When people say thrash metal started as a fusion of glam rock and hardcore punk, I always have a hard time wrapping my head around the concept. Then I watched this video...
I think I love bands like the Big four, Kreator, Overkill etc.. more than Exodus. But this is the best example of thrash captured on video. It perfectly incapacitates the fun, discord and metal fucking mayhems of the 80's thrash scene. I fucking love it all, its rare to have something that perfectly encapsulates something so clearly! If anyone asked me what Thrash is, all I have to do is point to the TOXIC FUCKIN' WALTZ!!!

Paul Baloff was the singer for Exodus who died of a stroke.. Steve Souza was the other main singer for years.
In 2002, Paul Baloff suffered a stroke which left him in a coma and he was taken off life support by doctors. He was 41 years old.[1] Following his death, Baloff's replacement in Exodus Steve Souza rejoined the band and sang on their 2004 album Tempo of the Damned, which is dedicated to Baloff's memory.

This song makes me want to find a pit immediately. For some reason it also reminds me of an early 90's Deicide concert, with Glen Benson ripping all the pussies who wouldn't get in the pit. Lost my favorite Deicide hat in that pit, but left only with the emotional scars of that loss and not much physical damage haha

"Used to be a monkey but now it's not cool" They'll play it regularly in their shows (been there) so zero fucks given ;)
