I watch these reviews in awe as I don't know anyone around me who daily fondles a phone that costs almost $2,000. I certainly am not a part of that exclusive group who seemingly are half of the world population by looking at thousands of UA-cam videos. People asked for thin, sexy, foldable phones and now they seem to got it. Just don't drop it and should you need repair or warranty honored, where are you going to get it honored? haha...that was fun. I only have a candy bar phone that costs $1,200 so I'm jealous....haha.
The novelty of it wears off quickly. Source: used to daily drive both flip n fold at the same time and couldn't wait to get rid of either for normal candybar. There's a reason why nobody around you fondles/craddle these phone daily, it's not that useful unless you only use your phone for everything, literally.

There is a UA-camr called average dad that's selling it for $1,250 British pounds which comes out to 1600 and $60 US that includes shipping tax he doesn't charge tax to me that's not a bad deal out the door for a phone like this it's actually much cheaper than buying it from honor now you don't get all the free stuff but I never used a free stuff.
Excellent review. I know I'm probably being daft hoping for a reply, but would you recommend this phone, or waiting for the OnePlus Open 2? My current Z Fold 3 is still going strong, just the battery is atrocious now. So I'm not in a huge rush.
Great, in depth vid! I'd actually like to see a comparison between the Honor Magic V3 and the Vivo X Fold 3 pro/non pro. I'm actually in the market for a new foldable and those ones are my top contenders.
I own both, a vivo and, a honor. the vivo has better software and honor has better hardware. I think vivo is the better of the two all things considered
vivo is better but it only came out in 2 countries so very hard to find a global version and they are overpriced. chinese version isn't worth the headaches

Your score is the lowest I've seen from all of the other reviews, and I'm not sure why yours is getting these low scores, might be a misconfiguration.. I have the Chinese version of the phone and get consistent max 120 FPS in all the heavy games I play (doesn't throttle at all) I would recommend putting the notch to the top left when playing heavy games because you don't feel the heat since you're not touching the camera. You can also use High performance mode or Game mode to avoid fps dips (phone artificially limits performance too much without these) All the best, really love your videos.

you can not complain about the battery size given the thickness (or thinness) of this phone. no company in the market can achieve the battery size given the same thickness. definitely NOT samsung or pixel fold.
Again who's complaining about the battery size it's huge it's got like 15 hours of streaming battery capability in a day. Z-fold 6 only has 9 hours. Not to mention it charges enlightening time.

Samsung really needs to step up their foldable devices, especially with rear camera arrangements since they keep the same megapixel counts for many years.
My only problem with foldables is the inner screen aspect ratio on apps. What’s the point of a bigger screen if you not gonna utilize it for watching content
Why wouldn't you use dynamic refresh rate? When you're staring at a static image it does not need to be refreshing so fast? Also, it has a performance mode you can switch on.
I really considered the Honor Magic V3 and OnePlus Open, but ended up going with the Z Fold 6. My buddy has the Magic V3 and it's amazing, but it doesn't give me the comfort I want. I daily drive DeX, and Magic OS doesn't compete; software support with Samsung and being in the ecosystem already; and the third-party support from case and screen manufacturers pushed me to the Z Fold. That said, if you aren't in the ecosystem or need Samsung software, get something else.
the idea of a folding phone is to make thin and fit in a pocket well , they must have custom a battery which probably the cause for other brand to be thicc
Both the displays are so much dimmer than my Fold 4 for some reason. I don't have any auto brightness enabled. Do you have any idea why please? Other than that I love the V3

Only Sony Xperia phones can do Dolby Vision, as far as I know... but I'm not a reviewer, I might be ignorant of this key fact on color reproduction... 0 phones released can do over 60hz on Desktop Mode, sadly (except maybe this one?)
It is greate phone , but i am looking forward for next week on Huawei Mate XT - 3 fold fone. That will be game changer. Finally no black bars on opened phone and real tablet size screen. Just one drawback - no Google play services, and probably price.
Unbelievable how thin they can make a foldable nowadays! But, to be honest, for me it don't have to be that thin 😉 Just give me the Samsung Z Fold 6 build but with the Honor Magic V3 size ánd options (IR blaster, bigger battery, wireless charging etc.) The thickness of the Z Fold 6 is perfect enough! The China phones are destroying the competition. Also the crease looks bad when the phone is blacked out but when using it you dont really see it. Its a lot less intrusive than the notch or pinhole camera.

good phone, don't trust it tho with not having any sort of applecare type scheme, nor do i like having a hole punch camera on the outer screen which doesnt have a point since you can use the outer camera with outer screen viewfinder this seems to be something only samsung has figured out
the industry should starting make 1:1 camera sensors for foldables-such a sensor better utilize the camera lenses. the inner screen only compelling for gaming but no foldable is great at gaming. with a square aspect ratio camera, the inner screen becomes great for viewing photos and videos.
If I had to choose between one plus open and honor magic V3 I would still choose the one plus because this phone has extreme frame drops and it is so thin that I don't trust it I don't want it to break easily after I drop it

The screen goes practically black in the sun, battery goes down very quickly, very uninteresting looking no 3D background, tinny sound and low volume. Samsung Galaxy fold6 brilliant in comparison 👌
Weak comment clown comment 😂 I got this a month ago, 3 weeks before embargo. Oh so I used it 1-2 days? How about over weeks see the photos I went on a trip various sample locations. I did that in a day? We had new firmware updates 3 of them I had to go back and retest cameras. Harcourt studio mode. What folding features flex mode? The multi tasking other obvious features I don’t cover people know them.

@@pospower That's because it uses a silicon-carbon battery which pushes out more maH at low voltages than graphite but has a much higher voltage drop-off. Hence why comparing maH across different battery technologies doesn't make sense.
It's much more innovative than Z Fold6 while being thinner, lighter, and even more durable. HONOR's leading the foldables market soon!

I bought a Fold 3 for 750€ if you don't want the newest phone on the market just buy a/some generation older if you really want a folding phone

With that huge camera/video module on the back, Chinese flip phones look horrible! The Galaxy Z Fold6 and Pixel 9 Pro Fold have a much sleeker design.

I did that in a day? We had new firmware updates 3 of them I had to go back and retest cameras. Harcourt studio mode. What folding features flex mode? @@TChighburyagain with people bashing the battery life this phone has a 5,150 milliamp battery that's compared to the full for which is a third of the way thicker and it only has a 44 00 milliamp battery.
@@pospower That's because it uses a silicon-carbon battery which pushes out more maH at low voltages than graphite but has a much higher voltage drop-off. Hence why comparing maH across different battery technologies doesn't make sense.
Does this phone support Google Play Service?
