Really loved this show
Are the good old days I've not seen this for a very long time ago cheers for the memories
Thankyou to Made in Maidstone for putting all theses episodes up 😍
Redskins perform their current single "(Burn It Up) Bring It Down! (This Insane Thing)", at its chart peak of No.33 at the time of this episode. At the episode's end they perform "A Plateful of Hateful", which would appear as a B-Side on the 10" limited edition & 12" single editions of their 1986 single "It Can Be Done".
Every serlf respecting show has to have one wedding themed series finale. The episodes with Frederick Crossfield leading up to this were also really good. What kind of flowery jacket is Kim wearing, though?
Proof the show really was a soap opera at heart.
Great memories. Eating a massive bowl of coco pops while watching Ethel do the Sandwich quiz . Better than Saturday Superstore with Mike Read. Cheggers and bloody David Ike .
Jimmy Nail evidently thought the same at 18:39
Really enjoying these - thanks!
Could’ve had Bucks Fizz playing in the cellar, even as a trio it would’ve been a nice way to mark their comeback. Redskins are very good though.
Ethel and Frederick's wedding was an promising concept, pretty sad at how bad really turned out at the end.
Also the message at the end to promote the sixth series ''See you in February'' has ended up showing it a little earlier than planned. (which is 11th of January)
Due to the failure of Granada's music-oriented _TX_ which was cancelled just before Christmas 1985. Officially it was a "Childrens ITV Production" as although _TX_ was produced by Granada, the _Knock Your Block Off_ game show segments were produced by Central in Birmingham. _KYBO_ eventually outlived _TX_ and got its own series, though absolutely nothing from it has surfaced on UA-cam!
It resulted in _No. 73,_ originally a summer replacement, becoming a winter show requiring a summer replacement, which came in the summer of 1986 in the form of _Get Fresh._
@@antster1983and this began what I call the golden ITV Saturday morning era if you were an 80s/90s kid. With winters from TVS at Maidstone, with No. 73 and Motormouth, and summers out on the road with Get Fresh and Ghost Train. Rounded off at 1130 by The Chart Show (on Grampian anyway). I'll admit I liked On the Waterfront, but other than that it was ITV all the way for me.
@@antster1983 This began the IMO golden era of ITV Saturday mornings with the winter at TVS in the form of No. 73 and Motormouth, and Summer out in the regions with Get Fresh and Ghost Train, rounded off, in Grampian anyway, with The Chart Show at 11:30. This was my era of Saturday morning TV.
@@pipoo1 I always missed _The Chart Show_ as I had swimming lessons on a Saturday morning.
No disputing Neil’s a really nice bloke and gifted artist, but could anyone else honestly be arsed with his cards ideas! 😝
blonde highlights were the LAW back then my god
"never ending story, which is a new film" 39:25
It was only released to UK cinemas in April 1985, by which time it was already a year old! (First released in West Germany in April 1984, then in the US that July)
Anyone else willing the horses to go to the toilet 😂
Hi, would you happen to have any episodes of the show motormouth that followed on after this please?
The 1980s wasn't ready for lesbian marriage.
Ethel wasn't a lesbian.
Was this ethel's last appearance?
No, she was in the following series. There's an episode of that series on this YT channel.
What a load of rubbish, never knew this existed, thank goodness i missed it.
Any more cheek out o' you an' you'll get six weeks on the Mike Read programme!
