YOu know. I am just finding the cab ride videos and they have some good ones i found already. but then you have the trains crossing each other in transit and such it just makes yours OVER THE TOP Great. that is something i was wanting to see in the others; was something happening on their other tracks while they filmed the cab ride. The cam train also having to be a functional part of a system, ya'll brought the layout to life in that one thing being added in. (maybe others have it but yours was first i found with this. ) Oh and living on the tracks between a port and the main-line southern pacific i love the way the trains themselves are set up in car types. sometimes it is Cars... sometimes it is Grain... sometimes it is Tankers. sometimes mixed. just really life like. I LOVE IT !!!
GREAT LAYOUT!!! I loved it...especially with multiple trains operating at once. Personally...I have NO problem with the train operators in the video!! I like to see the people responsible for the layout, and the person running the train. I know I'm in the minority on that opinion...but oh well!! Thanks for sharing your outstanding video, and great layout! I'll be back!
Great cabride. Thanks for the post. I believe this layout was featured in Model Railroader awhile back. You going to post more cabrides on different layouts in the future? Thumbs up and subscribe.
This looks like a very nice layout. My only criticism would be the speed of the train. Slow it down just a wee bit as cameras have a tendency to "speed things up." I have a friend who does layout videos for a hobby and has been as far west as California and south to Florida. His name is Bill Fagan. He has posted a number of videos of my two railroads over the past couple of years.
Scone's Grandson? Bwhahahahahaha! Scone probably is the one who looks like the "grandson" here, not the "grandfather" Its a live operating session, the people there are the invited guests who run the railroad. Other than Gary and his son Marty (who I am not sure if they even show up in the video) there really is no family relations between operators. Just a local gaggle of model railroaders holding an operating session.

Looks good!
Looks like fun.
This is a permanent layout; where is it located? Giant onlookers do tend to spoil the video, unfortunately.

Ben fatto! Molto realistico.
A giant push pin !
When videoing a cab ride video, try to stay out of view. Seeing big heads next to the track ruins the effect.
A+
The music has to go!
Was too loud.
I take back my first comment. This does not look like a nice railroad, it is a GREAT looking railroad!
+Bob Rule, Jr. The SLS is indeed a fascinating railroad! The speed might have been pushed a little, all to establish hotshot speed.
Scone Empire Awesome! Is this layout in Salt Lake City or in Utah somewhere?
Correct, it is indeed in the Salt Lake area.
Scone Empire thanks for the reply! I live here in the SLC area, do you folks offer tours of your layout?
Your head in the shot really makes this a downer. Try not including yourself next time.
Sorry. After 5 times of seeing you and your (grandson, nephew, neighbors kid?) had to bail.
