hello ive recently started working on ietls writing can you guys give me some advice on this essay that I've written about topic Some people believe that increasing tax on various industries will reduce pollution whereas others believe that there are better alternative ways. Discuss both the view and give your opinion. Pollution is mainly produced by industrial facilities. Several people argued that making the taxes higher on numerous industries may decrease pollution, while others accept that different types of approaches could be made. In this essay, I will look at both arguments and suggest why replacing the regular industries with other types of mechanisms, is a better way to lessen pollution. Increasing the value of the product in industries makes it harder for them to purchase, this may result in industries no longer burning those inputs since the percentage of profit will fall. Some believe that this solution is a move as these places work either for producing electricity or heat. To contentiously work, they need to burn coal or fossil fuels which is cheaper compared to other ways of generating electricity. Once this case is implemented hence it will be harder for them to use these materials due to less profit and therefore which will push those to no longer pollute the air. In other words, fewer fabrication areas mean less pollution will occur. Constructing Eco-friendly industries alternatively, instead of usual ones, and subsequently closing those working areas could address this issue completely. Since expanding the taxes does not fully do that. some argue that these arguments should take into consideration, as wind power and solar panels do not require any special materials that harm the environment, the only needed source is either wind or sunlight in this solution. This is a better way to combat pollution, owing to not a single item being burned, and also from the point that it is cost-effective on the other hand which also does not require any human control, as a result, it will also save time. In this essay, I have discussed the effects of industries on the nation and possible factors caused by this as well as the path that should be followed. I consider that shouting down those facilities and replacing them with solar power and wind could be useful to deal with pollution rather than increasing taxes on them.

By far, this is the best channel for IELTS preparation. I found it 2 weeks before my exam. Although I signed up for an IELTS preparation course a while ago, the tips provided by this channel were the best. To anyone preparing for the exam, this channel is so helpful. I got my results today: Listening: 7.5, reading 8.5, writing:7.5 and speaking:7. Overall band:7.5 Unfortunately, I did not have time to sign up for one of their courses and get feedback. I kept doing practice tests to familiarise myself with the exam technique, used Jay's tips for my answers structure and wrote a lot of practice essays too. Overall, I believe my background in arts helped especially in comprehension and synonym switches in the exam; I do love reading books. Best of luck in your exams and please incorporate time management in your practice.

@@krishna.panhale Hi Krishna! Thank you for your wishes! In my opinion, scoring well in Writing depends on the range of grammar we use. I made a list of grammatical expressions from the sample answers I read on E2 and elsewhere. I didn’t use any uncommon words or phrases. But I made it a point to use Complex sentences extensively in my essay (There’s a video on it on E2). Simple phrases like “in order that”, “From this point onwards” etc are more impactful as compared to uncommon words. In addition to grammatical range and accuracy, “topic specific vocabulary” has a sizeable contribution to a good score. You may go through a series on UA-cam called “BBC 6 Minute English”. You can pick up certain phrases such as “Net Zero”, “Circular Economy” which would be useful if you get an essay on Climate Change for instance. I wish you all the best for your exam and beyond.
@@valeriyapetrova2724 For Reading, I made it a point to scan through the passage really fast (taking about 4-5 minutes). After that, I looked at the questions. This approach made it easier to locate answers quickly and effectively. I would also recommend writing a word or two about the contents of the paragraph alongside it for easier localisation of information during answering questions. All the best!

If anyone needs another perspective at the writing essay 2, here's mine: Though soceities in some parts of the world consider owning their own home a dream, there are some countries where people would rather pay rent for their accomodation. I believe it's a better decision to rent a house and government should not necessarily be incentivizing families to own a house. Owning a house indeed has its own sentimental value but renting one offers more benefits. First of all, buying a house is capital intensive and saving up or paying installments ties an entire family to a single property for years. A family may run low on cash or someone may lose their jobs, in case of which paying off the house loans can become a huge burden over their shoulders for years. On top of that, even if a family owns a property, it's hard to turn it into cash in case they do need money for an emergency. That's why renting is a better option because one can accomodate their changing plans with utmost flexibility over the years. If government decides to subsidise property values to help first home buyers, then it would inevitably create some other problems as well. First of all, it would create a trend to buy houses where many families would feel pressured to own a home even if they don't need it. Secondly, many people would use the subsidises to buy a home below fair market price only to sell it off which in turn will disrupt the housing market. Policies like this have previously caused huge economical disasters like the housing market bubble in the early 2000s. So, it's best that the government doesn't implement the policy that will in turn increase the number of people who will end up owning a home even if they don't intend to live in it. In conclusion, I believe renting a home offers much more utility than owning one and government considering both the benefits of people and effect on the economy should refrain from actualizing a policy to subsidise first time home owners.

