Does the party box 310 come with a built FM radio? Is it really loud ? Can you use a speaker stand and is the Bass really good? If you pair 2 of the speakers will it be really loud and powerful?

Why does this one look so much smaller than mine? Mines like at least 3 feet tall. It’s a 310 as well… did they make a new gen that’s smaller or something??
The PB 320 an the PB 120 just got announced and they will probably be available in april. Both will have the option to remove the battery and swap it with a fully charged one to keep the party going. Lookswise both will look more like the PB Ultimate. The lights will also be similar to the ones found on the PB Ultimate. I am curious to compare the performance in sound quality and volume since the 310 is already really impressive. Furthermore they will have new Bluetooth 5.3 with a new wireless connection technology. This might allow more speakers from the new lineup to connect. I am pretty sure that they won't connect to the older PB (the ones with the small orange JBL Logo). Can't wait to get more information about them.
I've been using it for 1 year, but when it was 2 weeks old, I noticed that the 2 small speakers were whispering. Even stronger with a plugged-in microphone. There were more where I bought this, so I went back. The rest were like that. Does it bother you? It's not loud, but I'd expect it not to be.
Don’t buy this if you plan on connecting a dj controller to it. The limiter is not regulated and will produce a BAD distortion sound of 0db. Theres a whole Reddit forum about this issue and JBL doesn’t give a rats ass to fix the issue. If you’re a DJ, best to spend the extra $200 for the 710 party box
@@chrisdesimone4249 It is possible if you have a Samsung device. These devices have a Feature called "Dual Audio". With it you can connect to two Bluetooth speakers at the same time. Great review. Question: I think many get these to play hip hop or dub for the killer bass. How is it with rock/metal? Looking to use it to play rock tracks to jam with my guitar which is plugged through its own amp.
Same here...I purchased a JBL 712, 12" PA Speaker for jamming with my guitar...while the PA speaker is absolutely mind blowing and high quality sound, I feel it's Too loud and not practical for anything indoor! It really needs space and volume to open up.....I'm looking at one of these Party boxes instead.....because I have a smaller blue tooth Speaker, and it actually sounds Spot On with jamming with guitar tracks.....the PA speaker almost sounded "too" clear for jamming with my guitar and there was a noticeable different in sound texture if that makes sense....I bet the JBL party box would be perfect though.
I’m from Brazil and I was kind of having thoughts whether I should buy it or not… after watching your video, I’m definitely gonna buy it, thank u for all those informations, it really helped me out
3:45. Balanced?? That’s all you got to say? WE WANT TO KNOW HOW IS THE BASS?!!!! That’s why the hell we clicked on this video for!!!!!! We didn’t come here to find out if it was “balanced”!!!!!
I bought 2 of these for my living room cause I wanted blue tooth speakers to move around with no wires. These work GREAT, no problems with connection after you learn the sequence of turning them and the TV on and the app on the phone to pair the speakers. I'm a guitar player and I Hook up my Boss JS10 trainer to it and it sounds like a Marshall Stack LOL you have to run it wired though because the trainer has no blue tooth. One issue is that I can't seem to find an EQ that will control the party boxes while running with the TV. I'm not a big Bass head really so these actually have too much bass on the boost setting, I keep it off because my dog freaks out over thunder and he hears stuff that he thinks is thunder coming from them LOL. These sound really good , I didn't want to go cheap on my sound so these were right in the Nitch where I wasn't paying thousands to get a good sound. JBL always makes a quality product so I felt safe buying them and the first one I got was at Meijer and they marked it wrong for 250.00 and they HAD to give it to me for the price they had marked which it really was 550.00 so I got it for half price, the other one I paid full price for ( bummer) LOL. I recommend these all the way and they can be taken out doors which is a real bonus and they have wheels like a piece of luggage so my old back don't have to lug them around. I'm happy with them for sure. Laying them down takes away a little of the sound quality for some reason so I keep them vertical.
