own, ground regiments. Admiral out. '
By my roots
The roots of my desire! 🎃
The old FW Imperial armor campaign expansion books were mint, say what you will of 7th but the authors of FW really hit the narrative series out of the park. I had the most fun in that Ed with the narrative play mode using these books with my play group, using maps etc to represent each forces armies and key locations that included bonuses to the controlling team. 8th Ed onward have yet to capture the same charm as these books did, Warrick Kinrade was my favorite of the authors at the time and he makes great content now outside of FW.
Old lore for the win.
Elysian's where my Favorite , but FW made a mess out of them
Krieg were no better
I have never seen a model FW that didn't have major issue
The books and story Lore ? by far the best . It showed the people cared , unlike now
@@rodneygaul2227 Siege of Vrakks and Badab War are unmatched lorewise. I wish we could get more stuff like it, for Fantasy as well with The Old World. Tamurkhan, The Throne of Chaos is amazing for Fantasy and I can't wait to see that book properly implemented for Total War: Warhammer 3.
@@Seeric85 I'm glad the old world is coming back but I hope they use a different crew from 40k... it's starting to feel like GW is about to Endtimes 40k... I think thier just stretching it out more then when they killed warhammer fantasy
@@chalzen1012 True enough, I'm kinda unimpressed by some of the design decision the 40k crew has done recently. I don't think they will intentionally kill off 40k though, because it's their big flagship.

The cordite side bar got me 😂 but this was a great listen
How to trigger the border prince… cordite 😂
Excellent work as always sir. Thanks
Now I'm going down the cordite rabbit hole on Wikipedia.
It kind of makes sense orc guns would use cordite. I'm assuming there's a squig that makes nitric acid. Once you have the nitric acid all you need is cellulose, fungus doesn't have cellulose it has chitin instead, but it's very similar chemically.
So if you stuck a squig full of nitric acid, then forced it through a squig sized garlic press, plus orcy magic, you got "cordite" a decently "smokeless" accelerant.
If orcs ever brought black powder to a fight, nobody would be able to see anything at all. Plus it's a lot easier to work with than black powder, it's easier to make, easier to handle, and you don't have to keep it as dry.
Cordite seems very orcy indeed.
Plus black powder smoke is a strong laxative 😂
You are literally the reason I got into Warhammer
im sorry to do that to you lol
Bahahahaha
@@ABorderPrince 😂
Same here
I like how the raven gaurd basically just sat back and watched the imperial gaurd assault slow then stall then fail and basically just sat in their asses and let the orks win lmao.
Cordite is used in everything from cell phones to pancake batter. It's even inserted between toilet paper layers to make the clear 3rd inner layer.
I love it when I see a new AB Prince epic has been uploaded
Real shame we never got the Fires of Cyraxis imperial armor campaign book. Would have loved an imperial armor book about the Tau and Ad mech going head to head with both factions utilizing high tech weaponry and gear.
I have much tau stuff coming up
Imperial high command to inquisitor HB Prince
In the name of all members of imperial high command I thank you for your most valued reports of the recent events. These will allow us to better fight the scum, thats pressing the emperors glorious imperium on all fronts.
the emperor protects inquisitor
Don’t you love the smell of cordite in the morning? 😂
lol
Ah the greatest ork invention of all time. One to enrage even a lore master. Cordite.
Love the chemistry lesson interjections in this one! The cordite stuff is really funny
Love the compliment of Elysian drop troops and Raven Guard. Good tactics and maneuverability but they could not accomplish the mission objectives.
My favorite parts are when you're so taken aback by something that you can't help but interject. 😂
I find it absolutely hilarious that an ork is getting hit with an artillery bombardment and his only reaction is “hmm very good very good well done humies”
I love this channel and Arch's channel because they cover lesser known lore, and stuff that really helped flesh out the universe but gets no love anymore
Same, both are amazing content creators
Can't stand Arch, but ABP is great 😃👍
@@butHomeisNowhere___ why can't anyone who doesn't like Arch just not say anything......but just like a vegan you'll make sure we all know
@@cthulawha don't be triggered. 😬
@@cthulawha So if he likes Arch its ok to say it, but if not than he should shut up? U are one of those who like that the thumbs down are now invisible on youtube...
Arch is ok and has some good topics, but just seems like "that" guy who always has to have the last word in any discussion from a snarky "i know it better"-position, thus quite unlikeable, no problem with expressing that, everybody is free to watch what they want.
Hey man, know I'm late, but good luck with the kid man and congratulations
I really like how you do the ork parts. The “kicks” and shoving of his former comrades dead body to stash the teeth - I lol’d
Brilliant something to listen too in bed.....if I fall asleep though its a pain in my ass finding the last bit I remember before nodding off.
Worth it though love your work.
Hole your enjoying your new place brother and settling in well.
