Huawei always makes the best phones. They say they are separate companies but they mainly sold honor to diversify after the whole spyware and US ban issue. But effectively they are the same and share tech.
Recently received mine a few weeks ago. I've had the Microsoft surface duo 1 and 2, Google pixel fold and OnePlus Open. This is the best foldable I've had so far.
I just ordered mine direct from Honor, £300 off, and got a free Honor Watch 4, Honor Earbuds X6, Honor SuperCharger 66w, also got the Honor Magic-Pen (stylus pen) and 6 months free inner and outer screen replacement! For £1,399. I am taking a big risk here as I've always got a Samsung phone! So im hoping this is going to be more usable than my Z fold5, the Z fold6 just wasn't worth getting for basically the exact same phone as the last one, which i have! Sooo fingers crossed 🤞
@WhatGear thanks for your video though, it basically put the nail in the deal and made my mind up to buy it.... so if it all goes wrong, I blame you!! Hahahaha 🤣🤣🤣
@WhatGear yeh I've spent quite a while researching many different foldable phones over the last month, I was originally going to go for the Vivo X Fold3 Pro, but as they stopped all sales in the UK, and software issues for the UK, it just couldn't sway me, then looked at the new Google pixel fold and yeh it's better than the tiny previous version, the specs just didn't cut it, yeh it's got it's plusses but overall, just again wasn't enough, as for the Z Fold6... Well, they really should have listened to their customers, we have been shouting at Samsung for years to make the front wider, and they won't, if the Z Fold had the same size front screen as a S series phone, then that alone could probably keep most their buyers with them. There are a few other foldables, the xiaomi, oneplus etc, but right now, I really think the Honor Magic V3 takes the prize overall. It's tough, as me being a Samsung fan from right back to the original Note1, the software is probably the best on a foldable phone, but only just! And the Honor may not have the Absolute best hardware, like in comparison to the Vivo with the camera's, it's really close, probably too close to really notice in everyday use for your average user. So with much research, as soon as I saw the Honor, it was definitely the winner for me! But that's just for my needs, and well, I still have my Z Fold5 in absolute mint condition, like new, so when the next software update comes, I will pretty much have everything the Z Fold6 has anyway, and I have an S24 Ultra too hahaha!! So I don't really think I'm going to be missing out on pretty much anything. Yes I'm a techy!!
Honor are not very good or quick on updates and operating system can be buggy. I got the magic 4 pro when it came out and in the end I had to switch to Samsung
Folding smartphones are still a new player but I see real value in this. I wonder if people will start to use more desktop features as smartphones get bigger, because I'm really excited for smartphones to become more capable PC replacements. I don't think they ever will be full replacements, but they can do most things well. I'm excited for more on device processing of voice and picture and other assistant tasks
@@DanielCalzacorta-g3x yeh I got dex. It's great, but it's not there yet. There are still things I want a desktop OS for to make up for its shortcomings.

The only reason I can't leave Samsung is because I don't know how much I can trust other companies customer service if I have an issue. My fold 5 broke and it was my fault and they didn't fight me at all to get it repaired under warranty.
Probably because you had Samsung Care+ & accidental damage is covered. I'm sure you can purchase Huawei/Honor's version or buy some third party accidental warranty from SquareTrade/Allstate, Asurion or Upsie. If I'm not mistaken Upsie & SquareTrade let you insure used smartphones for $7.99 & $8.99 per month. I know Upsie definitely will, but you can't make a claim for the first 90-days.
@@tfkrazvan | I've had the Galaxy Z Fold 2, Fold3, Fold4 & Fold5 & I've manhandled them just like any other phone I've ever had because I've always had an accidental warranty & they all been fine. I toss them around on the coach or bed, I accidentally sit on them sometimes & I've dropped them quite a few times each with some scratches or scuffs but nothing more serious.
That little clip from Titanic just earned you a subscriber by the time iPhone users get to see a phone like this that folds straight into Titanic. It’s been 84 years.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Nope. That's not the catch or compromise of buying a foldable for most people. First reason: Fragility. A 1.500 or 2.000 dollar phone that doesn't even have a dust protection rating, ensures that the device will soon have wear a tear damages on the folding screen, and if you top up this with the fact that there's no proper guarantee or insurance, that's a ticking time bomb. Second reason: Impracticality. As a previous fold phone user, I can attest that 85% of the time, you'll use the small display anyway. If it's in your pocket or purse and someone calls or messages you, you won't waste time unfolding it most of the time Third reason: Price. With that much money, you can easily buy a flagship with better hardware and still have enough money to buy a tablet.
Just like any foldable phone id assume u have extra money to play around so do get it insured in anyway. 😂 Also downside security patch and updates are really bad on this brand of phones but if that doesn’t bother u it’s still a good toy play with. Just focus on the warranty lifespan of the screen