Have you updated to the new 1.55.0 firmware update? I’ve only had my 310 for 3 weeks and am curious what the reason/expectation was for the update? And for the record I love this party speaker…Jbl does amazing work on all Bluetooth offerings
I’ve had this one for about 2 years and man it’s great! My only complaint is that the wheels are very small and they’re kinda useless outdoors. I tried DIYing some 10 inch wheels onto mine but the thickest galvanized steel rod that fits in that hole is 5/16 and it pretty much would bend with the weight. Might just buy one of those cooler cart kits because I’ve flipped it many times while rolling it down the street and you practically just drag it through sand when “rolling” it at the beach. Also, the rubber lid that covers where the connection goes tore off relatively quickly and I have no idea when or where that thing went or if it’s even replaceable. I just use a piece of duct tape over it now. On the positive side, it can get very loud and even though it’s not that portable because of its weight and size, the battery lasts a really long time for something so big! I wanted to get the party box encore for actual portability but the battery doesn’t last long enough on that one.
I ordered another one yesterday. Unfortunately, JBL purposely makes pairing newer and older speakers impossible. So if you think you're going to pair the 320 with a 310, think again.
Great review btw 😎I bought one of the 710s yesterday took it out of the box it sounded great I have two of the JBL 110s and even though both of them was not as loud as this single 710 something was missing so I went back and bought another 710 earlier tonight with TWS the 710s through true wireless stereo is a game changer it makes it twice as loud and I don’t have to cut it up as loud I can Play it somewhere between 40% and 60% I cranked it up to about 75% it still sounded great but it was definitely too loud from my house I took it up to 100% for about 10 seconds but that was pushing it I was just doing it to test it I think you get your best at about 80% then it starts getting kind of bright and mid range but at that point it’s loud AF. Once I downloaded the party box app I know it’s only a three level EQ but I boosted the base up only one notch not all the way to the top I actually pull the mid range down one notch and push the high end all the way up it definitely sounded Crisp. A pair of the 710s definitely kicks the only downside is there’s no battery but I have that in the JBL one tens and I got the 7 tens for $689 at Brandsmart and they had the 310s there for $489 marked down from $559 so with the 710s only being $200 more per speaker for me at least it was a no-brainer but everybody has their preferences I think the 310s sound very good also. If anybody has a question if they have a 710 and they ask just to make a difference I can definitely say will you pair them up and TWS it is awesome AF I cannot believe the difference and also download of the party box app playing with the different light configurations was also fun
@@Silence07617 Just press the TWS button on the back of each speaker and they will automatically paired with each other just make sure you have it connected to the Bluetooth in your phone first then do that
The fact that the price still sits around the same as it landed (here in New Zealand it was $790 - $830) 3 - 4 years later goes to show how fkn good it is. I was fortunate enough to pick mine up on sale for $670 and boi ohh boi it just may be the best thing I’ve ever brought.

Bought this with two wireless mics for karaoke. This thing is the real deal. I compared it to a similar size Samson. Samson had more inputs but it did not sound as good or have a lightshow.
I brought one before Christmas and was so impressed I brought another one 3 days ago. I will be using them for Karaoke. Just a note that in TWS mode both speakers play music in stereo but the microphone only goes through the speaker its plugged into. Simple fix, Use a 3.5mm male to male audio cable from Aux out to Aux in and voice comes through both speakers. You probably save a little battery power not using the TWS buttons. Sound stage, volume and bass is fantastic!
I really want to buy a speaker thats loud for the outside. I know JBL is great and it has 240W output, so I'm wondering if its enough for outdoors partyes and what about big halls on the inside? Is it loud on max volume?
Outside you’ll have no problem. Inside it is a challenge to answer for sure because the more people in front of the speaker, the more insulation will occur unless you lift the speaker up. It does get loud at max volume.
@@itstheBMAC I bought 710 with 800W output and it is hella loud. It shakes pictures, windows everything in the house. Eaven at 50% plenty of stuff shakes, with bass boost off and EQ on default.
I played it outside too and got cops within 30 minutes so yeah. Don't be playing it at max volume in a city or if you're neighbours hate ya. I love it.
