Best investment i ever made. I dont have hat huge kick when the waste gates release but they kick in at around 2k rpm. The guys at Andys are beyond professional and friendly and yes thats my camaro. Thanks again Bill , i cant wait till the next transformation of her.
just to make this thing about turbo lag clear.. Turbo Lag: Turbo lag is what your throttle response is like when getting on and off the throttle while you're in boost. Turbo Threshold: The time it takes for you to get to boost after you hit the throttle is called turbo threshold.
Tuning is a big thing when it comes to turbo lag - Bigger turbos can spool quicker/at the same rate as a smaller twin setup with proper tuning (Which can be costly), but tuning a twin setup can be costly as well.
I wonder.. What if you had a TT setup where both turbos were different sizes i.e if one small turbo for low end and one big turbo for top end? and then tune each turbo individually or something? ... Still a great show guys.
Great vid as usual... Andy? (is that you btw?) just saying, you should maybe make a video of installing a turbo on a naturally aspirated car :) just a suggestion but i think it will be very handy for a lot of people!
Great video! I love all your videos even though they dont even apply to my car. Im wondering if you could do one on a remote entry or remote start system installation on your civic project car? It'd be awesome if you could LOOKING FORWARD TO MORE VIDEOS
How about offsetting the turbos, one small to reduce lag on the bottom end and one large to take over when the lag is gone? I have heard this done and is the Ideal situation...
You should if you're going to run any kind of boost. You could maybe get away with running 6-8 lbs of boost with stock internals but I wouldn't recommend it as you will wear everything much faster. You also would want to upgrade you're transmission instead of waiting for it to go because if it's still good you could sell it and get money out of it instead of scrap metal.
If instead of having one large turbo on a V engine you have two smaller turbos, i dont see why they would produce boost sooner, since each smaller turbo only gets exhaust flow from one bank.
What other components would be needed to run a turbo? I know I would need a bigger exhaust (which I will soon be purchasing for Andy's) and an aftermarket intercooler but is there anything else? Also, are turbos still effective with an automatic, because unfortunately I have one. Its a 2001 Honda Accord, V6
Hi,Andy! What do you think about turbocharging small engines like a Volkswagen 1.4 liter Fsi non turbo....it has 85 hp..can I add some extra 50-70 hp with installing turbocharger on it? Thanks.
I drive a 05 Is300 and i plan on turboing the vehicle. My main plan is to make the car run at 350hp and i was wondering what you guys consider to be the best option for this (have a 3k budget for this mod)
This is kind of how sequential turbos work, except the smaller turbo simply provides boost to the engine sooner instead of spooling up the larger turbo.
How much difference between twin scroll turbo vs twin turbo ? according to bmw a twin scroll turbocharger is capable of succeed a supercharger achieving zero lag an producing more power than twin turbo.
If you have a car that is turbo from the factory, and has forged internals ( runs 18-22 psi) if you wanted a slightly bigger one, would you still need to upgrade the internals ?

Thanks! Aside from cost differences, we can't say that one is better than other. They're both great when sized properly.

Andys Auto Sport is awesome!... I hate it when the vid ends haha... keep it up :)~

Great video, and do you guys deal with shocks for BIG trucks like trail rigs.

great vids
This is so awesome 😱
Would be cool to see a Toyota Supra 2JZ twin turbo and single turbo going head to head with the same HP.

Out of your experience, what brand for a turbo would you recommend?
does twin turbos affect on mileage

it's normally 325 go and 360 torque I just want to get it about 450 hp?
I have a '96 Mercedes s600, however I have never seen TT kits for it. Is there any universal kits? Note: it has a 6.0L v12
Hey I would like to twin turbo a 2005 BMW 545i could u tell me if it is feasible about 5psi?
what about twin turboing a Rotary engine like 1 turbo per rotor or sequential

Awesome video I have a trans am fire bird 1998 I was wondering if I could supercharge and turbocharge my ride Is it possible? Its a V8 5.7 engine
It's like Turbo SLI :D
Can u have two turbos but one big and one small ... the small one to spool up the big one and produce more boost??
HAHAHAAHAHAH

depends on what powerlevels you're producing
Okay, that makes sense. Sorry, still learning about turbo cars.
No need to be sorry for anything :)
this is work with honda civic vp 04 ? thank you
in the back?
Yay first comment
Leave it to a GM owner to mount a turbo to the tailpipe of his rust rocket... that is just pure stupidity... then again its GM!
