- Nicole drives around to three different McDonald’s locations to taste test the new Grandma McFlurry. Spoiler alert: The McDonald’s ice cream machines make this a difficult trip around town.
This was a fantastic presentation showing a typical experience at McDonalds.
No surprise, they don't even try anymore.
The machine isn't down. They just cleaned it and don't want to clean it again.
No, the person who sold them sold the machines broken for more money since ice cream machines were EXPENSIVE for some like him to make since mcdonalds was the most growing restaurant in America during the time

I actually think it has something to do with the manufacturer, they're locked into some contract and there's only a handful of repair people.
I’m so glad you are doing this. I’ve lived in the same house for 40 years and have 3 McDonald’s close by and I’ve heard that their ice cream machines are down for 40 yrs. I have 3 grown kids, 10 grandchildren and nobody has ever had ice cream at any McDonald’s it’s a big joke around here.
I asked an employee once what the grandma McFlurry was and he turned and walked away and never came back. If you even talk about their ice cream machine they get offended and pissy. What a joke McDonald's has become

I worked at McDonald’s as a kid and we did everything possible to keep our machine working. It’s mainly preventative maintenance.
Usually when we go to McDonald’s they don’t have shakes or ice cream 😢they say their machine is broken

I’m pretty sure this happens all over the United States because here in California none of the machines ever work but have you ever seen the video of them cleaning out that machine it is nasty. That’s probably why they don’t work half the time.

They discontinued the 🍊 creamsicle last weekend. I think they have a new seasonal berry flavor for the Summer 🌞

I tried to order it today 6/6/24 in michigan. Their machine was down. Ironic.
You are not missing out. I tried it about a month ago and it was WAYYYYY too sweet. Vanilla ice-cream, sort of a butterscotch sauce and a lot of chopped candy. I was traveling, and I thought I would get the usual excuse of the machine being broken. I placed my order at 9:57 at the drive-thru and received my order a few minutes after 10 with a bag full of free fries because they had already closed and didn't want to toss them.
Ask for Honey, they substitute Honey Mustard, and it's hilarious. 😂
If you don't know how to make it Buddy, ask your Manager!
I tried it, and it's yummy. And it did not look anything like what you got. There's no chocolate in it.
My son got the grandma McFlurry. It was like a butterscotch type of flavor. It was pretty good. Butterscotch is supposed to represent grannies because that’s what they use to carry in their purses back in the day.

Don’t know what town or state you are in, but where I live the machine is always working. The grandma McFlurry is butterscotch syrup with the candy crunch

This reminds me of the time I went to a small town KFC years ago at 6 PM, and they were out of chicken AND biscuits. ☹️

It looks like the person making the sundae thought it was chocolate but didn't bother to throw it out when he learned it was wrong, so he just added butterscotch. Lazy. I'm not sure those two flavors would combine well like that.

Duncan donuts is just as bad. They’d advertise Halloween donuts all decorated so nice and so you go to the store to get Halloween donuts. None to found at 4 different stores in my area. I got a cheeseburger that was so dry it tasted like cardboard and it was completely uneatable ! I would have taken it back but was already down the road and not worth turning around to return. The time before that last summer I got the new 1/4 pounder with a small fry and it was $959 totally not worth the money! What happened to you at McDonalds?