Recognisable. Especially on the longer stories. Tip: try set a timer on your UA-cam app so it shuts off after say 15-30 mins.
I do the same.. try to find what I last recall hearing. Bonus: I have some very strange dreams lol. Especially anything on Cadia and the Kreig (sp)
The cordite reference reminded me of a comment a world war historian made about the full sensory impact we miss out on. Cordite includes a lot of acetone, so the historian claimed that the air around a battle would burn your eyes a bit and smell somewhat like ketchup.
Cordite, diesel exhaust, hot asphalt, and burning trash. Mix those and you know what Iraq smelled like Its been 16 yes s as nice my last tour and I can still smell Baghdad. Cheers.
I love the brutality that comes with the Orks
Good to see you bp, thanks for the upload 😍
These campaign videos are my favorite on videos on UA-cam
Somehow the writers managed to perfectly depict the "Rambo Syndrome" many in high command fall prey too in their force calculations.
What is that?
@jestertheslacker5107 the Rambo Syndrome, is a belief in modern military/civilian higher ranked officers and commanders in government that special forces units or quick response forces are able to perform tasks generally believed impossible. This is laid at the feet of the movie first blood where Rambo is able to evade capture, defeat hundreds, and destroy a local HQ armed (at first but not for long) with only a knife
Yes! I was hoping you would do this one!
I really like a good Ork related story. Always some good action. As usual, Imperium Intelligence underestimating Ork numbers! Is it any wonder the Astra Militarum always get into a slug fest with Orks! Excellent story.
Love this guy. One of the best at his thing.
Thanks again!
So pissed at cordite!!! Lmfao🤣🤣🤣 and the descriptive use thereof!!!!! LMMFAO 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
SERIOUSLY, one of...... if not the best Orky story I've heard you do.....fantastic mate🤙
You’re a legend mate, as soon as I get through one of your FW read through a you release the next one. Helps me get my drop troops fix too.
Keep
Up the great work
.303 British used cordite at least up to after WWII. I know because I’ve got a Lee Enfield no.4, and bought a big box of.200 .303 from’47 for like 10 bucks, and I ended up tossing it because, besides from the primers being now incredibly unreliable and potentially dangerous, I got yelled at by a gunsmith “STOP SHOOTING THAT SHIT, THE BRITS STILL USED CORDITE AND ITS CORROSIVE TO YOUR BARREL!”
Easy to neutralise the corrosion though, sop was to pour boiling water down the bore to neutralise it
@@dbayles3677 that would flush it out good, wouldn't neutralize anything, but same effect of preventing acid corrosion. Make sure you dry and oil everything thoroughly afterwards.
bro where is that "you shall not faulter" audio from! love it more then anything
I think the Cordite references were to the Orc weapons actually "being" THAT primitive. Its like the Orcs were allowed Tier 1 of every tech tree available. If Cordite was easy to make? Da Orks gots it.
Just remember: there are no plotholes in 40K, only inaccurate writers
This is true! quite alot of inaccurate writers!
@@duppyman9025 and from a lore POV immaculate or embellished points of view

For the Emperor.
These are my favorite 40k videos on UA-cam hands down 🙏🏽 please never change sir !
Re-watching this while doing some garden work. The contrast between gardening in the nice weather and listening to a story about fighting off an Ork Waaaghhh! Is quite funny to me
Spoilers below
My thoughts on what went wrong:
1 Inadequate intelligence of the Ork presence led to the splitting of the Elysian forces.
2 commander of sword was injured early in the battle
3 Inadequate flight time for CAS at shield
4 use of strategic bombing and orbital strikes left as afterthought.
Recommendations
1 sword should have been made up of Space Marines.
2 Vulture gunships should have landed nearby (maybe at the fallback point with some of the forces from sword) to preserve fuel.
3 fuel tanks should have been flattened from orbit rather than surgical strike.
4 bombers should have been used to target the mek when they were located.
Who is to blame?
The Raven Guard - they were in charge of recon and it was sorely lacking.
Thanks for all these amazing videos, I just finished up the Badab war series you did
Ahhh Wake and Bake with a side of BorderPrince40k.
*WWWWWAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH and bake with a side of BorderPrince40k.
This guy knows where it's at....
Contraband !
Yea yea!!!
3rd shift here, so Home and Smoke with a side of royalty
Killed it. Always well done!
The Emperor has blessed us this day!
We still use weapons with cordite in today's military (Commonwealth nation aswell)
I love the elysians and I'd love to see a campaign that they aren't the kicking boys of forge world
Glorious work! Love your long form work ❤
Cordite is old, but not 18th century muskets old (muzzle loading muskets were still using black powder). The British army and Royal navy were still commonly using some forms of cordite right through ww2.
