South Oakland County Model Railroad Club Cab Ride

Ride along as a Grand Trunk Western freight train traverses the Holly Subdivision from Durand to Detroit at the South Oakland County Model Railroad Club. The SOCMRRC is a railroad club located in Hazel Park, Michigan that models the GTW Holly Subdivision circa 1950 - 1970 in HO scale. The layout consist of over 700 feet of mainline track and occupies a 1,500 square foot building.

I really enjoyed this video. It gave me great ideas for half buildings, signals tall and dwarf, scenery (keep it simple) backdrops and large and small sidings and main yard switching. Bravo job well done

Great ride! Finally someone had to wait till midnight to get one of these cab videos without 5 or 6 of the club members lounging around, talking indistinctly in the background as we are trying to enjoy the scenery and track work. I liked the signals a lot!
