Your own pace. As long as you can demonstrate that you mostly know what you're doing, and that you're mostly comfortable doing it, then you should be fine. I did it and passed after years and years of not going in a pool. I'm actually retaking it tomorrow because it was never inputed and I need it. Literally, the last time I was in a swimming pool was in 2014 (when I passed the last 2nd Class Swim Qual) lol.
@@CSD-Actual I guess it is. I don't remember doing it in like 2013 or 14. I literally just did it again right now. There is a back float after prone float. I don't think its really timed though. We did ours for seconds or until the instructor noticed (which ever came first I don't know) lol. Kinda no point in my opinion but whatever.
I passed my 2nd class swim test today. This video helped me big time. Mahalo and aloha
Just passed my qualification. Ty for the video 😃
Breaststroke is probably the easiest stroke(for me) but you must know how to properly perform it.
I'm practicing all of these not because I'm joining the Navy, but because I kind of suck at swimming and I want to get better lol
Remember passing the 2nd class swim test in this pool in Norfolk in 2006.
Awesome video can't wait to join the navy :)
Jake Phetteplace yes
Is this the same for the Marine Corps? Or just Navy?
+CyberBully This is for the Navy Diver Rate,ND3 looking to rank up to ND2 must pass this test. Rules are specific to ND Rate.
Future Marine here, I found this video very helpfull. made me understand the different types of strokes.🖒
With the Prones float, I thought you had to have your face underwater for five seconds then come up for a breath of air and repeat?
Darian Gutierrez 5 seconds equate to 12 breaths per minute. I do it for 5 seconds, so I don't feel uncomfortable.
what are the time requirements for each event?

@@ehal2303 well I know the dead float is 5 minutes. Is that the same for the back float that he does?
@@CSD-Actual Sorry, I didn't realize you were talking about prone/dead man's float. That part of test is 5 minutes long. The 4 strokes are not timed.
@@ehal2303 No worries man. So the back float part after the dead man float isn't required?

+Doomtrigger No, you just need 3rd class.
no
What's the music in the video
AW has to do this right?

How dangerous is it to be a Navy diver?
Alexis Lopez
What kind of shitty answer is that?
Maorawrath If you don't get it , you're not cut out for it.

I want to know WHY id be dying 200 feet under the waves. You're just throwing empty statements for no reason.

You're the same troll with a different account.
As a swimmer joining nrotc this should be easy
Swimming is a very little part of NROTC, it won’t correlate to almost anything you do in NROTC especially if you’re a marine option MIDN.
is the 50 yard swim for the 3rd class is freestyle?
any stroke you just saw.
can you kick off the wall on turns?
warnjes you don't kick off anything.
Yes
Isso me ajuda muito 😮👍
Nice pecs dude!