Bought one to try out a month ago. Love the sound and features! Just ordered my second one to enjoy the built in TWS pairing. No joke window-rattling, but still clear volume output available. I totally agree on how nice it would be to have configurable sound effects…
I picked it up today, total impulse purchase. I was picking up an airfryer as a present for my friend, walked towards the cash register, and saw this thing on display. I wanted to buy a JBL Boombox 3 a few months ago, but those were €400. And then I saw this beast for only €350. I picked it up instantly. Unpacked it while still on the parking lot with some friends. Turned it on, blasted some music, and I have zero regrets. It fits perfectly in the truck of my car so I'm taking this thing to every party I go to. It's totally worth the price!!
Can you compare this 310 to two Rockville Go Party ZR10. The cost of one JBL 310 is more than twice the price of two ZR10. I'm wondering if two ZR10 will sound better or worse than one 310. Which is louder, etc.
ive had my partybox 310 for about a week now and i still cant get around the lighting. If anyone could help me how to turn on the lights on the top controls like the treble, bass and echo buttons that would be very appreciated!
Hi! Those top controls are only for the microphone plug-in. They will not be lit up during your music mode when connected through Bluetooth. Does that make sense?
This paired with the essential encore is all I’ll ever need as I have multiple portable generators I don’t worry about the battery issues with the encore essential
Correct because it'd NEVER be a true representation of how the sound actually is. The sound would be captured by an external microphone, processed in an external audio recorder, imported into my video editing program where it was decoded and then encoded to a video file export, uploaded to a video sharing platform that will process that video and its audio the way it wants, where you would then hear that music through whatever speakers you're using. Not the kind of misrepresentation of the audio quality that I want to be involved with.
I'm seeing very conflicting information online. Even the JBL Partybox 310's own User Manual doesn't list AAC as a supported audio codec. It's all rather confusing.
I appreciate you bringing this to my attention! Luckily my stance in the video still stands - it doesn't really "matter" when you keep sound quality relative, arguably more-so on a party speaker like this one. I hope JBL is clearer in the future about which devices support which codecs!
Thanks for subbing! That’s great question. Do you plan on taking them around with you or listening in your home? Do you care about stereo sound or just big sound?
@@itstheBMAC thanks for answering! I'm not interested in listening to them outside the house, I like powerful sound, but also stereo sound, that's why I'm confused and I don't know which one to choose 😓
@edermanriquez2629 to be honest, I would generally recommend buying good acoustics and a good stereo amplifier separately hi-fi or even high and, these acoustics are more suitable for young people and diss
The 310 was on sale for 399, same as the Turtlebox. I got the 310. I bought the soundboks 4. Very pricy. That's ok, I have 2 of the best speakers around. But the 310 is worth it.
I bought one, I was impressed, and it was great for Karareoke . So I bought the pair with the JBL tri pods! Highly recommend the pair to get the surround stereo sound!
I've got 4 of these as my home theatre system, absolutely insane sound,I've had 15k worth of amps and surround speakers and these 4 310's kill the system I had, highly recommend bigtime
@humorme4889 hi,you have to use the TWS button on each partybox to connect them together, just make sure they are all connected via Bluetooth to your device then individually push the TWS button on the back of the partybox's to connect them all wirelessly. Also to connect the partybox's to your TV,it has to be a smart TV.. just search in your Bluetooth settings on your TV and click on jbl partybox 310 and they will all work in sync.
Hey man im a beatboxer and i wanted to ask if this speaker is gonna be good enough with the bass especially outdoors as im gonna be street performing on it, and i wanted to know if i can play music on it and at the same time beatbox over that music with my mic? For example if i play some ambient sound or guitar sound on it with my phone and beatbox through a microphone at the same time? Thanks.
Can anyone access the speaker since it is Bluetooth? I know that with the older speakers, anyone could access them. My buddy said his neighbor used to access his Bluetooth speaker and play music all the time. He had to unplug it. I think I will get a Wifi speaker instead due to security.
@@RR-nl2ep You can only play music on the speaker once you’ve paired to your device when the speaker is in Pairing Mode. Pairing Mode has to be turned on in order to do so and is only temporarily on.

I'm thinking of jbl 310, but does the sound decrease when used outdoors with battery? I don't know which one with battery I will need for outdoor use, I'm thinking Sony JBL.
