Why didn’t you unbridge the white and green ?
Probably didn't know he had to.
Any idea what the cotton/insulation in the back is for?
They set foam in for heat shield from going to walls and cabinets, same system with dishwashers
In that 4 prong installation - don't you have to remove the metal connecting the ground screw to the white wire?

Can I cut them off well the burners work like bypass
I wouldn't mess with that unless you have an electrician help out. It's alot of amps going to that. If you are talking about doing a direct connect without a plug . Than yes but have a pro do it

Plug in and it's done , only thing you need to setup is time
