Just to hear Bunty say "lovely to drop on top of a person from a bedroom window..." 92 years young and still going strong in a Miss Marple-esque sort of way !
This one feels especially chaotic and that's why I'm watching these things
The live chaos of this is wonderful, as is the joyful willingness of the participants to make mistakes/fools of themselves if necessary as they go in good humour, something you imagine would not happen these days. That was also part of the fun of watching Tomorrow's World, in which a large number of the demonstrations only apparently worked during rehearsals! ;) A time of great good-humoured gentleness on TV.
Brilliant! Instantly taken back to my childhood. Imagine this today there would be a health and safety briefing before using the scissors and the knurled knob innuendo cracked me up.
They always seem to be having fun ,loved it as a child back then ,still do !
The 1930s revival creaked on. Love Fred's kipper tie! Great to see Bunty again.
Brilliant! And with Bunty as well. Thank you.
Bloody hell. Another 'new' episode on me. Thank you.
The music boxes sound like someone threw 300 bells off a gable-end 😂.
I remember this 🙂
Thank you so much 😃
What a treat, thank you so much!
God i feel old.
You and me both.
we are bloody old, lol
More How please...
Almost 20 seconds worth of endcap on that edition.
10:00 ... TV Studios don't usually have suspended wooden floors, they're usually concrete! ... 70's TV Cameras on their pedestals, were very heavy.
It's a shame Jack didn't move the musical boxes away BEHIND the microphone each time as that mic appears to be type that only picks up sound in front of it. It would have reduced the cacophony and made each box's tune far easier to hear! ;)
THANK YOU!
7:00 now we know what's inside the Ice Cream Van's loudhailer
This is not the missing S12E09
This is actually series 11 no 2, TX date 29.04.1975.
described in the TV Times as:
“Would you know How to tie a knot in water? Or How to play cards in a typhoon? Or How to make barley sugar? Watch How and find out How.
Plus champion trampolinists, crickets and cricketing, and How ants communicate with each other”
VTR Slate says it's programme 9 Maybe shown in a different order than produced then?
VTR slate would be correct. MIM contributer i would say has the VTR number log and transmission date.
Jack for gods sake, Ive got a headache, hahaha
Alan partridge!
Do we know exactly what instrument was used to create the theme music? It sounds like some sort of early synthesiser?
Mike Vickers composed it. Member of Manfred Mann in 1960s.
Nob gags in a kid’s show. Tut tut 4:00
Any clues as to the music at 10:45?
It’s called, ‘Jump With Your Legs Wide Apart’ by The Knurled Knobs. Nice, eh?
Loved this has a kid, 70s were the best, they actually taught good stuff, not like the bull rap today and especially in schools, can't believe what shite they come out with these days
Replace 'the 70s' with the 50s, 40s, 30s, 20s or whatever, and that's exactly what every single generation has said about the generation before them.
Zzzzzz...
Fred's items never went smoothly. I don't know if it was deliberate for comedic effect, but he seemed to have the worst luck
Some epic fails as usual …