When running on battery power you can get 140w out of it whereas when it is plugged in you can get 240w. It is still super loud though and will be more than enough for casual get togethers. If the emphasis will be on the music I'd recommend two of these plugged in and in stereo mode :)

I love it.
If i wanna play music at home which one should i get 110 or 310?
310
Bought one to try out a month ago. Love the sound and features! Just ordered my second one to enjoy the built in TWS pairing. No joke window-rattling, but still clear volume output available. I totally agree on how nice it would be to have configurable sound effects…
Great to hear! Thank you for watching!
I bought this and its really good. The dude who created the design needs a raise. They thought about freaking everything.
Glad you like it! Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
although it’s perfect for any other reason, the lights just don’t look as cool as the 110 and 710 so i’m still deciding which one i want
jbl partybox 320
Great video. Thanks for posting this. Have a nice day.
Thanks, you too!
Looking for a new speaker for my daughter softball team for tournaments… for ppl that have this speaker would it be good for the fields?
Absolutely! Thing gets LOUD!
Can u play music and use the microphone 🎤 at the same time ? Example: play iTunes off phone and sing along with mic 🎤?
Try using it play from usb than see the difference in power music or with jack 3.5
Trust me you will not believe it
Can you compare this 310 to two Rockville Go Party ZR10. The cost of one JBL 310 is more than twice the price of two ZR10. I'm wondering if two ZR10 will sound better or worse than one 310. Which is louder, etc.
I’ll sure see what I can do!
ive had my partybox 310 for about a week now and i still cant get around the lighting. If anyone could help me how to turn on the lights on the top controls like the treble, bass and echo buttons that would be very appreciated!
Hi! Those top controls are only for the microphone plug-in. They will not be lit up during your music mode when connected through Bluetooth. Does that make sense?
a second and third iphone will not stay paired to it, am I missing something?
There is no multipoint connection. The speaker can only connect to one iPhone at any given time.
This paired with the essential encore is all I’ll ever need as I have multiple portable generators I don’t worry about the battery issues with the encore essential
I've got 2 110s one in each back window of my car.
I'm a big JBL fan anyway - great review - see what the boxing sales have to offer I reckon!
Happy to hear it! Thank you for watching!
And yet you didn’t even show how it sounds, brilliant.
I like the speaker but the other one I have is not JBL but I can listen to the radio station on it I don't think JBL has that feature
Anyone use in a vehicle? Like a classic vehicle with a stock system you dont want to update?

It has AAC support, it connects using that codec to my s22 ultra. I can see it in the developer options
I'm seeing very conflicting information online. Even the JBL Partybox 310's own User Manual doesn't list AAC as a supported audio codec. It's all rather confusing.
@@itstheBMAC yeah its weird, boomboxes only has sbc and the partybox sbc and aac at least according to my phone!
I appreciate you bringing this to my attention! Luckily my stance in the video still stands - it doesn't really "matter" when you keep sound quality relative, arguably more-so on a party speaker like this one. I hope JBL is clearer in the future about which devices support which codecs!
Definitely have AAC. My phone mi 10 t pro connects via Bluetooth with this codec.
I loved your video, new subscriber. What will be better? 1 partybox 310 or 2 partybox 110?
Thanks for subbing! That’s great question. Do you plan on taking them around with you or listening in your home? Do you care about stereo sound or just big sound?
@@itstheBMAC thanks for answering! I'm not interested in listening to them outside the house, I like powerful sound, but also stereo sound, that's why I'm confused and I don't know which one to choose 😓
There is a stereo setting for two speakers in the app.and the sound awsome.
The sound on this bad boy is AMAZING 👏 I've just bought a different speaker which is good but this one is on a different level!!!
It’s a beast!
I bought one, I was impressed, and it was great for Karareoke . So I bought the pair with the JBL tri pods! Highly recommend the pair to get the surround stereo sound!
That’s a dream setup right there!
How you connect to tv without using Bluetooth?
use the aux, connect one end to the tv and then to the speaker, no bluetooth needed
I was debating on buying the new 120 but your review convinced me to get this one! Got it for the same price as the 120 for prime day !
BANG! Love to hear it!
has anyone connected this to their TV's?