I feel that the best think the Imperial Guard could do, is for Yarrick and his fellow comissars to eliminate the commanders. For the leaderships incompetence is such that one could be forgiven for believing they had all fallen to chaos.
Thankyou bro for helping me in shite times I struggle sleeping and your story telling abilities are top notch x blessings g
They use teeth as ammo / currency and have infinite imagination powers if they want to use cordite they're going to use cordite
They don’t use teeth as ammo, how would that even work lol
@@ABorderPrince rather simple they dug out the internals of a Laz cartridge filled it with Humie teef but I'm not sure if I'm referencing fanfiction I have been wrong before
@@sudonpc-inputerror8999 lmao you are I think that’s not the life. They have very limited imagination. It’s more an instinct. They literally mushroom men
Love it! Always love campaigns focused on imperial guard
I wonder how long you can keep this going until the GWoverlords step in
Very fine, indeed. Appreciate your efforts.
Your lore videos are always a treat!
Love hearing about Orkz on the war path 👌
Thank you, just thank you!
WOOP WOOP! BP gifting us some fighty story time! Nobody leans into it like you my man. Verve! Passion! Waaagh!
... also, cordite is SUPER British, so fits 40k pretty well. Stopped using it around 1945, the end of the really big wars. So also pretty grim dark.
Ahh, the ability to pull of a well placed, "fu&kin cordite again!" Is really what we come here for.
Lol
To edit my original post
will remove the ♥️ from it. I am aware of the missing f.
The mad lad is back 🎉🎉🎉
Great narration to a really good imperial armour book.
Again with the cordite!
Excuse my ignorance but why is it infuriating that the orks use cordite? I thought they just kinda made their ammo from whatever explosive dust they could find though I'm not fully aware of what cordite is
Your comments about the cordite made me crack up xD
Exactly what i was thinking.
Fantastic work man, love it
Thank you , Prince of the Border .
🐺
Man i havent even finished this yet but its so good! Guardsmen vs orks are my fav combo cos you get some serious astra militarium action mixed with what evet the f the orks are up too. Always good for a laff
@ABORDER PRINCE Hahahaha dude 1:51:56 when you went off about the Kordanite! That was a good laugh.
Would love to see you and Baldermort collab. You both give off strong WH40k 'Verse vibes in how you deliver your lore telling.
Imagine Oculus Imperia, ABP, and Baldermort. That'd be an amazing video!
They have collabed in the past, theres some videos on baldy's channel.
Cordite lol - perhaps the Imperial phobia of tech innovation is manifesting in Devolution back to subpar propellant?
I like to think the guards so old school they're still firing muskets in some reginents :)
And indeed some are lol, forget what the name is but there's a short story about a guard unit that are using horse bows and spears
Headstrong playing in the background is the sugar on top of this stellar performance
The Emperor protects.
Thanks for the video.. I've seen your channel on the Audible site.. pretty cool.
Ahh, you can really smell the battle when listening to this. I'm painting a xorkanaut and this is the perfect inspiration!
Your reading was excellent as always, but I can't say I enjoyed this book very much..
You reading my terrible 40k short story would be awesome. Subscribed!
Love the videos, you do some great stuff, though I just wanted to mention cordite as a term, while cordite itself isn't used any more the term has been kept to reference most smokeless propellants since which is probably where the authors confusion arises from as there are many accounts of modern propellants being referred to as cordite even though they aren't the same thing
I love the idea that the Orks can make any old junk into a spacecraft and it will fly just because they believe it can. I'm pretty sure that if I take a dead microwave oven and a metal bedpost it won't become a Tesla how ever much I want it to!
Great read and great listen. Cheers
Always a great way to start the day
Damn you're good. First time here and I love it.
I was rootin for boyz, meks are my fav kind. Hope for more green stories.
Unleash the ultimate weapon. Cordite
Awesome, thanks 🙏. Cheers 😘
Good to hear you back, now back to book.
All the ramshackleness of the Orks and Cordite Powder is where we draw the line of believably? Lol love your content as always
Hell yeah I love your work
I’m pretty sure Cordite is still used in airbags
imperium again underestimating the Orks 🤯 the imperium needs an Ork specialist academy inspired by commissar yarrick…… especially the simple things like few Orks lower technology levels, Orks in waaaaagh numbers 😱😱😱😱😱 All Orks weapons systems might be unlocked.
The gift that keeps on giving
40:00 " I dunno why they are using cordite powder... that's a bit odd" LOL abp side comments
1:51:30 lol prince looses his mind about cordite
"Warlord Garrackhacks attacks Talloracks"😂
Gunpowder makes sense as it is a general name for most small arms propellant. The Cordite is either lack of knowledge or its one of those 40K things where they use old tech for some reason.
Orks use whatever works to kill faster most don't care about quality equipment so IDK why it bugs him either.
I love the smell of cordite smoke in the morning Xd