@@homeboyaman8875 sorry for the late response. I prepared within a month with the E2 ielts instructional videos, practice tests and online materials. I kept doing practice tests to familiarise myself with the exam technique, used Jay's tips for my answers structure and wrote a lot of practice essays too. Overall, I believe my background in arts helped especially in comprehension and synonym switches in the exam; I do love reading books. Best of luck in your exams and please incorporate time management in your practice.

In my opinion, scoring well in Writing depends on the range of grammar we use. I made a list of grammatical expressions from the sample answers I read on E2 and elsewhere. I didn’t use any uncommon words or phrases. But I made it a point to use Complex sentences extensively in my essay (There’s a video on it on E2). Simple phrases like “in order that”, “From this point onwards” etc are more impactful as compared to uncommon words.
In addition to grammatical range and accuracy, “topic specific vocabulary” has a sizeable contribution to a good score. You may go through a series on UA-cam called “BBC 6 Minute English”. You can pick up certain phrases such as “Net Zero”, “Circular Economy” which would be useful if you get an essay on Climate Change for instance.

@@valeriyapetrova2724 For Reading, I made it a point to scan through the passage really fast (taking about 4-5 minutes). After that, I looked at the questions. This approach made it easier to locate answers quickly and effectively. I would also recommend writing a word or two about the contents of the paragraph alongside it for easier localisation of information during answering questions.

If anyone needs another perspective at the writing essay 2, here's mine:
Though soceities in some parts of the world consider owning their own home a dream, there are some countries where people would rather pay rent for their accomodation. I believe it's a better decision to rent a house and government should not necessarily be incentivizing families to own a house.
Owning a house indeed has its own sentimental value but renting one offers more benefits. First of all, buying a house is capital intensive and saving up or paying installments ties an entire family to a single property for years. A family may run low on cash or someone may lose their jobs, in case of which paying off the house loans can become a huge burden over their shoulders for years. On top of that, even if a family owns a property, it's hard to turn it into cash in case they do need money for an emergency. That's why renting is a better option because one can accomodate their changing plans with utmost flexibility over the years.
If government decides to subsidise property values to help first home buyers, then it would inevitably create some other problems as well. First of all, it would create a trend to buy houses where many families would feel pressured to own a home even if they don't need it. Secondly, many people would use the subsidises to buy a home below fair market price only to sell it off which in turn will disrupt the housing market. Policies like this have previously caused huge economical disasters like the housing market bubble in the early 2000s. So, it's best that the government doesn't implement the policy that will in turn increase the number of people who will end up owning a home even if they don't intend to live in it.
In conclusion, I believe renting a home offers much more utility than owning one and government considering both the benefits of people and effect on the economy should refrain from actualizing a policy to subsidise first time home owners.

hello ive recently started working on ietls writing can you guys give me some advice on this essay that I've written about topic Some people believe that increasing tax on various industries will reduce pollution whereas others believe that there are better alternative ways.
Discuss both the view and give your opinion.
Pollution is mainly produced by industrial facilities. Several people argued that making the taxes higher on numerous industries may decrease pollution, while others accept that different types of approaches could be made. In this essay, I will look at both arguments and suggest why replacing the regular industries with other types of mechanisms, is a better way to lessen pollution.
Increasing the value of the product in industries makes it harder for them to purchase, this may result in industries no longer burning those inputs since the percentage of profit will fall. Some believe that this solution is a move as these places work either for producing electricity or heat. To contentiously work, they need to burn coal or fossil fuels which is cheaper compared to other ways of generating electricity. Once this case is implemented hence it will be harder for them to use these materials due to less profit and therefore which will push those to no longer pollute the air. In other words, fewer fabrication areas mean less pollution will occur.
Constructing Eco-friendly industries alternatively, instead of usual ones, and subsequently closing those working areas could address this issue completely. Since expanding the taxes does not fully do that. some argue that these arguments should take into consideration, as wind power and solar panels do not require any special materials that harm the environment, the only needed source is either wind or sunlight in this solution. This is a better way to combat pollution, owing to not a single item being burned, and also from the point that it is cost-effective on the other hand which also does not require any human control, as a result, it will also save time.
In this essay, I have discussed the effects of industries on the nation and possible factors caused by this as well as the path that should be followed. I consider that shouting down those facilities and replacing them with solar power and wind could be useful to deal with pollution rather than increasing taxes on them.

1. Whats the difference between a fully and well developed position?
2. When answering or addressing the questions or statements given, should you express your side when dealing with each of them or you pick a side in your concluding paragraph?
