That's because they did a fantastic job of making the song their own. It just sounds like a Persistence-of-Time era Anthrax song. I didn't realize it was a cover until years after I bought this album back in the 90s - it just meshes so well with the rest of the album. The only real clue is the lack of profanity.

This is my favorite song by Anthrax. I love the upbeat tempo and the guitar work is awesome all the way around. And I love this guy's voice because he doesn't scream or deliver anger or anything like that, he actually sings - quite well I might add, which is rare for a thrash band.
Persistence of time is such an underrated album . Love it. It came out when I was a freshman in highschool. It was kinda the last hooray for them in my book and thrashmetal in general, cause it kinda went under ground. With the advent of " flying the flannel movement" ( grunge scene ), nu metal and progressive metal. punk was injected into it all. But thrash did not stay down for long, and all the different metal genre's.

I love how each of the big 4 have their own style and how they shaped the metal scene as a whole, Metallica is pure unadultered Metal, Anthrax is more Punk, Megadeth is something more aking to speed/prog metal and Slayer is more Death/Black
Honestly, I'd say metallica has more prog tendencies than megadeth (especially MoP and AJFA). If anything, Megadeth is more jazz fusion mixed with thrash, especially considering they had jazz fusion players like Gar, Poland, and Menza

My first concert ever was The Headbangers Ball tour at the Baltimore Arena. It was Anthrax, Helloween and Exodus. I was around 10 or 11 at the time...... I still remember it like it was yesterday.
I remember seeing this on Headbanger's Ball(with Riki Rachtman) for months! I couldn't wait to see this song and Holy Wars...Saturday nights from 11-2am. Those were the days.

Saw the Big 4 show in Indio, California back in 2011 and Anthrax had the best set of the day. They just went for it.
