This band is one of my favorites of all time. this album "Southern Weather" was their best in my opinion. the lead singer (Aaron Gillespie) is also the dummer/clean vocalist for Underoath and Underoath literally saved my life. they changed my life with their music. I admire their music so much. got me through some really hard times and is the reason I'm the lead singer of my own band now.

But people tell me that it's wrong to sing some of his songs because they don't speak about God.. Is that true? Is it wrong ? I'm Christian and I love God and everything but I don't think that music is only for expressing love to God. I think music can be used to express life matters,love, etc..

There is no right and wrong when it comes to your expression. You have the right to do anything you want until it harms another.

I was in high school when I heard this song...trying to find my way...and this calmed me and took me through.

Has anyone heard the Almost's cover of "Free Falling?" It was on the Punk Goes Classic Rock cd that was released not too long ago. It's actually pretty good. I think this band is actually really good quality. They have they're own sound, and they're not like the average rock bands that all sound the same.

@hisyouth1 I'm not trying to stop anyone from cussing people are going to do what they want. I was only trying to explain to a believer that it isn't ok to think it's ok to cuss. And God calls us Christians to spread his word and correct a believer if necessary. And I'm not trying to take his place that would be extremely impossible I'm just doing my duty. In the end I will be the one to answer to him, as will everyone else.
@theregoesthesunx3 Ya i understand that I hear it left and right and even out of my own mouth on a daily basis, but I try my best not to and ask God for help. The thing is this world is ruled by satan and is getting worse day by day. A majority of society is conditioned and brainwashed to think a certain way or should I say to not really think at all. So of course people are going to think cussing isn't a big deal, it's actually pretty tame compared to a lot of other things out their.

@vkaniluver While this is true, we are God's flesh and blood. From him we were created. We are God's children and like most children, we do "un-satisfactory" things. God is a very loving parent and loves us like your mother and father do. And like a parent, God sets rules. In God's eyes, if you slip up, it's ok. While God may not like you breaking a rule, God still loves and forgives. God doesn't like punishing, and neither do your parents, but if God must punish then God will.

Are you trying to say its just a belief and that you'll find out when you die if he's real or not?(please explain maybe I just misunderstood) As Christians it's not just a belief, but a faith and a relationship. I talk to God(JC) everyday and spend time with him by reading the bible he speaks to me all the time.

He let us become imperfect because It was our choice, It`s called free will. We abuse what he gave us life, you dont have to believe me but thats how it went. when i was a kid in a catholic school god and the bible were about love, forgivness, respect for self and others but as i got older i realize religion was about power and controle. i consider myself a free thinker because while i accept that there is a god i dont label myself as part of any religion because not a single one is right. but they all like to claim they have the answers. religion kills what is precious because death is unanswered
i use to listen to this kind of music. the emo screamo stuff because i could relate to the lyrics and i was really emotional and depressed all the time. but i could never understand why they all dress the same. kinda like a milder gothic look. i wear loose jeens (not baggy but not tight either) and a band shirt and i have long hair but it not "styled" because i think thats gay. i listen to metal now because the music is a lot more real in many ways

I emailed SHINE drums about sponsor, and got a reply about pricing of the set I described, and how they may not give any discount lol. it was bs. I can't afford a 6k SHINE set.

Has anyone heard the Almost's cover of "Free Falling?" It was on the Punk Goes Classic Rock cd that was released not too long ago. It's actually pretty good. I think this band is actually really good quality. They have they're own sound, and they're not like the average rock bands that all sound the same.

Here's the thing, SHIT means the same as crap, poop, or feces. I can say that without feeling malice, rage, etc. The problem is American Christianity's society has dictated what words are good and what aren't.
I miss Underoath And Its Sad that everyone(well not me but yeahh) its gonna support it now because aaron its not there...and yeahh i really love both bands...but underoath is just a part of me and dont wanna watch it fall...and underoath had a more orginal sound...(this just sounds like any mainstream band outthere)

dude, click wasn't an original movie to begin with. the idea had been used multiple times before that movie was even thought of. this vid is just another thing similar, and its not even all that much similar, just kinda. this puts a new spin on the idea. i like it.
it is a different aaron gillespie from an alternate reality to which underoath never formed and our knowledge of the almost exist because youtube and radio signals overlap both realities.

Ha, his name is Aaron Gillespie and he's the drummer/singer of Underoath. The Almost is his "side project" but they are super popular and you can tell why from listening to them. They rock. :) ....sorry, he's married though. lol

Replying this 11 years after, but yes, he is the drummer and one of the vocalists from Underoath, Aaron Gillespie. He formed this band in 2005.