I tried it in the beginning, yes! I liked the way it sounded but didn't end up keeping the speaker there because it looked out of place.
Hi Brian - Does it have a recording feature to record my vocal performance sang on a karaoke track?
It does not, unfortunately.
@@itstheBMAC Thanks for the quick response Brian.
I bought my speaker yesterday and from 100 to 0 it took 3 hours why is that.
Just bought mines 3days ago crazy sound ❤❤❤❤
Congrats!
is partybox 310 still good this days?
For sure!
if I am using just the power cord, can I disconnect the battery from the box?
No. The battery is built-in.
The Partybox app is not working after the Android 13 update. Can you help us. Partybox 110
I bought my speaker yesterday and from 100 to 0 it took 3 hours why is that.
How much volume? Using lights?
I've got 4 of these as my home theatre system, absolutely insane sound,I've had 15k worth of amps and surround speakers and these 4 310's kill the system I had, highly recommend bigtime
Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Hi @darranschnepf7086 how do you connect these 4? im sorry i do not know how :( and can I connect this to my sony tv? thank you in advance
Superb....bt onething i neva heard that Guitar sounds like tiki..tiki..tiki..tikii😂😋
Amazing video! I wish there was a Wifi version of this (better quality via Wifi.)
Maybe one day soon! Thank you for watching!
Hook it up to an Echo Dot.
Thanks.
can you attach a mixer to this?
Volume goes down at 50% ....
What?
Awesome video review ❤
Thank you for watching!
Can you listen to music while charging the unit?
Yes!
Can anyone access the speaker since it is Bluetooth? I know that with the older speakers, anyone could access them. My buddy said his neighbor used to access his Bluetooth speaker and play music all the time. He had to unplug it. I think I will get a Wifi speaker instead due to security.
The speaker will have to be placed in Pairing Mode before new connections are made. There are therefore no security risks.
@itstheBMAC Ok. But can't someone nearby pair with it too? If it is on Bluetooth mode, anyone can see it and access right?
@@RR-nl2ep You can only play music on the speaker once you’ve paired to your device when the speaker is in Pairing Mode. Pairing Mode has to be turned on in order to do so and is only temporarily on.
@@itstheBMAC Ok, good. I feel better knowing that now. Thanks!
I had one somebody stole I’m getting a new one this week thank god
Sorry to hear that, my friend.

Can you connect 2 bluetooth device on one 310? for example in my case my laptop for media source & my smartphone for the JBL app..
Yup i do it
You didn’t check your spelling of party box at the start.
Drats! You’re right!
Hey Brian….. being a teacher I just had to mention the spelling mistake…. We’ve all done it! Not to worry….keep up the good work. Your video helped us decide to get the 310. Thanks for your video. Ron@@itstheBMAC
@@samtronicsvideo7232 I greatly appreciate you! Thanks for watching and please let me know what you think of the PB310 when you get it!
Just bought, ngl i kinda prefer my party box 100
Imma give it a week before I decide to return it
Trust me, 310 is way better.
I'm thinking of jbl 310, but does the sound decrease when used outdoors with battery? I don't know which one with battery I will need for outdoor use, I'm thinking Sony JBL.
I don't think I've noticed any decrease in audio quality when on battery versus when plugged in.
When running on battery power you can get 140w out of it whereas when it is plugged in you can get 240w. It is still super loud though and will be more than enough for casual get togethers. If the emphasis will be on the music I'd recommend two of these plugged in and in stereo mode :)
Dickinson Union
can i use this for busking?
For sure.
You can input any sound effects is you use a pedal board or something else before the input.
Good idea! Not the same as natively being able to load your own but a workaround for sure!
Breitenberg Spur
What if the battery busted? Can still working?
It should work when plugged in even with a defective battery but I cannot confirm this.
Botsford Wall
Can you use it while plug in an AC adapter? Or it will ruin its battery?
Yes, you can!
@@itstheBMAC will it ruin the battery faster?
Can i paire it with my tv?hisense 2023???

I bought 2 of these beasts and also stands for it. Absolutely satisfied and pairing them using TWS for stereo audio works great. Simply love these!
Happy to hear it!
