Firefighters battle fire in Sheffield

Firefighters called to recycling centre fire in Sheffield
Firefighters are currently at a large fire on Warren Street, #Sheffield at a waste recycling centre.
South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said “The fire is creating a lot of smoke, so crews are asking people to avoid the area if possible. Also anyone living or working near by please keep your doors and windows closed.”
There are currently 5 appliances and a Aerial appliance on scene. The alarm was raised before 9am on Wednesday 23 August 2023. The fire is in a premises belonging to Biffa household recycling.
